Thank you. Someone here gets it. Thank you very much, Sir. -
Does anybody else think that Kolb could be a surprise cut
jaybee replied to bufffan031's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yup. Go ahead, Mr Marrone. Just keep on hating. Just keep hating Kolb. You sound like you have a tremendous amount of knowledge. Just keep on hating Bro. Boo as loud as you can. And then Boo again when your potential bust of a #1 round draft pick stinks up the place. EJ is made of glass and you know it. He gets hurt in a pre-season game? Must be he sucks, just like Kolb ey, Einstein ? Using your convoluted short bus logic. You are the first and definately not the last I'll be putting on the ignore list. So clueless on so many levels and a great fan of some team...not sure which team but it sure as hell aint Buffalo. Have mommy make you a glass of chocolate milk and STFU. You have nothing whatsoever intelligent to add to the situation. This site is a joke. Well, no. The fans of Buffalo are a joke. Pretty sure I'm done here. Good God. What a bunch of idiots. That right there is heady stuff. Brilliant. Simply brilliant. Must be EJ sucks ey meathead? Yea, he got hurt. Just like Kolb. You've said ad nauseum that Kolb sucks because he got hurt. Obviously EJ sucks too since he got hurt. Yea, I think I have this whole thing figured out. Bills fans, the smartest football fans on the planet. Yupper !! Loser. -

^This here^. All you Kolb haters. Relax. Without Kevin we have no one to go against New England. Unless EJ is healed by then its gonna be Kolb. He is a much bigger asset to this team than half of you realize. We need him. Bad. Love him or hate him you have to route for him. He is on our team and ....yes....we need him. Joke: EJ is made out of glass. Cut him now and cut your losses !! LOL ! I am OK with this because I think Kolb comes around and plays well enough to not lose. Remember folks, we have some weapons that Arizona didnt have. A much better offensive line. Relax. Kolb is gonna be OK. He'll get into his groove and play well enough to keep us in the hunt until EJ comes back. Frankly, if Kolb gets hurt we are screwed however. I'm not sold on Tuel. Hope I'm wrong but he'll hurt us bad in the regular season if push comes to shove. He'll be OK some day, but not just yet. -
Just keep him out of New England. Thats all I ask ! Agree with OP. I think putting him on the PS is a good idea assuming he struggles to get up to speed. I, like most of you guys think he has potential and would be worth the risk of keeping on the roster if at all possible. I sense its taking him longer to learn the offense than some of the others. Of course this is just speculation on my part.

Very true TaskerGhost. Bryan Scott said something that was interesting though and I'm paraphrasing but it was something to the effect of by playing well now it is laying a foundation of confidence in the team, even though its just pre-season. The strong performance, albeit against 2nd /3rd stringers in many cases still builds confidence and helps the team believe in itself. Who knows? But this is as interesting of a season, win or lose...that we will experience in quite some time. Really looking forward to it.

Love how these guys say..."hey lets cut everybody" and expect to have a better team. LOL !!

Glad we took EJ and not Smith look at this report
jaybee replied to Iowabillsfan4life's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My apologies if this has already been covered but this article here is not one I would be happy about if I were a jets fan. Also, I have to question Rex's decision to play this kid with a gimpy ankle. It may cause his throwing motion to get off kilter. Learn a bad habit(s) so to speak while favoring the ankle. http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/jets/2013/08/14/rex-ryan-geno-smith-brutal-practice-ankle-injury/2654565/?morestories=obinsite -
Surprisingly I havent heard a lot of banter about the TE situation. If Chandler and Smith can stay healthy I think we'll be OK. Chandler being a solid possession receiver and Lee being a good blocker. It'd be nice to have one that could do both VERY well to keep the defenses guessing but I guess you cant have everything !!! To answer your question, yea, I think TE end depth may be an issue for our team. Hope I'm wrong on that.

