Jets or Pats* on TNF - can't decide

I dont get it either. Hell, at work its all they talk about. On the computer for hours on end. To each his own I guess. Hats off to the NFL though. They came up with a way to get a lot of non football fans to watch games. Marketing ingenuity. I'll stick with my fantasy water polo. LOL !!

As the OP said, front 7 is legit. Kuekle is amazing. His ability to read the QB is uncanny. I saw Star have a few good plays in the pre-season too. I think he's going to be a fantastic player. If you ignore the QB and HC's, frankly I think Carolina is possibly a better team than NE. From a personnel standpoint. Its really pretty close actually but yes, I dont have a lot of confidence in Rivera. I'm not sold on Cam either. Great ability but he seems to lack some poise and confidence at times. Should be a good game. OP, I hope your Panthers play a GREAT game....in a losing cause ! LOL ! Please...NO INJURIES on EITHER team. EDIT: If I'm reading the link right it looks like Carolina is a 5 point favorite at the moment. http://www.vegasinsider.com/nfl/odds/las-vegas/

Bills have 5th toughest schedule to start season
jaybee replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You should hate it because what you say is absolutely correct. Maybe these media types are lazy? Who knows, but almost all of them make their predictions based on last year. Useless to me. Additionally they will say a team is going to be way better because they signed a certain player in the off season. As though the chemistry is going to be identical to his last team and his performance will be the same. Not realistic. The good teams dont necessarily have a heavy dose of stars, they have chemistry among their team mates and coaches. I think the New England Patriots are a pretty good example. -
Can the Bills name Tuel the starter...
jaybee replied to dollars 2 donuts's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Mallet would end up starting for NE and the joke would be on us as he smokes our secondary for 400+ LOL !! -
Don't disagree with any of that. I'm just saying that his path forward has become limited, thats all.

Kurt Warner went thru this very thing and ended up in a grocery store. He got an offer from an Arena league team. He realized it was his only option after being cut a time or two from training camps. Please...no, I'm not comparing his ability to Kurt Warner. As I see it Tebow really only has two options left. Option 1 would be to try out for the CFL as a QB which I believe the Montreal franchise owns his rights up there. Option 2 would be to try and become the 2nd best H back and the 2nd best TE on a roster. Maybe even chip in at special teams. Maybe even have a wildcat package to sprinkle in occasionally. Be an emergency QB. The kid is a good strong athlete and could possibly contribute in that versatility role. The NFL is pretty much a numbers game and having him on a roster as a QB...at this point in time is not the best use of a roster spot. He needs to be open to contributing in other areas than QB to make a roster spot worth it. Whatever the case, I wish him well.

Hopefully when you reach the 5th grade your English teacher will tell you to stay away from football forums, because its become fairly evident you are rather challenged at stating an opinion that is reasonable.

CJ Spiller Feature in the Buffalo News
jaybee replied to uncle flap's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Let me throw the word Idiot out there to support your claim. You seem to have forgotten it.....no problem. ANY so-called fan of this team that says negative things like that about CJ is a dope. He is the face of our franchise. He puts us on the NFL map. He has more class than entire teams. He is the real deal and I am damn proud to be routing for a kid like that. On my own team no less. This forum is really loaded with delusional fans that enjoy bitching about what isnt right....AND even bitching about what IS right...Like CJ Spiller. -
The Bills have a very Inexperienced Roster
jaybee replied to Dan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
O-Line=good. QB=unknown, possibly very good RB's=very good TE=pretty good WR's=pretty good OC=unknown Defensively Front 3/4=pretty darn good LB's=average but I think improved over last year Defensive secondary=Pretty Bad DC=pretty good The team has some talent, albeit young but if they can coach these guys I think we can compete. With the loss of Gilmore though, I think this is a much bigger issue than folks realize. Pettine's initial schemes count on Gilmore being in there. We'll see how Coach Pettine responds to this "adversity". Our secondary is a major major concern IMHO. Only way we have a shot against NE is time of possession=won, and pressure galore on Brady if at all possible. -
You have to wonder about Sirius NFL radio
jaybee replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wow ! That right there is pretty bad. Uhh...Really bad. -
Yup. I think part of it is just human nature. Wanting to see a "cinderella story". Routing for the underdog so to speak. The media to some extent has been playing it up as a Cinderella story as well. If Jeff does start I think the affection will die off fairly quickly. Obviously I hope I'm wrong on that. Other than inconsistent play in the pre-season he really hasn't shown all that much though. And...the poster here that keeps saying Jeff's not afraid to go down field..........unlike EJ . I'm pretty sure thats the OC calling the shots, not the QB. ps.....I'm thinking the line will drop 2 1/2 if EJ is announced as the starter. If its much more than that it may even end up being a no line game (if Marrone keeps up the tap-dancing) but I doubt that'll happen.

