  2. Just read an interesting article on the decline (or demise) of the PAC-12. https://fansided.com/2018/12/27/alabama-recruiting-pac-12-national-championship/
  3. I went Oliver because I think he is the more impactful player.
  4. Had the inspection on Wednesday. There were some items that needed to be finished but nothing major. We asked them to complete all of it because it’s new construction. My realtor said a lot of these things wouldn’t be asked for on an older house but since it’s new we will ask for all of it. We are still on schedule to close on the 18th.
  5. Thank you Kyle and congratulations on a fantastic career!! Best of luck with the next chapter.
  6. The Bills haven’t sent a TE to the Pro Bowl since 1966! Think about that. It’s been 52 years (and a completely different game) since the Bills had a guy that was considered in the top 5 or 6 in their conference!! With injuries, dropouts, and such, there are years that they get to 6 maybe even 7 different guys!! At the worst it is 3. There hasn’t been a time in 52 years that the Bills has a TE in the top 20% of their conference!! That’s almost impossible. It’s a statistical anomaly. That is how we end up talking ourselves into Croom or Thomas. We have no idea what a good TE looks like. We’ve never seen one!!
  7. These are the kind of ideas that come from a franchise whose greatest TE of all-time MAY be Charles Clay. I can say, with some confidence, that Bills TEs are at (or near) the top of the list for worst position group ever. No franchise has ever been as inept at a particular position.
  8. I like Deebo for this team too. Worse, it’s a neck injury
  9. The reason that he is there is that he is the highest ceiling guy. Metcalf CAN be a number 1. You have him at 5th best but most other outlets have him as the 1st one off the board. It will depend on how he heals and tests but it’s not crazy.
  10. They certainly have to address the OL but they CAN do both. The thing about Bell is he would be the best receiver and runner on this team. I’m not opposed to him at all (although I think he goes to Indy).
  11. Michigan has recruited at an elite level since Harbaugh has been there. He will never beat OSU. As someone that has watched closely for the last handful of year he is WAY overrated.
  12. Yeah, he was an MVP candidate last year. He definitely hasn’t been better than Foles this year. He is scary to me. I’d rather they have someone that isn’t dangerous.
  13. He had 471 and 4 yesterday. He won the most recent Super Bowl. He is WAY scarier than Tannehill or Flacco.
  14. He will never (and has never) won the big one. I think Harbaugh sucks. He is too volitale. He gets wound so tight that his team’s no-show in big games (outside of the 2nd half of the Super Bowl). I would be thrilled if he went to the Jets. That’s a different issue.
  15. Dinner at Jacques-imo’s and Rebirth at Maple Leaf...great night out
  16. It’s Wentz or Foles. Wentz played at an MVP level last year and when Foles gets going he is unstoppable!! I would WELCOME the other 4 to that role.
  17. Thanks and congrats to you as well!!
  18. I LOVE this!! As far as I am concerned the Jets are the other team on the rise in this division. Harbaugh ASSURES that they will never win big games. I’ll miss him at ttun but will be thrilled to have him in the AFC East.
  19. Part of the reason that it didn’t work with Benjamin (and Funchess has the same problem) is that teams have gone to bigger corners to counteract the big receivers. That “he’s open when he’s not” doesn’t really exist anymore. The big guys that succeed all have speed (sub 4.5). The ones that don’t can’t separate. The other receivers that succeed have elite speed. You need to make chunk plays. It’s too hard to consistently win needing 12 play drives IMO. The most explosive offenses are the best teams (and that list no longer includes the Pats). Fair
  20. I totally disagree with this piece. It takes speed to open up the rest of the field. The Bills offense is the perfect example of that. Before inserting McKenzie and Foster they were trending towards the worst offense in history. TE play has declined in recent years. Ertz, Kittle and Kelce are good but the position is in a much worse place than 5 years ago. The only big possession guys making a difference now are Julio, Evans and Thomas. Julio runs a 4.39 and Evans a 4.43. They are speed guys. The other top receivers in football are Brown, Smith-Schuster, Diggs, Adams (maybe an exception but has Rodgers), Thielen, Hill, Green, Hopkins, Hilton, Cooks and Beckham. They are ALL speed guys.
  21. All different guys though. Old Art had his demons. Smith was never going to be a pro. Barrett was the same. Cardale was super raw and all or nothing. Haskins is a 1st round pick. He reminds me of Matt Ryan. We will see how it turns out.
  22. Yeah, that’s right. He was a 4th. He had MASSIVE upside. There is no doubt about that. He also had an incredibly low floor. He was either going to be a Pro Bowl QB or never see the field. He was huge, with a big arm, and a lot of athleticism.
  23. I’m of the general belief that if a rule doesn’t make any sense there is no reason for it to be a rule. I’m not surprised that so many are outraged by this. When you factor in the history of this particular official you can’t help but wonder if it was racially motivated? Add in the fact that he was a kid and it’s even worse. It’s almost 2019 there is no place for this kind of abuse of power.
