  1. They’re taking some liberty with “star.”
  2. I want him on the 53. He looked the part last week and was a stud at Clemson. Obviously that was a long time ago with injuries in between but he’s no worse of a gamble than Claypool/Isabella/Hamler/MVS (to a lesser extent).
  3. Lol, seriously? A late round pick swap in 2026 has you worked up? The new kickoff rules have brought the return game back into play. The Bills didn’t have someone for that role. They now do.
  4. So much for that guy on WGR this morning that wanted to trade Elam (and maybe a draft pick) for Lamb.
  5. While we are on the menu topic this one is a home run: https://www.smoking-meat.com/how-to-reverse-sear-smoked-ribeye-steaks
  6. It looks like we are doing a burger bar. Our group size ranges quite a bit throughout the year (between 20ish up to 115ish). The home opener is always a big turnout. It becomes tricky to prepare and shop with that fluctuation. Looking like 50ish as of now. We landed on a burger bar. We will get a couple cases of burgers from Niagara Produce, brioche buns, bacon and 5 or 6 different cheeses. Still kicking around the sides. We will have dips, chips, vegetables, etc but still looking for the main side. One of the thoughts was to bring 3 or 4 air fryers and just keep cranking out fries. That feels like it’ll be too much work. Open to suggestions…
  7. Maybe it’s not a misunderstanding though. That’s where I go to. Those dudes are there every day. I would bet that the Bills didn’t want them vocalizing that for fear of triggering people like me. Maybe it’s nothing. If it’s something it’s not good. The Bills NEED Keon to be good now. They would have needed the same from: Worthy, Legette, AD Mitchell, Corley, Baker, Polk, Pearsall, etc… That’s been the point. Whether it was Coleman or someone else this wasn’t a spot for someone to “grow into.” I am on record as not loving the pick but that’s a different point. While I didn’t love the pick, I liked the philosophy far less.
  8. Last thing, to be clear, I’m not sure that he is behind Hollins. In fact, I doubt that’s possible. Tasker and Brown were talking about it last week. It was surprising. If that’s the case, it’s a nightmare. Neither played today. We will know for sure in 2 weeks.I can’t wrap my head around the Bills feeling more confident in Mack. Hopefully that isn’t the case. That conversation though was triggering for me. When they discussed it, my mind went to, “wait a minute this dude is battling Mack Hollins for reps?” It didn’t sit well. I don’t believe that the Bills did enough at the position. I love Beane. It’s biggest blind spot.
  9. I think so. He is a better “bet” than Claypool IMO. They have similar ability but one has less character concerns.
  10. Let me clarify again because it still isn’t resonating. Coleman isn’t a failure. He’s behind where he needs to be. The failure is using your top pick on a guy that is capable of playing behind Hollins. Coleman isn’t where he needs to be but that isn’t his fault. He was a raw, high ceiling, low floor prospect. The failure is on Beane for entering the season with this group. He needed to draft a guy that could be good today not in 2 years.
  11. Got you bro because clearly you didn’t follow (despite Gunner explaining). The failure is the construction of the WR room. You weren’t in position to add a prospect capable of losing reps to Mack Hollins this year. You needed to do better. They backed themselves into a corner and needed a guy at the top of the depth chart. The failure is the mismanagement of the position, not the player splitting time with Mack Hollins. He was always raw and has a high ceiling. They don’t have the luxury to wait on his development. They needed him further along than he apparently is. Hope that clears up your confusion… See above if you are also confused…
  12. All fair and I generally agree. Coleman will certainly play more as the year goes along. I guess my issue is what you hit on. They weren’t as desperate as they should have been. Coleman has been up and down this offseason. What he does well, he’s been good at. What he’s bad at, he’s struggled with. Long term, he may be good. IMO, the Bills needed a guy that is at, or near the top of the depth chart, now. They needed an alpha, not a high ceiling low floor guy to battle Mack Hollins for reps.
  13. Lol, seriously? That doesn’t make sense to you? We aren’t talking about all 32 picks starting!! For example, the plan was never for Penix to start this year. We are talking about a guy picked at 33, playing ahead of a guy entering year 7, that has averaged 22 receptions & 282 yards per season. All 32 teams would be appalled if their 1st draft pick couldn’t beat that guy out. That guy is a 5th WR (probably a 4th here behind Coleman). I am guessing that Coleman plays ahead of Hollins. I was surprised when Tasker and Brown mentioned that it was a competition last week. That’s a problem. If Coleman isn’t WAY ahead of that guy at this point, he’s not where they believed that he would be. With their desperate need for a high end WR, they didn’t plan on having that guy battling Mack Hollins in late August.
  14. …and you don’t know it’s not. I’m basing that off of the media team employed by the Bills.
  15. Is he? I don’t know the answer. Tasker and Brown suggested that it’s a competition. They know better than both of us. We will know in a couple of weeks. The fact that it’s a competition is the problem (regardless of the winner). The 33rd pick should NOT be competing with Mack Hollins. Shakir and Samuel? Sure. Hollins? Absolutely not.
  16. There’s a lot there. I’ll boil it down to the first sentence. How many NFL teams do you think would be okay with Mack Hollins playing ahead of the 33rd pick? The answer is zero. Regardless of whether it is Coleman or Hollins the fact that it is a discussion is a failure. 32 NFL teams would say that’s a problem.
  17. The Bills certainly have the draft capital. They can do Josh’s contract now if they need the space. Is it likely? Of course not. Is it possible? Yes
  18. I’m not sure if he is. Chris Brown and Tasker were talking about it on One Bills Live earlier this week. They were saying that in practice they’ve been rotating and the Bills may be more comfortable with Hollins in that spot at this point. It wasn’t anything official but the fact that is even on the table is a problem.
  19. Yeah, it’s a new day with the Bills. There was a time that was realistic. It just isn’t a thing now. Tickets are the most expensive that they’ve ever been and demand is higher than ever. That’s not hyperbole. If you are willing to go when the weather sucks the prices drop. If you’re willing to go if they are losing, same thing. The prices for prime opponents is through the roof. The Bills are currently one of the most expensive tickets in the NFL.
  20. No doubt that they like Mack Hollins. When you have no WRs though, you don’t expect an average NFL WR, with 5 seasons under his belt, to play ahead of the 33rd pick. That’s just not how it works in 2024. The 33rd pick is expected to play. On a team with one of the weakest WR rooms in the NFL, the 33rd pick isn’t expected to be 4th on the depth chart. They 100% planned on him above Mack at this point.
  21. No The only avenue that exists to my knowledge is the veteran of the game. Each game they honor a veteran on the field. That almost certainly comes with tickets. You can probably check the website to apply for it. A woman that I work with just had her 98 year-old grandfather on the field at Yankee Stadium doing something similar.
  22. The Bills really don’t sell individual game tickets on a broad basis. They have a season ticket waiting list. They do have some but a very, very small percentage. They certainly aren’t carving that up into different segments. Really, the only way to get tickets is on the secondary market. If the Bills are bad, they become a little cheaper. If you go when the weather is lousy, it’s a little cheaper.
  23. I’m generally a believer in waiting as long as you can. That’s what I do when I go away for games. It almost always works out. With that being said, $94 feels CHEAP. If things are going well, the get in price could be double that.