Other teams Training Camp injuries
jaybee replied to BillsWatch's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Just heard on WGR that the Eagles had another Linebacker go down with a torn ACL. (sorry..forgot the name) That'd be 4 Philidelphia Eagles down in training camp with a torn ACL. Pretty sad....and frustrating I'm sure for their fans. -
Any player can (and do) get injured. Chastising Kolb as "being made of glass" is silly. He's had bad luck as have other players that have been injured. Bo Jackson for instance. He wasnt too bad either. I've been saying right along, I'm as avid a Bills fan as there is and therefore I will route for all three QB' (and the rest of the team) to play great. Routing against a player on your team really brings into question how much of a fan a person is IMO. Kevin Kolb has yet to take a snap in a Bills uniform. Yet, many on this board say he's done nothing. Of course he hasn't, he hasnt played yet ! I am very glad to have him on our team. I trust Marrone knows what he is doing and part of the reason he took Kolb is because he is pretty familiar with the offensive game plan. Thats important, and if EJ turns out to play poorly which IS a very real possibility we have a serviceable back-up, assuming he doesn't start to begin with. Whatever the case it'll be a riot watching this board if Kolb plays lights out in the weeks ahead. The nay-sayers will play the injury card, and every card they can think of to justify their opinions as to why he should be cut when in fact they personally just dont like the guy. For whatever reason. Maybe they just dont like him for sport? Who knows? Let it play out fellas. He may end up being the best off-season acquisition on this team. I damn sure hope so. We will need him, not just for his play but for his veteran intangibles.

It was JUST said, thats why. Coach said exactly that in his post practice conference. About 10 minutes ago !!
-
Coach said Kolb was scheduled to start game 1 and EJ game 2. He swapped it due to Kolbs' injury. Beyond that, anyone's guess.

LOL !!

But they took Kolb and this board thinks he was wrong !! LOL ! Seriously though, I agree with OP. Very glad we didnt take Geno. Never liked his demeanor when the bullets flew hard in College. -
Totally agree with that. Routing for injuries is just wrong. Besides, if we are gonna give this team a run for its money, or better yet win that game, doing it with NE at full strength would just make it that much sweeter. God I hate the Patriots, but I wish them and all the athletes good health. Injuries suck. I want Buffalo to beat NE more than you can imagine...and at full strength !

How many WRs can a team carry?
jaybee replied to quinnearlysghost88's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
On the dark side of my mind I almost cringe at the depth we have at the WR position. Why you ask? Because I'm fairly certain we will be forced to let good players go. They will end up in NE. They will teach Bellicheat the playbook. They will burn us. Paranoia I suppose, -
Coby Fleener has a concussion. Ron Brooks hit?
jaybee replied to San Jose Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Definitely not a cheap turnover. Nice clean hit by Brooks as far as I could tell. I do hope Coby Fleener is OK though. I dont like seeing players get injured, especially a concussion. -
You did say : 2 of those may have very good comparable players in our recent history. the third we are really hoping does not, which kind of sounded like you wanted the rookies to do well and the veteran "hoping does not" to not do so well. I dont know if Kolb will stand out out or not. I haven't seen him take a snap yet in a Bills uniform in live action. I'll make my assessment when I see him play in Hacketts offense...in live action. He hasnt done that yet due to a totally freak injury that could have happened to anyone. I also dont know if EJ ot Tuel will stand out either. So far I like what I see in both of them however. We have a long way to go and frankly I'm pretty happy with the whole team....and its coaches so far.

If (as advertised) it's a fair fight, then Tuel is winning.
jaybee replied to alias's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thanks. Its posts like this that will always keep me coming back here. My thoughts exactly but I dont have the skill to put it into words like you have done here. -
Agree. At a minimum it appears likely that our first four draft picks will be strong contributors. There may well be others, even undrafted FA's that make a difference. I liked our draft as it unfolded and so far this season I like it even more.

NFL Network Rebroadcast of Minnesota at Bills
jaybee replied to richNjoisy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Keep in mind the Vikings game is a "kids day" game whereby they sell tickets to kids for $15. Tasker said Kids day games are usually a sell-out, even in the pre-season. Frankly I'd be surprised but it'd be nice if it did. -
Does anybody else think that Kolb could be a surprise cut
jaybee replied to bufffan031's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What is your basis for that statement? Provide a link. Or is that just another negative "I hate Kolb for no reason whatsoever" comment? It has become very obvious to me that you hate Kolb for no reason. You sound like a guy that really doesn't know very much about football. You'll call him out for 1, 2, maybe even 5 years and once he's gone you'll say..."told ya so". Let things play out, man ! Kolb may well end up being a very valuable addition to this franchise when its all said and done. jb -
