  1. 19-35, 243 yards, 2 TDs, 1 Int, 5 sacks, 32 yards rushing
  2. It’s funny but that’s what i said to my dad before the game Sunday. I’m looking at this year like that in a lot of ways. That’s all the more reason I’d just cut guys like Ducasse, Holmes, Vontae and run younger guys out there. If the young guys can play, you have one less piece (whether it be starting or depth) that you need moving forward. Guys like Ducasse can’t possibly be a part of the future anyways so you should try to find someone who might be.
  3. That’s the point. If Allen is ready to go it’s fine. I was all for starting him but mainly because you didn’t have another option. I thought starting Peterman would be tragic (it was worse). If going out there now, with this garbage, sets Allen back it’s a huge mistake to not have a viable option. Peterman does not belong in the NFL period. He’s an absolute and total scrub. They are forced to play Allen now even if they don’t want to. They should have been able to dictate his timeline like the Jets, Cards, Ravens and Browns can with their rookie 1st rounder. The Bills don’t have an option. That’s a mistake by the FO.
  4. If I had to guess I would bet the Pegula’s pretty much know already what the state’s contribution will be. I go back and forth some with the amount that it will be. I’m guessing at this point $400m-$500m with the rest coming privately.
  5. He didn’t play well but had another 77 yards and a TD on the ground. He isn’t perfect but he is closer to Tom Brady than Nathan Peterman is to Tyrod Taylor. There is no (and has never been) a debate as to which of those two was (or is) better. Moving on from Tyrod was fine if they were going to play Allen. They are now. Moving on to run that scrub out there though wasn’t a good decision. If Allen’s development isn’t stunted by going out there now it is non issue. If he gets broken because of this trash team it will be a massive mistake to not have Tyrod (or a serviceable vet).
  6. I’d be willing to wager on that too. It will almost certainly be a public-private partnership. They almost all are.
  7. That feels like the right number to me. That’s probably a standard number for a decent NFL team. I think that we may be looking at 5 or 6 this year. There are some teams that we just don’t belong on the field with (like next week in Minnesota).
  8. I’ll bet that they function like my clients do here. I have a couple of clients that have massive city and/or state contracts. They donate the maximum amount that they can to all viable candidates.
  9. I don’t. This is twice that they ran out a guy that is arguably THE WORST QB EVER!! At this point, the case can be made, that no player has had his level of sustained incompetence. Everyone that said that it would happen was WAY more accurate than McDermott. He had to do a 180 a week later. He made a massive mistake. I don’t trust him to not do it again. Peterman can’t play in this league. He was wrong.
  10. I don’t disagree (at all). Just because there are lots of holes though doesn’t mean you shouldn’t fix some. I’d love to see other moves as well. I’m all for playing younger guys as well and seeing if you find a player or 2. As an example, I’d much rather watch Teller than Ducasse or McCloud than Kerley. I’ll take my chances that those guys MIGHT develop over a guy with a long resume of mediocrity (or worse).
  11. I don’t think that he solves the issue. I do think that he makes it better though. He can help Allen (even if it is some) and is an improvement if thrust into the lineup over Peterman. He raises the floor (which Peterman resets every time he steps on the field). I also think it sends a good message to the vets and the locker room. They can’t ever run Peterman out again without losing faith and trust.
  12. Moore is my choice and has been. He’s a decent low cost option that has been serviceable. He may help (especially without a real QB coach). Additionally, he can play for a month in the event of an injury. I’d sign him through next year and see how it’s working.
  13. I don’t really know where to put his but is anyone else a little terrified that twice Sean McDermott thought Nathan Peterman was capable of starting an NFL game?
  14. I guess this is where I disagree. There is no more decision. He can’t play in this league so number 2 is a need. The dent to add Matt Moore while cutting NP isn’t even worth mentioning.
  15. It is all about development but there are short and long-term holes. Whether we add a #2 QB tomorrow or in 2019 it isn’t that different. If a vet QB can help with Allen’s development it is absolutely worth the minimal 2018 cap space to do it.
  16. I think that some (or all) of us believe that he isn’t an option as a number 2. He can’t play. Add a 3rd guy and in a week or so (whenever he learns the playbook) release NP.
  17. Moore is my choice. Landry Jones may be my 2nd choice. I’d seriously take any guy that is, or was, on a roster this year over Peterman.
  18. When you only have 1 NFL QB on the roster he has to play. That was evident before last week. The Bills can try to add an NFL QB to help mentor Allen but this is (and was) going to be his team at some point. That was inevitable. If they had even a McCarron they could have brought Allen along slower. They don't have that luxury.
  19. After he took $56.30 from me and I had to post a Peterman meme admitting defeat. I do feel vindicated though in that he was a complete and utter trainwreck. I don’t take joy in that but am glad that it’s over.
  20. Someone better check on the Bull brothers.
  21. That team and this team aren’t the same. They’ve downgraded at QB, WR, CB, & OL. None of those are even up for debate. That team was a team that could get to 9-7 if the breaks went their way. Despite being outscored by 57 points (21st in the league) they managed to turn timely turnovers into a winning record. This team is not that team. If they get a few timely turnovers they may be looking at 4-12 instead of 2-14. That is okay too as as long as Allen can play. People can prepare to be disappointed though if they expect this team to be around .500. They just don’t have the guys to make that happen.
  22. This didn’t age well
  23. The irony of the whole thing is that the first pick is a WAY more valuable asset than another good young QB. In addition, you don’t have to be right about the player. You would have gotten a ton for the pick that netted Jamarcus Russell or RG 3. You would have gotten way less for the player after a little time. The 1st pick in the draft can net you multiple other early round picks as well as other assets. No young QB generates that type of return (at least without a resume). If you want the QB as an “asset” what you are really saying is “trade down to a team that needs a QB.” That’s how it works.
  24. That’s not a bad idea IMO. They need a guy behind Allen anyways. I would bet a vet gets added but it could be a stable, mid-round college prospect as well. Maybe something like Ryan Finley with one of their 4ths?
