  1. Not really, sometimes you may want to do that to shape the draft a certain way, but sometimes you know who you want/need, you know how much money you have left and realize that you may not have the money later. Get that player now. This year I had Lamb and Cooper, I wanted Dak so I nominated him when I knew I still had enough to slightly overpay if I needed to. Your strategy changes throughout the auction, because it's so dynamic. That's the fun part for me. You are constantly engaged, unlike the snake where last night I went out back to catch a buzz while waiting 32 picks because I lost my 2nd round pick due to a keeper.
  2. I've never been in a league like that. Who wants to draft crappy players? You may nominate a player you don't necessarily want on your roster, but you don't risk getting stuck with a bad player. If you nominate Peterman, you're gonna have him on your roster.
  3. So you watch 12 players go by with zero chance of having them on your team. About 4 years ago I wanted Gurley and Zeke and because it was an auction draft I was able to get both of them. No way that happens in an snake draft.
  4. Once you go auction, you don't go back. No fantasy player underrated Allen. He went quickly in all my leagues.
  5. Don't know anything about this guy, but don't expect every person out there to think what we think about our team or what we want them to think. Honestly, Buffalonians are the thinnest skinned people ever.
  6. He may or may not eclipse 6 SB rings - can't argue with that statement.
  7. fortunately , it will never happen.
  8. So with each election, we could see different management.
  9. Who runs the state owned team? The Governor? County executive?
  10. The comment I responded to was about selling the team to the state/county, that can't/won't happen.
  11. I get what you were trying to say, but the example you gave, the report that the initial meeting went well, contradicts the point you were trying to make. They reported the positive news of the first meeting.
  12. If by any slim chance , the parties do not agree on a stadium financing package, they'll move before they sell. NFL teams print money, especially in cities not named Buffalo. It doesn't mean they're going to sell. They would move if it came to that.
  13. it was reported, bu the media doesn't report that. Right. The team is not for sale.
  14. I can't get myself to be remotely concerned about our WR group.
  15. 2027? Are they planning on a workers strike during construction? Took 2 1/2 years to build the Raiders new stadium in Vegas.
  16. Some ref on the sideline took a touchdown away from us at the start of the 3rd qtr.
  17. This isn't the first look at Webb for the staff. We are a 2 QB team right now and maybe they get to the practice squad but it wouldn't surprise me if they looked outside the organization. If they did chose 1, I think Fromm goes on PS.
  18. I was watching the game with my youngest son, who's finally getting interested in learning the game. As we watched this play I had to tell him that you really don't want to throw across your body like that, but that Allen is extraordinary and he can.
  19. Yep, I don't live in Buffalo, surrounded by fans of other teams, they think he's one of the best. It's just a buffalo thing of feeling disrespected.
  20. Atlanta is rebuilding, they wouldn't waste a 4th on player that might not be good enough to play in the NFL. They'll take their chances with a weak backup. They won't win much anyway.
  21. There is potential for sustained greatness with the team and McDermott is probably the most important person making that happen. Dabol is an superb coordinator for our personnel. This is a no brainer, McDermott is not replaceable without changing the whole makup of the team. He's the man.
  22. I thought the same thing...weed!!!
  23. same situation with me.
