  1. True...you can make contact within 5 yards, but you cant (practically) tackle an intended receiver while the ball is en route. S'all good bro. Don't like the outcome, but by golly that was one helluva football game right there. jb
  2. OMG. Atlanta got jobbed on that 4th down. Receiver got mugged......and they didnt call it. Its a damn shame either team has to lose a game like this. One of the best games I've seen in quite a while.
  3. Definitely blew that call. Routin fer the birds but......that was clearly incomplete.
  4. Donte is on the wrong end of a 55 gallon drum ass-whippin. He's gettin schooled. BUT....turnovers may well be the deciding factor here. Just a great game. If you dont like this game, you can't refer to yourself as a fan of American Football. This is GREAT. jb
  5. And the field goal is.........DOINK !! NO GOOD !!
  6. This is a heavy weight bout. One of the best games I've watched all season. One of those games where its a shame there has to be a loser. So far anyway................... jb
  7. These guys are experts on what happened 5 minutes ago. But...Julio has come up big in this playoff run by the birds. I like the kid. Ryan is showing me something as well. Atlanta's sell job is starting to take hold with me. I accused them of being a fraud all season long. Crow. jb
  8. This game right here is living up to the hype. I suspect you won't see Alex. Unless Collin gets hurt. Hope he doesn't, even though I'm routin fer the Birds. jb
  9. 993. You are a good man, Hammer. Hope to buy you a beer one day. Many thanks. jb
  10. With our luck he'll go to New England and turn into the next Brady. LOL !!
  11. If Fitz were to restructure I'd rather keep him rather than TJ. I think he'd be a decent mentor for a young QB. If he doesn't restructure I reckon he'll be out of Buffalo. But we'll see. jb
  12. Bad timing. Could be a distraction for the niners. http://www.mercuryne...-crabtree-being SAN FRANCISCO -- San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree is being investigated in connection with a sexual assault, San Francisco police said Friday. Crabtree was questioned in connection with the alleged incident, reported to have occurred in the early morning hours Sunday in an unnamed San Francisco hotel, police said in a news release. Crabtree caught two touchdown passes in the 49ers' playoff victory over the Green Bay Packers on Saturday night. Police said Crabtree has been interviewed with his lawyer present and has cooperated in the investigation. Crabtree has not been detained or arrested and has agreed to make himself available to investigators in the future, police said. ............................................... jb
  13. Its a total crap shoot. I'll rout for whoever they pick, or acquire. jb
  14. Agree. Except for one thing. Seems Fitz used to throw long pretty darn well. Anyone remember the Stevie drop in the end zone against the Steelers a couple years back? That was a helluva throw to win the game. Stevie dropped it. Not sure what the hell happened to Fitz. He had a reasonably good long ball a few years back, and he got rid of the ball QUICK. Yea, I'm also wondering if he's suffered from paralysis by analysis. Over-coached ? Just let the kid play. I hope he re-structures. I'd like to see him stick around, perhaps as a # 2. He could also be a decent mentor for a young QB, and a decent back-up. Guys got a lot of experience. Likely a better QB today than anyone the Bills will draft, if they even decide to draft a QB. jb
  15. This was the lead off story on Fox News O'Reilly Factor tonight. They interviewed ESPN's Jim Gray. I dunno man, there are some big holes in Manti's defense. We'll have to see how this plays out, and what he says. It is going to cost him money regardless with the bad publicity. He is already reportedly losing endorsement opportunities. I hope the kid is clean, but I just dont know if he is. Also, Notre Dame may well be damaged because of this. Ultimately if there is a GM that feels he can help their team he will get drafted. Probably not till the 2nd or 3rd round though. I hope the Bills pass on him with the #8 pick and not because of the controversy. I'm not certain he's worthy of a #8. We'll be watching. EDIT: Forgot to mention Gray said one of his teammates came forward and said Manti was playing this thing up. Not good. jb
  16. He introduced himself to Robert Craft at practice. Craft said: "Yea, we took you in the 6th" Brady said: Yup, and thats the best decision you've ever made for this organization. I suppose that could be a lengthy caption ! God I hate the Patriots .......but this has got to be one of the better "little guy that could" stories of all time in Sports. jb
  17. I just caught the last half hour or so of this by accident. Super interesting indeed. If you guys get the chance to see this....you gotta do it. EDIT: After watching this, I dont even really care who the Bills draft. It was a show case for just how much of a crap-shoot it is drafting a QB in the NFL. Nobody wanted Brady...not even the Patriots which is why they took him so late. 1st QB taken that year was Geno Marcazzi....by Bill Walsh / Mariucci. WHIFF ! Pretty much all no-names picked before Brady with the exception of Mark Bulger. jb
  18. Thanks for putting that up. I second the "holy crap" comment. The kid can tackle. Has a helluva burst on whoever has the ball. Listed at a 4.5 40 but his game speed may be higher. Looking forward to watching him in the pre-season next year. jb
  19. Appears he wasn't drafted last year and signed as a free agent with KC. No stats , apparently got little or no playing time. Hey its worth a shot. I wish him all the best. Good college career. jb
