  1. I think that you missed the point. Those guys weren’t cherry picked at all. That is every Alabama defensive player, over the last 5 years, to go in the 1st 4 rounds. There will be a bunch more this year. There will be a bunch more next year. You need to be 3 years out of high school to enter the NFL draft. Not every guy will play in the NFL next year. Not every guy will be there by the year after. Patrick Surtain Jr. is a true freshman, the number 1 CB recruit in the country, and a key player. Is he bad because he can’t be in the NFL until 2021? He’s on this team and ABSOLUTELY will be an NFL player, just not next year. That’s why you need a multi-year sample size.
  2. Hmmm, never heard of him...
  3. I added Paradis and Saffold in FA
  4. No issue at all with this. He is really bad. I’d keep throwing things against the wall until you find one that sticks.
  5. Here comes the hyperbole police....who on Alabama is 17? Robert Foster is a 24 year old rookie. Last year he was a 23 year old college kid. Tre White was a 22 year old rookie. Tremaine Edmunds is a 20 year old starting MLB. Jonah Williams is a 21 year old LT. The point is the overwhelming majority of guys playing at Alabama are as old as the young guys on the Bills.
  6. This was a natural next step. There will be a public-private partnership that will come together to bring the Bills and Sabres up to modern standards. I still believe that we are looking at a new football stadium and an upgraded arena but we will see. Either way this will be a joint effort like they pretty much all are these days.
  7. This is fair. The speed in a one game sample would be a huge adjustment. It’s smaller for them though than any other college team between practice, the SEC and Clemson every year. I don’t think ANY reasonable person thinks that they can win. I have a 20 point game mostly because I think that their defense would hold their own against the Bills. They have so much offensive talent that I have them scoring once. I have them kicking a FG as well off of a turnover.
  8. The answer is simple, they didn’t grow up with the game. The overwhelming majority of Americans didn’t grow up playing hockey. They didn’t grow up with friends that played. In terms of participation in this country it is well behind things like golf, track, swimming, etc... It is expensive to play and regionlized to a great degree. There are places in this country (I live in one) where it is like cricket. The people don’t know the players, the rules, etc... It isn’t even on the radar.
  9. ...and the guy on the other side was a 5-star recruit that isn’t draft eligible this year. 2 years from now, he will be starting in the NFL. Again, I’m not saying that the Bills defense wouldn’t give Alabama a hard time. I just don’t see sack records being shattered against an OL and QB as TALENTED (not experienced) as some that we will play. Just for clarity sake, does everyone here understand that you need to be 3 years removed from high school to enter the NFL Draft? It feels like a lot of people get hung up on the number of people Alabama sends to the NFL every year. There are (conservatively) 30+ people on this roster that will be playing in the NFL. I’d venture to say 10+ (minimum) that are picked in round 1. That’s a ton of talent. Secondly, in terms of the whole size and strength thing there is virtually no difference in the ‘Bama guys and NFL guys. The Bills OL is actually smaller than Alabama’s. The ‘Bama strength coach makes about double what the Bills strength coach does. The biggest difference between the teams is knowledge and experience. The Bills will be able to identify things on both sides of the ball that will allow for plays to be made. Now, Alabama has Nick Saban to try to negate some of that but he can only do so much. The biggest mismatch is mental, not physical. I have game at 30–10. You are kind of making my point here. If they have 12 this year as many project that’s 34 over a 3 year span. That doesn’t even account for current NFL starters in Foster and Wallace that we’re undrafted. It isn’t AT ALL unrealistic to say that there are 30+ NFL players on the best team that Alabama has had.
  10. The most ironic part about all of this is that if you polled TBD on the guy that they want in the 1st the guy against Jerry Hughes would be the most popular choice. This place will be THRILLED if we add Jonah Williams to the OL. The hyperbole in this thread is out of control. He isn’t going to break the sack record against a top 10 pick.
  11. I’m sure fhat I missed a ton. I was kind of skimming through it.
  12. Here are some of my favorites:

  14. I was inspired by @thunderingsquid so here it is (with the disclaimer that I have no idea on the value of some of these guys). Leo Lewis is one of my favorite picks and in hindsight I might have done some things differently. Anyways: 8: R1P8 CB GREEDY WILLIAMS LSU 40: R2P8 WR N'KEAL HARRY ARIZONA STATE 71: R3P7 WR DEEBO SAMUEL SOUTH CAROLINA 110: R4P8 RB BRYCE LOVE STANFORD 133: R4P31 TE JACE STERNBERGER TEXAS A&M 147: R5P8 EDGE LEO LEWIS MISSISSIPPI ST 168: R5P29 G DARRYL WILLIAMS MISSISSIPPI ST 183: R6P8 LB T.J. EDWARDS WISCONSIN 224: R7P8 S JORDAN FULLER OHIO ST 239: R7P23 C JAKE HANSON OREGON
  15. This is where I’m at with Edmunds. I am very excited about what the future may hold but at the present time he struggles against the run. He plays on his toes and gets caught up in traffic. He reminds me of an outfielder that always takes the first step in. Often they can recover with elite athleticism (which he has) but better technique and discipline will be crucial to taking the next step.
  16. I buy the $100 ones and they’ve worked fine for me. They don’t look like cheap, imitations from China and you don’t need a 2nd mortgage for them. That’s usually the best route IMO.
  17. That’s the problem. We spent 3 or 4 hours on Bourbon before and then had a few beers there. It was miserable. It’s a weird thing because by the time the main events roll around you are kind of over it. It wears you out.
  18. What was the thread where that njbuffcuse (or whatever his name was) guy went off the deep end? Watching people completely meltdown is always funny.
  19. No changes on this end!! I just know how to have a good time. I do need to issue a warning though to anyone that hasn’t been to Wrestlenania. It is by far, the longest event that you will ever attend. You will be there 6 to 8 hours. It is a different feeling.
  20. I went this year. It’s a good time. There are so many wrestling events that go on that week. I have a friend that was at a show that started at like 2:00 AM on a Tuesday. I will always go to WM when it comes to New Orleans. I don’t know if I’ll ever travel to attend one.
  21. He’s in year 5 in the league. That’s not a complete failure.
  22. He’s has outlived the average NFL career despite a mental breakdown where he ended up with no pants on. I would call a day 2 pick a solid pro. He probably has amounted to an average 2nd rounder.
  23. I kind of agree too BB. I don’t know what is a better solution. It’s weird because if the offense fumbles on the sideline they maintain position but if it goes through the end zone you turn it over. It doesn’t make a ton of sense.
