  1. Lay the points!! This Browns defense might be elite. Darnold is turnover prone. Tyrod has lit up the Jets at times (not like Miami). Tonight is the night that they crack those beer fridges.
  2. Kaepernick?!? Isn’t he the guy that kneels for the National Anthem?!? I don’t want anything to do with that POS!! #Merica
  3. Is it? We just used a starting LT, a first round pick and 2 second round picks to take a QB. He has played a game and a half and you think that it is prudent to go QB again? This team has given up 78 points in 2 weeks but the QB is the only position that matters?!? It’s certainly the most important but we have that guy for another 30 games at least. Let’s see if he’s good by improving the team around him.
  4. The reason is clear though. He wasn’t on the radar. He wasn’t at elite camps and stuff like that. That’s how these guys get noticed. If he would have started earlier he wouldn’t have fallen through the cracks because he is an ELITE talent. It’s rare, especially now, with the amount of information out there for this to happen.
  5. Sorry to hear this man. It can’t be easy. I don’t have experience with it but my advice would be to always put the kid’s best interests first. That’s the one thing that you guys will always be able to agree on. If you defer to that to solve disputes I’d imagine that it would be better.
  6. That was kind of the theme of season 2. All of these negotiations, deals, etc... that he put in place are starting to cave in around him. He’s playing a lot more defense in season 2.
  7. Well he is a total outlier. He only played a year or 2 of football. Ziggy Ansah was the same way. UB getting him was more luck than anything. If Mack would have played all 4 years like that in Florida he would have ended up at FSU or UF. Kudos to the Bulls for finding him but he’s the exception, not the rule.
  8. That is how they play. They are flinging it all over the field. That’s a good comparison. He’s going to be a star IMO.
  9. That’s why Tua is such a good prospect. “He has pinpoint accuracy and throws with great anticipation. He also has the swagger.” Those are Kipers words. He’s Baker hit a little bigger.
  10. Cotton may too. Jeudy would be our number 1 receiver and Devonta Smith would be in the rotation. Both Harris’ would play behind Shady but get carries. I guess what people are missing is that elite college players translate. 2 years ago some would have said “Tre White is a college CB” he’d get smoked out here. 8 months later he was a top 10 NFL CB. The same goes for Lattimore. Elite players are elite players.
  11. It certainly plays a role. Murray’s numbers are almost identical to Baker’s at this point. Tua is really, really good though. He was the number 1 QB recruit for a reason. I’m less concerned about the numbers than the skill set. He appears to have elite traits.
  12. That’s why they are so much better now. Their QB will be a top 5 pick in 2020: http://www.draftblaster.com/2020-nfl-mock-draft/. He’s a more mobile Baker Mayfield IMO.
  13. That’s exactly what I am saying. I am saying the same thing here as well.
  14. That Miami team in my example had 39 players drafted and about a dozen of them were high end players (at least for a period). Andre Johnson, Clinton Portis, Ed Reed, Vince Wilfork, Willis McGahee, Bryant McKinnie, etc... This Bills team wouldn’t have beaten them 90-3 in their respective primes. Specific to this Alabama team they will certainly have 2 (Williams, Pierschbacher), maybe 3 (Cotton) OL starting next year in the NFL. How many guys on this Bills OL will be starting in the NFL next year? 1? Maybe 2? No one thinks that Alabama has a chance but at the same age I think that they would. They have the QB, the running game, the OL and the playmakers on both sides of the ball. They can’t compete with an NFL team at this stage but their talent is ridiculous.
  15. He was a backup there too. He wasn’t a high end player. He was a redshirt senior that caught 14 balls last year. He will catch more than that this year on the Bills. IMO, he’s not a good example to support that point.
  16. He’s pretty obnoxious about it. He’s a MAGA guy.
  17. I know and 30 is conservative. 39 guys were drafted from the 2001 Miami team. That might be more drafted players than the Bills have. The last 20 or so guys are interchangeable. Is Robert Foster more of an NFL player than Jeremy Kerley? Peterman than Matt Moore? Andre Holmes than Brandon Reilly? You get the point. The line of “NFL player” vs. “non-NFL player” is often dependent on contract or preference. The bottom of the roster isn’t necessarily better or more deserving than some guys not on a roster.
  18. We aren’t talking each year. I am saying 30 guys on Alabama’s roster will be on an NFL roster. Some guys (like Tua) can’t even enter the draft. I’d add Clinton-Dix and Ingram to the list. Ruben Foster too if he can stay out of trouble.
  19. He loves Trump so half of the board will love him and half hate him.
  20. You find ANY place where I say that guys at 19 are the same as 25. I’ve REPEATEDLY said that a college team couldn’t beat an NFL team. It would be 2 scores or more. You clearly haven’t been paying attention. The point was that when this Alabama roster gets to 25 (like that 2001 Miami team) there will be stars. That 2001 Miami team couldn’t have beaten an NFL team. If you took every guy on that roster though, in their prime, it could have been a really good team (even with Dorsey). No one is talking about 19 and 20 year olds beating men.
  21. That’s my general philosophy. LT is the only exception to the rule and I think we already have one of those. I’d never use a top 10 pick on a different OL than LT and even then I’d hesitate. I want guys that can impact the game on their own. Pass rushers, QBs, CB and pass catchers. Those guys can either score or negate the passing game. Everyone else is along for the ride. We do need 3 or 4 new starting OL but you don’t need to take those guys at 1. I’d take 3 of them between rounds 2-5 and you’d probably have 3 starters.
  22. That has to be depressing to have an NFL resume and then go to a practice squad.
  23. People think that less than a dozen guys at Alabama will be in the NFL. I’d bet every dime that I own on the over. The Bills win EASILY though. The high end talent though (long-term) is better at ‘Bama. That’s kind of the point. There are future stars there. We may have a few in Allen, Edmunds and certainly White. The point that I think Gunner and I are trying to make is that there are 30+ guys on that roster that will be in the NFL. There is probably not many more guys on this current Bills roster that belong in the NFL. Is Connor McDermott an NFL talent? Ike Boettger? Deon Lacey? Ryan Lewis? The last 20 or so guys on the Bills roster are not necessarily better than 20 guys just out of the league. They just happen to have a relationship, a good attitude or something along those lines.
