  1. There are a few that are good. Pat Pete is still good. Ramsey is an idiot but elite. Lattimore and Humphrey are really good players. There are a bunch in the mix (including Tre).
  2. I agree with all of this. Tre made the Gilmore loss okay. If Gilmore is 1, Tre is somewhere in the top 5. He’s a great, great football player (and character).
  3. He’s always been a big Bills fan. I think he’s even a season ticket holder.
  4. I’m not sure that they focus on a big contract “elsewhere.” They focus on a big contract “anywhere.” Guys aren’t just trying to get out of Buffalo. They are trying to get paid.
  5. Tre is ELITE. His game has no holes and he is a high character guy. He’s one of the best players in football.
  6. He will get the invite I think. This is the most complete Buckeye team that I can remember. Outside of QB depth there is nothing holding them back. They can dominate the game from every level on the field with the possible exception of the LBs (and they are much improved). Every other position group can completely take over a game. It’s insane.
  7. I’d give 3 1sts for Chase Young
  8. Got it, he didn’t break in because the door was unlocked. We are in agreement on the vacuum hose though correct? https://youtu.be/NO82rh760l8
  9. Jameis was the 1st overall pick. He will be given multiple chances. Duke was in the CFL and out of the league. He EARNED his way back. Chad has numerous incidents and poor decisions. The last pick in the draft doesn’t get the same amount of rope as the 1st pick in the draft. That’s the “juice not being worth the squeeze.” He has gotten the chances because of Elway and Reich being friends with Kelly.
  10. Just to be clear I don’t think Chad Kelly is terrible. He’s better than some guys floating out there. With that being said a guy with his talent and checkered past would likely be out of the league if not for Jim’s relationships. He falls into the “juice isn’t worth the squeeze” category.
  11. Not flawed at all, he was the last pick in the draft. He has a laundry list of injuries and off the field incidents. His horrible decision making has been well-documented. If he wasn’t an idiot he probably would have been a mid-round pick. He’s not a “championship level QB.” That would require him to win championships. He didn’t perform well in “team situations” either. He was at the team Halloween party and asked to leave. Chad proceeded to break into the home of a married woman and was beaten with a vacuum hose. He was released shortly thereafter. He’s, maybe a top 70 QB(ish) and has red flags galore. If his name was anything else he wouldn’t be around.
  12. My issue with the bolded is that you are missing the two most important reasons that he keeps getting chances: last name and his uncle’s relationships. If his name was Chad Jones and his uncle was a welder he would have been out of the league a while ago. I don’t begrudge him for taking advantage of the situation but he’s been presented an opportunity and more chances than a regular person with the same resume/rap sheet would have.
  13. There are a couple of ideas that have been floated in different sports that I kind of like. 1. All of the non-playoff teams have their own tournament for draft order. Single elimination with wins moving your pick earlier. Once you are eliminated the teams with the best record pick sooner than the teams with the worse record. 2. Do the same without the tournament. The last team to miss the playoffs picks 1st and works backwards from there. This prevents tanking IMO. It benefits you to win.
  14. Yeah, all that he needs is someone to give him a chance...
  15. I just saw it and had to add it to this. They’ve given up 1 TD and have 18 INTs. That’s better than NP
  16. As historically great as the Pats D is to this point opposing QBs are still doing better against them than Peterman did against anyone (courtesy of Bill Barnwell) ??: Player A: 52.3% completion percentage, 4.2 yards per attempt, 9.2% INT rate Player B: 50.8% completion percentage, 5.0 yards per attempt, 7.8% INT rate Player A is quarterback Nathan Peterman, who was badly overmatched in his four starts with the Bills from 2017 to '18. The fifth-round pick posted a passer rating of 32.5 on 130 pass attempts; when you adjust for era using Pro Football Reference's index statistics, Peterman is the second-worst quarterback in the history of football with 100 or more pass attempts. Player B isn't really one player; it's the collected line of all the quarterbacks who have faced the New England Patriots' defense this season. Those quarterbacks have combined to post a passer rating of 35.6, just 3.1 points better than Peterman's mark. I get that the Patriots haven't played a tough slate of opposing quarterbacks, but they've still gone up against veterans such as Ben Roethlisberger and Colt McCoy and highly touted young players such as Sam Darnold and Daniel Jones. Bill Belichick's defense has reduced them to collectively performing about as poorly as the worst quarterback of the past 80 years.
  17. Fair enough and he may have lost a step. With that being said how many times have we said, “if ______ was in ______’s system he’d be a star.” The reality is that Josh Gordon has been a dominant player while playing in an all-time bad situation. It’s reasonable to believe that he could be at least a good player in a good situation. He’s actually proven that he can dominate (not saying that he will again).
  18. I mean Josh Gordon is an obvious yes if you get the chance. He’s an elite talent that instantly upgrades our group. The cost is minimal and there is no pick associated with it. He’s the type of guy that can win you a game. ...except for the year that he had 1646 yards with Jason Campbell and Brandon Weeden throwing him the football. Even this year he’s averaging around 50 yards a game.
  19. I hope so and not just for selfish reasons. That guy has been through hell. I hope that every team cares enough about the person to at least consider what’s best for him.
  20. If I understand the process correctly they just have to wait until after the trade deadline passes and then he will be subjected to waivers. That’s exactly what the Patriots will do. He will ask in good faith and for his own well-being to be able to pick his situation. I doubt that they allow that.
  21. Yeah, I think it’s unlikely too. If he could be had for a 3rd though I’d do it in a second.
  22. Corey Davis is rumored to be out there and would be an interesting “Jerry Hughes type” of move. You can maybe resurrect the career of a former early pick with a lot of talent. He’s played with trash Mariota.
  23. That is insane. In fairness though we would need to break out those other 2 teams as well to see what the d scored and how many points were allowed by the offense or ST. While this stat MOSTLY is a representation of defense it does say “Patriots, Bucs, Ravens” and not “Patriots D, Bucs D, Ravens D.” It is insane nonetheless. I’m of the belief that this Pats D (at this point) absolutely has to be considered with the “all-time” greats. Anyone denying that is just because they hate the Pats. I despise them. I would cheer for Russia against them. However, you cannot be rational and deny their dominance.
