  1. It was a serious question. Thanks for the insights.
  2. Being in Ohio and considering that 3 or 4 schools in the MAC are from Ohio, I have a question for you. How are the universities and the towns they are located in, more attractive(outside of recent won-loss records) to a football player than UB?
  3. I already saw the article you linked. I'm not saying he won't be a good player, I'm just questioning how big of an impact he will have in his first game. If he goes off for 5 catches for 120 yards and a TD, great for the Bills and great for him.
  4. I've said this before. DC's aren't losing sleep at night wondering if an under-sized WR picked in the 2nd round is going to show up in uniform for his FIRST NFL game. Just a hunch, but I think he may have to prove something on the field first.
  5. I've seen it reported in the Buffalo News that the UB football program is "underfunded", but I've never seen the numbers to back this up. It would be nice if the writer who covers UB for the News did an article on this. Real simple....obtain the football budgets from each MAC school and let the public decide if UB is "underfunded" and by how much .
  6. Shake his hand? I think if I ever came across OJ, I wouldn't acknowledge him at all. Then again, maybe I'd make some snide remark about, "How is the search for the real killer going?".
  7. This is a product of their tiered pricing system where the game last night was classified as a "gold" game with the cheapest ticket being $40. I can see where they can call the Toronto games "gold" games(they will all sell out no matter what the price), but Pittsburgh on a Monday night in the middle of football season was obviously a mistake on the Sabres part. PS I saw the game on OLN and even though he was a ways to go in terms of playing in his own end, Vanek is going to be something special. He could have easily had 3 goals last night, if it wasn't for Fleury. Sometimes it seems like the puck just follows him around.
  8. I guess since the Flutie/Johnson debate still crops up from time to time, it is to be expected that DB, his performances as a Cowboy and whether he should still be a Bill, will be rehashed from time to time. To each their own.
  9. Could somebody please answer me this....Why does anyone feel the need to still defend Bledsoe? So what if he gets bashed here at TBD? He's a goddam Cowboy and the Cowboys suck...every last one of them including their coach and owner. If anyone feels that strongly about, why not go wash his balls over at a Cowboy message board.
  10. Wow what a surprise...another column on what an idiot Sullivan is. He's a freakin' columnist and is supposed to write a piece 3 or 4 times a week stating his opinion. What a bore it would be if he ran all his columns through OBD & TBD for approval. Why not just add to the TBD TOS that "Sully's opinions are stupid" and be done with it.
  11. The MENSA membership also entitles him to talk endlessly about baseball even though 95% of his listening public could care less except for playoff time. The Bulldog is the less polished of the two, but Joe fan can relate to him a lot better than some condescending guy with a photographic memory for stats.
  12. His performance was definitely closer to "bad" than it was to "above average" as Peter(not to be confused with Pete ) stated.
  13. It has become embarrassing for the Jags to have all the empty seats when they have a competitive team. Like was stated earlier, the Jags can't pull the tarps on and off, on a per game basis. They are on for at least the 2005 season. This is one city, where in hindsight, should not have been awarded a franchise.
  14. Above average?? Take a look at the stats. It actually looks a lot like the games he had last year. 11 for 26, 212 yards passing, 1 TD, 1 INT, 4 Sacks & 13 points scored against one of the worst defenses in the league.
  15. Let's see where Bledsoe stands at the end of the season. It was an impressive outing against the best of the NFC(Philly), but he had a lot of impressive games during his first half season as a Bill. That being said, letting DB go was still the right move to make. He wasn't taking this team to the promised land, no if's and or buts! PS How was Bledsoe's performance last week against one of the leagues charity cases aka Oakland?
  16. The referees and the members of their crews are graded after each and every game. You can bet that the officials that grade out the poorest at the end of each year are either replaced and/or "put on notice". PS What does the length of the game have to do with anything? Who cares if Ed Hoculi is involved in the longest game each week?
  17. Miami had 18 penalties called against them! What did the Bills have to "overcome" in terms of the officiating??
  18. Why are you still here? Isn't there a Bledsoe worship board in Dallas somewhere.
  19. How many people out there don't realize that in addition to the "New Topic" button, that there is also one titled "Reply". I know the Hot Pockets generation doesn't have time to read anybody elses threads, but give it a try. In addition to the Hot Pockets problem, we also have the LAMP'ers who believe that nobody will read their posts unless they are in the form of a new thread. PS As long as I am on a rant..."mystery" subject lines SUCK. Not to single one person out, but a perfect example is the person who starting a thread recently, with the subject of "question...". I'm done now. Back to the 100,000 threads started on JP v. KH. Have a nice day.
  20. The show is called "Top 5 reasons you can't blame...[fill in the blank]". A good example would be "Top 5 reasons you can't blame Scott Norwood for the SB 25 loss". Give it a try when you get a chance. Two I saw last night were... Top 5 reasons you can't blame the Falcons for trading Brett Favre and Top 5 reasons you can't blame Art Modell for moving the Browns http://espn.go.com/classic/s/Top_Five_Reasons.html
  21. Count me in, if you can get it done. I was at that game and would love to see it again...good quality, average quality, bad quality, I don't care.
  22. I'll be more than a little disappointed if JP is benched for the Miami game. Christ...you worked with him all off-season, you sit him down during two of the first four games and then you bench him?
  23. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_ylt=ApDY...ov=ap&type=lgns KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) -- Police sprayed Mace on Kansas City Chiefs tight ends coach Jason Verduzco before Sunday's loss to the Eagles after he became combative when he wasn't allowed to turn into the stadium entrance he said he normally uses....
