  1. Not everyone watches sportscenter all day. All I wanted to see was a print source, and now we have it. Again, it wouldn't be the first time someone posted something completely false that they supposedly saw on TV. In this case, he wasn't lying.
  2. I wasn't bashing you. I'm just saying that without confirmation (which we have now), its just the word of another guy with a couple of posts. There are a ton of false rumors posted around here in the offseason and without a source, you have to take it with a grain of salt.
  3. He updates that page constantly.
  4. I'll believe it when I see a reliable source. No offense, but the word of a guy with 5 posts doesn't mean much to me. Note that Schefter has not updated his twitter page with this, either.
  5. Give the guy a break. What, were you expecting a more productive rookie season than Erik Flowers had? You people and your unrealistic expectations...
  6. Thanks for stopping by, Ralph. Best of luck selling Dick Jauron...I mean, Jim Haslett, to the fan base. You're going to need it.
  7. Realistically, no more than two. It may have been possible for the Bills to draft higher than 7th, but everything would've had to go right for it to happen. The Bills will almost certainly draft either 8th or 9th now.
  8. They can't possibly draft later than 10th, even with a win. We'll have to see how the whole strength of schedule thing works out today, but its very unlikely that they will draft higher than 7th with a loss, even though it might still be technically possible...barely.
  9. They'd better care. This is their last chance to make an impression on the incoming coaching staff. Most of them are playing for their jobs right now.
  10. Is anyone actually watching this game today?
  11. If the Texans give him another year or two, I think they're going to be an excellent team very soon. They're not winning consistently yet, but they're definitely moving in the right direction.
  12. Don't get your hopes up. The initial reports were that the meetings with Shanahan went well, too.
  13. That's fine. If the Texans change coaches and hire Cowher, I wouldn't be at all disappointed if the Bills hired Kubiak instead.
  14. You're right. I knew he'd been the head coach there, but I did not know how long. As it turns out, it was from 1984-1992. I'm not sure where I read the Cleveland thing, but obviously, it was wrong.
  15. Well, at least there was one positive to that trade.
  16. I may be wrong, but I think Nix and Cowher both worked for the Browns back in the 80s when Schottenheimer was head coach there.
  17. I agree. All this talk about the existing roster, but the guys they currently have are old and aren't playing well at all as a unit, anyway. Four of their starters in the defensive front seven are on the wrong side of 30, plus their top reserve DE is as well. They also need to replace Keith Ellison. They're going to have to completely rebuild that group over the next two or three years, anyway, so if they want to change scheme, now would seem to be the best time to do it. I'd prefer that they go ahead and make the switch. Yes, its hard to find a NT, but its also extremely difficult to find good 4-3 DEs these days and I think that at the very least, its easier to find OLBs who can rush the passer out of a 3-4 and that alone probably makes it a superior scheme.
  18. It may be that he was just unlucky in Baltimore, especially at QB, where he had a solid veteran in Elvis Grbac who retired early for no apparent reason, then they made a really bad pick with Kyle Boller. Then again, perhaps the success of Minnesota's offense during the 90s was more attributable to Dennis Green than Brian Billick? I don't know.
  19. He's not my first choice, but he'd be good enough. At least he's a winner and could bring some legitimacy to the franchise, which should help with assistant coaches and free agents. I do worry about the fact that he couldn't build an offense in Baltimore, but I trust him more in that regard than another pick from the defensive coordinator ranks. One thing is for certain: if they hire Billick, you don't have to worry about discussing Tim Tebow anymore.
  20. True. Once the coaching staff at Michigan changed, he felt the incoming system didn't suit his skills and transferred back home to Arkansas. Now, in one of the more complicated offenses in college football, all he has done is throw for 3,400 yards and 29 TDs in his first year as a starter. The difference between this offense with Ryan Mallett at QB vs Casey Dick last year is like night and day. He laid an egg against Alabama (who hasn't this year) and he's struggled with inconsistency at times, but generally speaking, he looks much, MUCH further along than you usually expect from a redshirt sophomore. I think he still needs another year, but he's been nothing short of an outstanding QB for the Razorbacks this year, IMO. And yes, living in Arkansas, I see most of their games every year, including this year.
  21. Have you actually watched Arkansas play this year? He's the only reason that the Razorbacks are playing in a bowl game today.
  22. Yeah, but he's got a quick release. That's all that matters. He throws interceptions so fast that those defenders barely have time to get their hands up to catch the ball.
  23. That's good news for Snead. Now that he's been knocked out of the game for a series or two, he might not throw five interceptions.
  24. Randall Cunningham had a slow wind-up release that reminded you of a windmill. It didn't slow him down. Sometimes, I think teams get in trouble trying to change their throwing motion. In Tebow's case, the kid has thrown for about 9,000 yards and 90 TD passes in one of the best conferences in college football. That may not guarantee he'll succeed at the NFL level, but its gotten him this far and they may as well let him sink or swim with it rather than throwing one more thing at him as a rookie.
  25. I don't think so. He has some maturity issues, but I don't think he's anything close to the same class of problem child as Ryan Leaf. Bobby Petrino is a disciplinarian head coach and so far, all reports are that Mallett has taken to it very well. I don't think its much of an issue.
