Wouldn't bother me to see them draft two QB's. Its hard for me to decide on which two, or know who'll be available but it would minimize the "bust" potential at the position. We need a guy that is at least as good as Fitz (hopefully a lot better) right out of the chute. jb

You could suggest Tom Brady on this forum. They'd all say late round project at best on this chat board. They'd spend all day looking for mud on Brady. They'd eventually find one game. They'd say "I told ya so". They'd all say the Bills front office knows less than them. They'd suggest drafting someone....that they'd later say sucks cuz he threw a pic and the front office knows nothing. Then they'd say fire everybody. Cut all the players. Its funny as hell when ya come right down to it. OP could be right on with this idea. Or not. I for one like suggestions like his. I was not aware of the kid he mentions. He doesn't look too bad to me at all, albeit his read of defenses does appear weak in the video but hey that can be fixed in some cases. jb

I'm with OP.. Our receivers are not very good. Everything gets blamed on Fitz on this silly board. Fitz aint the problem.....not totally. Who's throwing to Stevie ? Yeah...Fitz. Stevie has respectable stats and he is a just above average receiver. A # 2 on most teams. Give the Harvard grad someone to throw to, that runs the right route and Fitz will be just fine till we find our long term solution. Doing what the OP says gives the opposing Dee a reason to respect our passing game. Something we lack......and a better opportunity for our running game to rip it up, eat clock and win football games. There is some merit to this idea. IMHO. ps...none of us know sh*t about football. You guys are damn funny. And...correct !! I'm pretty sure there are 2 other females there though. Maybe even three ? Hard not to be proud of her though. She's carried a 3.6 - 3.9 gpa for the whole ride. She doesn't care much about football though which kinda sucks. Hell I'm embarrassed and humiliated I wasn't aware of this Herman Kid the OP put up here. Couldn't get her interested in attending a game. I went wrong somewhere. Thanks ! I agree. You'd hope they have a staffer or three researching some of these schools, if nothing else. Heck, they are so far under the radar screen maybe even they could grab a kid like this as an undrafted free agent ? Certainly worth a look as a low cost project I'd think...roster willing. If I recall correctly, Andre Reed was taken from one of these smaller schools. Kutztown state maybe ? Something like that I forget now but he was pretty darn good. Well, the coaches are WAY smarter than I'll ever be so if its a good idea they'll run with it...I hope ! LOL ! jb

Thank you ! Lets let free agency and the draft play out. Lets see where we're at in September before contemplating suicide. Making the playoffs would be great but I'd be pleased as hell just to see some improvement. Especially on the defensive side of the football. Either way it goes, this is gonna be an interesting year for the Bills. We've got a new coaching staff. Its all good. Lets see what these guys can do. jb

Maybe...just maybe Marrone has studied film and has come to the conclusion that these guys are a part of the problem with the passing game. Maybe he even thinks Fitz would be acceptable with the right guys to throw to. Ya just never know. jb

We could argue about these guys till we're blue in the fingers. As we've observed for many years as fans of this game, ya just never know who's gonna be good and who's gonna be a bust. Last year was a pretty rare year where Luck and RGIII were pretty sure things. Its pretty much a crap shoot at the QB position this year. I'll let you guys know who I like next December !! LOL ! jb

Agree. Also, I've noticed there are several teams in need of a wide receiver. So if we pass in the 1st round on a WR the pickings might be slim later on. I wont be surprised if Buffalo selects a WR at # 8. There are some good ones out there. Guys that can potentially make an impact right off the bat. Of course we need a QB to get the ball to him ! I really cant settle on a QB I really like this year. Even Geno. I've seen the kid thread needles into double coverage. I've seen him miss wide open receivers. I just dont know what to think at the QB position at this point. I'll route hard for whomever they start next year. Astro, thanks for the work. Good stuff there. Thats a nice piece of work you've done here. Statistics have been known to lie though. And...stats don't take into account the system a youngster was in and the system a head coach wants to run and the youngsters perceived ability to run that system. Thanks for taking the time to do this. It is an interesting post fer sher but only God (and Marrone et al) know what they are looking for and whatever that is "should" play largest in whom they take at QB, if anyone. jb

This thread is a monument of just how weak our receiving corp is. Yes, I like David Nelson, but this news really isn't that big a deal IMO. I am guessing they have a plan at the position and David doesn't fit in. We'll be OK. jb

Yea I get it. We never one a super bowl. We went to four in a row. Lost em all. BUT....we won a whole bunch of big games getting to every one of em and I'll hang my hat on that till the day I die. And............ no team will ever go to four in a row again. And............SB 25 (i think) against the Giants we were clearly the better team. PERIOD !! jb
