  1. I’m higher on Jackson than you. 1. Baker 2. Allen 3. Jackson 4. Rosen 5. Darnold
  2. He is good
  3. Josh can play!! That’s my only takeaway from today. We MAY have a guy. That’s exciting.
  4. Don’t be mad at the odds. The people at Westgate plug in all of their data and spit out their odds. Vegas is usually pretty close. They say Alabama is a 49.5 point underdog to New England. This conversation started from THEIR opinion, not ours.
  5. New England New England is -49.5 to Alabama according to Westgate. I’m not sure why they’d only give 33 to UB? It’s posted earlier on this article. We should leave the oddsmaking up to the professionals.
  6. Last year is the best example of it imo. This year they were behind a 2 loss LSU team. The committee hasn’t been kind to the Buckeyes at all.
  7. 100% agree on the infusion of talent needed on offense. Vance McDonald would have been a great addition!!
  8. No what ifs, he was 9-7 in 2005 after taking over a team that was 4-12 the previous year. Those are facts. The Dolphins tried to sign Drew Brees but he failed the physical. This isn’t some far-fethched “if my aunt was an uncle” scenario. https://www.google.com/amp/s/syndication.bleacherreport.com/amp/1448986-miami-dolphins-nick-saban-says-team-offered-drew-brees-contract-in-2006.amp.html
  9. My point is that it doesn’t matter. You shouldn’t settle on any of those guys. Next year, try someone else new. You can throw a rock and find the production that those guys give you. Keep cycling through until you find guys that can actually play. I agree with this. I’m not saying that he is worthless. He’s a JAG. I’m never going to be upset when a JAG moves on. It is refreshing when a franchise doesn’t settle. O’Leary is an average 3rd TE. That’s not a hard role to replace.
  10. Has this team suffered at all by trying Croom instead? How many more games would they have won with O’Leary’s 7 catches? The back of roster JAGs are 100% replaceable. As soon as you realize a guy is no better or worse than street FAs, it’s time to try someone new. Whether it works or not you are no worse off. You should NEVER pay for a guy that can be replaced by an UDFA. That’s a poor business decision and typical of the Dolphins. I hope that he hauls in another 1/2 catch a game for them next year for $1.5M.
  11. A guy actually lost to the girl last year. He didn’t do so well on Twitter after.
  12. He has 7 more catches and 77 more yards than I do this season. At best, he’s a 3rd TE on a bad team. There’s no reason to ever protect a guy like that. Take a shot on a different fringe guy and hope that he’s better.
  13. I guess the point is that neither of them are NFL Tight Ends. You should keep swinging but don’t ever settle for the 3rd TE on one of the worst teams in the league. Hold yourself to a higher standard. Do better.
  14. We disagree. I have it at 20. We will never know but certainly we can’t say something will “definitely” happen. They will never play. We all have our opinions by no one is right or wrong.
  15. So many people that haven’t even seen them play until today!! It’s tough to have a strong opinion without ever actually watching. Whatever though, I think that the points have been made in both sides. I think it’s 20, some that I respect (like Thurm) think it’s 40. We will never know. All that we know is a professional thinks it’s 28.5.
  16. So Alabama beat, arguably, the 2nd best team in the country with their backup QB and we are trashing them?
  17. He was 9-7 with trash talent in year one. If he picked Brees instead of Culpepper he’d still be coaching.
  18. He has 7 catches for 77 yards on the season. We haven’t exactly been punished by the decision. I won’t lose a wink of sleep letting a bad player go for a different bad player. I give them credit for trying to upgrade. They should keep trying this offseason.
  19. It’s the weirdest thing. You’d think by dumb luck you’d fall into a guy that became good. The odds of SOMEONE being good have to take over at some point. That’s kind of why people are debating the merits of O’Leary vs. Thomas. The answer is none of the above. We have such a low bar. I’m hoping that TE is addressed this offseason. Tyler Eiffert is NEVER healthy but is a good “buy low” candidate imo. It’s worth a shot.
  20. Naw, he’s over at Ryan Neufeld’s.
  21. He’s watching games at Derek Fine’s house with Tim Euhus and Dorin Dickerson.
  22. I’d be happy to tell him how average he was. The same goes for Riemersma. The last “good” Bills TE was Ernie Warlick and he hasn’t played for the Bills in over 50 years!!
  23. I can’t believe how people have positive things to say about any of these TEs. They ALL stink. Clay was fine before all of the injuries but other than that we’ve never had decent TE play (forget about good). O’Leary, Thomas, Croom, Lee, Lee Smith, Chandler, etc... are all bums.
  24. That’s even worse!! We steal the 76ers thing, change a word and pretend we own it?!? C’mon!!
