  1. I am, and always have been, of the belief that you shouldn’t play your stars in preseason. I’d BARELY play any starters (if at all). Preseason is to be endured. Let’s hope that we get out healthy.
  2. 100% agree!! The only other guy for consideration would be Elam. He has the ability to have a bunch of picks if he won the job.
  3. Andy Isabella is a blue collar guy. He works hard. Isabella is a high IQ guy. He’s tough. He is quicker than fast. Isabella is sneaky athletic. He brings his hard hat and lunch pail to work everyday. Isabella is the kind of scrappy, high motor gamer that the Bills have been lacking since Beasley went to the Giants. He has heart and the intangibles that this team needs. Isabella is a gritty winner that’s willing to get his hands dirty. He has heart and passion. Isabella will outwork the other 52!! James Cook is the best breakout candidate. We need to stop overreacting the the preseason. Harty is an explosive playmaker that has made plays in the NFL. He’s a big play waiting to happen. Harty is what we wanted McKenzie to be. Relax
  4. I’ll throw another random name out there: Jameis. They have Carr and Taysom. I think he could be another option. The Saints think highly of him but maybe one of those DL and/or a late round pick could convince them to part with him? There are some options.
  5. At first glance, I though Van Demark was the worst player on the field. I didn’t rewatch and was there so maybe my perception is off. He played earlier than I expected but it appeared that he didn’t belong. I’m in agreement on everyone else. I’d add Tim Settle and Hamlin to the positive list. Settle made some plays.
  6. This ^^^ The 12th Man isn’t even ours. We pay a licensing fee to Texas A&M. That’s stupid. Bills Mafia is original and organic. That belongs on the Wall over 12th Man. While we are on the note of “original” let’s not do “Jump Around” before the 4th Quarter. They tried that yesterday at the preseason game. I don’t know if it was because it was kid’s day or they were beta testing it or what. That is not our thing. That belongs to Wisconsin. Let’s build our own traditions.
  7. Those guys cost more than Murray (Fournette too). If you asked Beane, “would you rather Zeke or Murray at the same price” the answer would be Zeke. He’s lost a step but still the superior back. He just had/has a higher price tag. As we are into camp their prices potentially drop. I do agree though that Murray makes the team at this point. Before the Hines injury he was likely headed for our practice squad. Now he likely makes the team (unless one of those other guys wants to join a contender on the cheap). Murray is a guy that has been cut recently and on a practice squad as recently as last year. I just can’t put a guy from the Saints practice squad as a lock on this team.
  8. Fair point on Howard (although he had almost $2m less guaranteed than Harty). Harty also is the ONLY player on the roster with his skill set (now that Hines is hurt). That makes him even safer. Howard was brought here to backup Knox, block some and play a little 12 personnel. Harty was brought here to make big plays. There is/was 1.5 WR slots open heading to camp. Diggs, Davis and Harty were 100% in. Sherfield was probably 98% in. Shakir is the 1/2 and he was probably like 80% to make the team. If he was a disaster he COULD have been cut or traded. He hasn’t had a great camp but almost certainly will make the roster. That leaves 1 spot for: Shorter, Shavers, Isabella, etc… The RB was a different situation. Cook and Harris were locks. Gilliam is very likely. Hines was also close to a lock pre-injury. Murray was the Duke Johnson or Mike Tolbert “veteran insurance.” He probably wasn’t making the team before the Hines injury. He still is not a lock though. He has a redundant skill set with Harris, who is ahead of him on the depth chart. It sounds like Murray is having a pretty good camp so he probably does make it. They COULD though turn their attention to Zeke, Dalvin Cook, Kareem Hunt, etc… in which case Murray is out.
  9. Great thought!! I didn’t think about the “young threat” being a bad idea. Get it done!! Mills Mafia!! One other layer to add is if he did show out in that 4 week window, you’d have an elite trade chip. It makes so much sense.
