  1. I've actually had something on my mind for about 20 or 30 years....What was the main reason Sattlers at 998 Broadway closed? I haven't been able to sleep as I wonder about this each and every night.
  2. Actually if you look at the quote from ajzepp in my sig, he is pretty darn close to a solution!
  3. Yeah....I remember Henning. All people did was B word because he was ultra conservative and ran the goddam ball all the time!
  4. I'm crashing. Where's the party and screw the Crown Royal drinks, I want Crown SHOTS!!!
  5. The good news is, instead of trading away one of the 3 goalies the Sabres have, they just acquired another one... http://www.wgr550.com/sabres/fullstory.php?id=1143 Go figure?
  6. Let's see how much DB "enjoys" playing the Eagles this week.
  7. Do they make Tom Clements watch the films, while everybody in the room shouts "Why the F*** aren't we running the ball more" everytime he calls a pass. That to me would be a good teaching technique.
  8. I thought Crowell did okay for his first start. He was more noticable than Posey has been in three years. I know, I know Posey apologists...He does a great job dropping into pass coverage!
  9. I have not been impressed with Bennie Anderson to say the least. I know Preston has filled in at RG, how about giving him a shot at LG?
  10. ...and who makes the decision to bring in other team's trash??
  11. I am very anxious to see how the Bills D fares against some very good offenses as the season progresses...New England twice, Carolina, Kansas City, Denver, San Diego, Cincinnati & Oakland.
  12. But is he still under contract until 2007? I wasn't posting it so much for his future salaries, just the number of years he is still under contract for.
  13. Won't get any disagreement here. Once again, just because you have a bunch of "NAME PLAYERS" that look great on paper, doesn't mean they are going to be great on the field.
  14. You cut the part of my quote out that said "hopefully" the pass blocking will get better.
  15. That's where I thought JP would bring an extra weapon to the offense, by using his feet to scramble around and make a play versus our former QB who had no other option but to be sacked when the pass protection broke down.
  16. Actually, he is under contract through 2007 per nflpa.org... 1996 475430.00 1997 594287.00 1998 713144.00 1999 350000.00 2000 950828.00 2001 500000.00 2002 1550000.00 2003 3100000.00 2004 4245000.00 2005 1500000.00 2006 6089000.00 2007 7250000.00
  17. The big difference here is that Clements is being completely ignorant of the fact that the QB under center is a 2nd year QB, with three games under his belt and clearly struggling with the passing game.
  18. I didn't say anything about winning or losing. My comment was on JP's play as the Bills starting QB through he first quarter of this season.. Go back and re-read my post.
  19. Who knows what is going on behind closed doors at OBD, but this certainly is a believable scenario. Add to it a coach with an offensive background, whose head is spinning with gadget plays and in general a passing attack and all of a sudden you find yourself enarored with the skill positions.
  20. The Collins era has been erased from my memory and is a by-product of a past administration. I'm more concerned with the current QB and the current front office and coaching staff.
  21. I've said it before...just because the D has a bunch of name players on it(Spikes, Fletcher, Milloy, Vincent, Clements, Adams, Schobel, etc...) doesn't mean they are great. This is a slightly below average to slightly above average unit, depending on who they are playing(they like to beat up on the sisters of the poor), that has to rely on blitzing WAY TOO MUCH. Without a pass rush the Bills defense is doomed and without blitzing, there is a rarely a pass rush.
  22. Was I glad the Bills turned the page on DB and gave the reigns to JP?...absolutely. Did I think that JP was going to have his share of ups and downs?...yes, but I didn't expect it to be this bad. The biggest disappointment to date from my point of view is that I believed even in his first few games, that JP would bring an EXCITING brand of football to the table. If anything, these first four weeks, have been as much torture as most games of the DB era. I thought that with a year under his belt, that JP would be much more polished than what he has shown. One thing that the announcers mentioned yesterday, that I agree 100% with, is that JP has to realize that the defenders he was able to run away from in college, are a lot faster in the pros. Also, hopefully the overthrows and the pass blocking will get better as the season goes by. Clements isn't helping at all. It's one thing to be enamored with a passing game when you have an experienced vet QB, but it's like he is completely oblivious to the fact that there is a QB under center with a whole 3 games under his belt. I also don't like the setup of Clements on the sidelines and Wyche in the booth. I think it should be just the opposite. Wyche down on the field to review the previous series with Losman and Clement up in the booth, where he has a better perspective of the game. PS On a personal note, Clements has that smug look on his face that makes you want to punch him.
  23. I believe Verne used to do NFL games...and based on the perception here that all media and announcers SUCK, I'm sure he got grilled here.
  24. Based on his current salary, my guess is that this will be EM's last year as a Bill. Even if you believe that EM is still at the top of his game(which is questionable), having a QB who is going to struggle for a year or two, makes Moulds presence kind of a moot point.