Poll: Should the "Redskins" name be changed?

testing..1..2..3. Laptop issues here. Mods kill the post.

Ya know, I'm thinking the loss of Gilmore is as big of a deal as any..including the QB situation. Pettine will have to change up his scheme with this loss. I'm with you Eball, I really dont know what to expect at this point but I do believe Brady will probably have a pretty productive day. I think we'll need a little luck here to get a win against NE. Maybe a good ST play...or a defensive pick 6 or some event that lifts the team and carries them to an upset over the Pats. I hope we at least have the appearance of an NFL football team !!

They deleted all of my posts but I was the lone ranger looking at Thad. Only this bored would think Leinart would all of a sudden be good. You all killed Kolb, you all cheered Leinart. You are all delusional. And as usual, you all are totally wrong which is why this bored loses credibility in my eyes daily. You people even think EJ is the 2nd coming of Unitas. Honestly hope you all are correct. BUT...I am very worried about this pick. Seriously hope I'm wrong and I mean that. EJ is a very likable kid. I predict year one he throws more pics than TD's. I'm also afraid he's not gonna be healthy a whole lot. If that happens he'll get a pass, unlike Kolb who all of the Hess attendants on this site have given us their expertise on. You dopes will never realize it but losing Kolb is the reason we'll win 5 games this year. We had a shot.
-
Cant argue with history. He, like Kolb has suffered a lot of injuries though, and been behind better QB's for most of his career. I'm more intrigued with Thad. Thad brings some athleticism to the table and sounds like a helluva nice kid. I'll route for both of these guys but I'm more intrigued with Thad than I am Matt. Either way, most importantly lets hope no one on either team gets injured tonight. And...lets hope EJ and Kolb get healthy again for all the right reasons, one of which is football. If we have to lose game #1 regular season....so be it. NO MORE INJURIES damnit. Injuries (for any team) ruin it for us avid fans of the game.

and that from the grand-son of a sheep farmer.
-
I believe you've nailed it. Although I wouldn't be surprised if Jeff Tuel plays a series or two before that. I'm routing for Tuel of course since he's on my team but man, he is just so raw. Not sure why really, but I'm kind of intrigued by this Thad kid. He interviews well at least. LOL ! He's hungry, reasonably quick release, pretty athletic, throws well on the run...in college anyway. Hope he gets a few reps tomorrow.
-
Sure you have. Of course you have. Pics or it didn't happen. For a so-called farmer, you sure have a lot of time on your hands. To lie.

Online picture of what purports to be the Bills leaked playbook

Post of the month right there.....by far! Thanks for that it was much needed !!! -
Everyone needs to relax. Seriously. Read why
jaybee replied to Harryhood280's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agree with all of that. . Although there is a "chance" EJ could start week one. Would make me very happy if he did. Currently Jeff Tuel is preparing as starter, but if EJ can start taking reps early next week I think they'll go with him against New England. Marrone has basically hinted at this. -
The Bills will sign another CB
jaybee replied to Mike in Syracuse's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives

Bills reportedly concerned Kolb's career over

I bet you wouldn't say that if it was your child. -
Bills reportedly concerned Kolb's career over
jaybee replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Its hard for me to not feel bad for this kid. I've been supporting him all along. If his health is at risk I hope he retires. Really is a shame. Just bad luck, really. Could have happened to anyone. Happened to Bo Jackson and MAMY others. . Its just sad man. Hate to see a kid have his dreams crushed by untimely and unlucky injuries. All the best to you, Kevin Kolb.