  10. Don’t you have Sherfield as a lock? I think that they are both locks but if only one of the two were to make the team it is Harty. Contracts say a lot about who is a lock vs. who is competing for a spot. Latavius Murray was (and maybe still is) competing for a spot. Deonte Harty is playing meaningful snaps. That was determined long before SJF.
  11. He has $5.25M guaranteed. He is the ONLY guy on the roster with that skill set (especially with Hines out). He is the definition of a lock. It literally costs $1M more to cut him than to keep him.
  12. If you don’t have Harty as a LOCK, you’re wrong. His spot is safer than about 1/2 of the guys you have as locks.
  13. This is, and has been, a concern of mine. Both guys stink. Please don’t give me the, “if Josh Allen goes out we are screwed anyways” nonsense. If he, or any QB misses an extended period of time, the team is done. This is about a 4 week injury. That’s how you have to look at it. If Josh misses a month, “can these guys keep the ship afloat?” With the division improving the Bills would likely need to be AT LEAST 2-2 in that 4 game stretch to survive. I do not believe in either of those 2 scrubs. When your SB window is open, you SHOULD have one of the best backup QBs in the league. I FIRMLY believe that. Trubisky was the perfect example of a guy that could maintain for a month if needed. I wanted Brissett this off-season (he played great football last year). I would have also accepted a late round pick for Davis Mills. It is a massive mistake, imo, to have these 2 behind Josh. Let’s hope that it doesn’t matter. I’d hate to look back at this year and say, “if we only could have won that Pats game that Josh missed…”
  14. Sent There are 2 more (plus parking) left if anyone wants them
  15. I have 4 tickets for the scrimmage tonight if anyone wants them. I’d prefer to give 2 and 2 so more people can go. I know that it’s last minute but we just decided to stay home. The tickets are in the club and food and drinks are included (don’t think alcohol is though). You probably get a little gift as well. The first 2 responses can each get a pair. Just post here and shoot me a DM and I’ll email them over.
  16. I was SURE that he was going to be a star coming out of Alabama. 🤷🏻‍♂️
  17. Worse idea: 1) Trade Gabe Davis in training camp 2) Trade Mario Williams for John Skelton
  18. Why are we doing this? The Bills have the 2nd best odds to win the Super Bowl. They’re not trading their number 2 WR in training camp 😂😂. This is the dumb 💩that had me taking a long break from this place. It went from a brilliant community talking Bills football to threads like this 😂😂. Let’s just be better; it isn’t a high bar.
  19. The same Indianapolis Colts that traded a 1st & 3rd for Carson Wentz?
  20. I liked him better than Zack Moss coming out 🤷🏻‍♂️. That’s not saying much as neither is any good. Hopefully a fresh start gives him a chance to be a depth back.
  21. That wouldn’t be a surprise would it? That has always been the plan. The surprise would be no PSLs.
  22. It’s a fair question and I agree with you. The Bills are more likely to be in the Super Bowl than to miss the playoffs. People have gone WAY too far on the Bills after a terrible playoff performance. The reality is that they won 8 in a row to that point while not playing great. They faced adversity at a level that no team had ever faced. They improved in the off-season. They lost 3 games by a total of 8 points. If they could have properly executed a kneel down vs. Minnesota they were 14-2 with home field throughout. They had the biggest point differential per game in the NFL. The schedule is tougher and others have improved as well. I still expect the Bills to win the division 12-5(ish) and be much better in the playoffs. They didn’t play with that same swagger or sense of urgency last year. I expect that to return and they are an improved team. I’m betting an adjusted spread week 1 as the Jets are overrated and the Bills underrated. I’m laying double digits.
  23. Can’t argue with any of this. One thing to add is a quick shoutout to @Virgil. His mock draft threads remain some of the best on TBD. It is a lot of work but they are fun and interesting.
  24. When Travis Henry left for the Titans he had to sell his TV to a scout to afford the move.
