This article shows something that I did not quite realize until today. Many people have been living exactly the same lifestyle as my immunocompromised students are living, but blaming the rest of the world for not "protecting" them. If you are a decent human being you do not expect others to protect you when you can do it yourself.

For anyone who is still pushing the mandate I ask a serious question- why is the government not mandating weight loss or more exercise? A fully vaccinated and boosted person who is 100 lbs overweight is more likely to die than an unvaccinated person who is proper weight therefore if our goal is to force health on people what is the reason for stopping?

The A's is simple, many teachers give an A as long as you don't do wrong. Also some students have so many accomodations that as a teacher if you can't prove you followed them all you had better give a good grade or your job is on the line. None of it is acceptable but it is the way things work in too many places because teachers are not allowed to hold kids accountable.

There are two minor defenses for this: one is that the parent is required to do withdrawal paperwork to remove their child from their school, which likely was never done. Second: since child went to a likely a poor performing school she likely had many classes with subs/ non permanent teachers who simply call a name and if a child responds they are marked present. That being said it is pathetic that a child can be missing that much and no one at the school is aware or trying to fix situation.

I have been losing interest in sports in general but right now I am mainly only watching football. I don't watch hockey right now because Sabres are so bad still, I don't watch MLB due to games becoming HR/SO fest and politics played, and I am permanently staying away from NBA due to the Golden State Warrior owner stating they don't care if the NBA benefits directly from slavery with no reaction. There is no empirical evidence that masks have slowed the spread of Covid. If someone wants to be "safe" they need to wear an N95 mask, socially distance, and not worry about what others do. I think the poor showing in the Super Bowl was simply the fact that the Bengals were lucky to be there and are not championship good. The Rams lost several offensive weapons this year and played like they were out of sorts once OBJ went down. The game was ok but not as thrilling as game that has a last minute winning TD should be.

To argue against me you have pretend freedom is a difficult concept to understand? While there are instances where we might disagree but on the broad strokes intelligent people agree. I didn't think freedom is generally a partisan political concept but apparently some here disagree.

Our DE's need to take the next step. If our OL improves I think we might have the best offense ever but the only part of our team that disappointed me this year was the DE's.

I will submit that you and I will never agree, and anyone who understands history and the current state of the world who appreciates freedom is pro American. If you think freedom is a political viewpoint we will never agree.

I just Googled Jerry Smith and you will have to give me a more info on who that is, because it is far too common a name. But I realize your argument is likely based in the fact that we were so Pro American during the 1991 Super Bowl as political, which is sad that see recognizing our greatness as a nation as political
