  1. He is a much better player than the usual nega-trons on this chat board will give him credit for. He needs to protect the football better. Yes. Thats coachable. Other than that he looks to me like he has potential. Oh hell yea I like Thad a lot as our back-up. DC Toms comment above as funny as it is actually has some truth to it. Russel Wilson is surrounded by a MUCH better cast of characters than Thad, EJ or Jeff. Who knows what Russel would do if he were our guy. I dont think he'd be as successful here as he has been there so far. We dont have the supporting cast....YET. Frankly I think at this point of their careers, Thad gives us as good (if not better) chances than EJ of placing loss # 2 on Miami Sunday. Go Bills.
  2. Very true, but I'm not one of em. I hate the Pats as much as anyone because of how they've owned us. BUT...The playoffs to me are much more interesting with Brady / Bellichick in the mix.
  3. I guess I'd put the percentage at about 50-60%. At this stage of their careers I cant honestly say thats much higher than I'd put Thad Lewis. If there is any positive to this I'd say we may have learned we have a pretty solid back-up QB. Important. And for you guys early on saying EJ was a project? Cant disagree, but why would you draft a project in the 1st round? Seems kind of crazy. No?
  4. Could be. Could be. Yea maybe EJ got thrown into the fire too soon. It just kills me to see Frank Reich coaching the QB's in San Diego. Man I'd love it if he were EJ's QB coach ! I recall way back when Jim Kelly saying that he owed much of his success to Frank Reich. He said Frank used to point out things defensively that Jim never saw and it helped him tremendously. A good QB coach might be useful for EJ.
  5. Absolutely does have talent. When he took that shot to the head in pre-season they were saying his career may be over from cumulative concussions. We'll see what happens but it wouldn't bother me in the least if he showed up at training camp. If healthy he's by far the best QB on the roster...which admittedly is not saying a lot. Thad Lewis may be a good option too given our situation. EJ may have an average to good game on occasion but I just don't see him amounting to much in this league.
  6. Heck I predicted 9-7 this year. I'll NEVER put down the Kool-Aid. I dont know how !
  7. Agree. This team needs to learn how to win. Hate like hell to use the cliche "winning culture" but we need that in our staff / team. GO BILLS. I'll be hootin and hollerin like any other Sunday. LOL !
  8. We can cut em and take an 8 mil cap hit, or keep em and pay him 5.x mil. No brainer. He's a Bill. Although...we dont have a QB to get him the ball so there's that too....to complicate matters.
  9. Many thanks John. Heck I had no idea about his ailment. Very good read right there. Again, many thanks for keeping us informed.
  10. Odd that Shanny wants to save him now yet continued playing him in that playoff game last year after the poor kids leg fell off. If anything, Shanny should have been fired before that game even ended. He may well be remembered as the coach that killed RGIII's career. Quite the implosion down there.
  11. Now thats just plain funny right there !
  12. All Marrone needs is some cleats. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/10111105/san-francisco-49ers-now-4-0-jim-harbaugh-wears-cleats
  13. If they address the QB position, I'm thinking Cousins might be worth a gander if available. QB competition would be healthy next year.
  14. With a handle like bananathumb he just has to know what he's talking about. Hire him tomorrow at 7:30. And Fire everyone else in the organization. He's figured the whole thing out as you can see. Bananathumb for president. This site is just so bad.
  15. To make matters worse we will have to endure multiple "cut everybody" and "lose games for a draft pick" threads. God I am so bummed.
  16. Who do you guys figure they'll play if Kyle Williams is unable to go ? EDIT: Hey Dan, the NFL.com preview you posted is the week 11 game vs. the Jets. Just a heads up, and thanks again for starting the thread.
  17. Totally boring game !!
  18. I believe this is true, although the Seahawks actually won their division at 7-9 back in 2011. Whatever the case I just hope we can beat the Falcons so we still have a glimmer of hope going forward.
  19. .....and Frank Reich as the QB coach.
  20. Can they play left guard ?
  21. The Jets are 5-6. We're 4-7. So there's that too.
  22. Lets face it. You cant have a name like...oh...John Smith and expect to be able to play the game of football. Its all about names. Remember the Steelers of the 70's ? Lambert, Ham, Mean Joe Greene, Franco, etc. Those guys were good. A few years later you had Bubby (Brister) throwing to Weegie (Thompson). You just cant expect to win football games with names like that........and they didn't very often. Keep the names coming. Superbowl baby !!
  23. Jets Ravens on NBC, Panthers Dolphins on fox. Not sure about 4:00. And that is according to the channel guide on directtv, which has been known to be incorrect.
  24. I'm all good with whomever buys the team as long as they keep it in Buffalo. Man, I really hate having this cloud hanging over our franchise. And...if "We are the Champions" I'd even be OK with Queen buying the darn thing.
