McD and Daboll hate each other probably 🤣

Huh? Did you mean to quote something else? I was suggesting the same thing -
Who will be the first coach fired?

Brandon Staley back in the lead for the favorite? -
Only played 27% of snaps. Very weird. Especially with Kingley in for the last series. Maybe worries about his run support
-
I like Josh Palmer. Guy always seems to make plays

Did anyone see these snap counts? Oliver in on 87% of snaps?! Wow. Diggs outsnaps Davis for the first time since I can remember. Harty a measley 16%…waste. Edwards in on 13% of snaps…that’s 8 plays with 6 OL.

I think McD wants flexibility at the DT spots. You saw a few times yesterday the tackles would adjust to the strength of the defense, instead of switching spots. I think this is beneficial if you have the personnel but if they continue to do that, teams can take advantage getting a more favorable look with motions and shifts, forcing guys like Oliver to the nose. Oliver played 87% of the snaps yesterday. That is by far the most I can remember of any DT underneath mcdermott. Wow.

Maybe McD pissed at the cheap shots? Daboll holding a grudge for 13 seconds? -
That 3rd and long scramble by Herbs is exactly the one I want to see Allen start taking again from time to time. Herbert is good. He is not on Allen’s level

Maybe @PatsFanNH can offer some perspective here into some of this personnel. I admittedly (thank god) have stopped obsessing over who the patriots are trotting out. LT - Trent Brown….solid player all around LG - Cole Strange…RD1 player many thought was a reach…has been often injured. Any info on this guy? C - David Andrews…has been a good player for years LG - Mike Onwenu…6th round pick, has had some struggles RT- Vederian Lowe…6th round pick replacing Rieff (IR) Pass Catchers - Kendric Bourne (28-307-2) and Hunter Henry (18-183-2) are their top threats. Mike IGetsicki (fake TE), Juju smith-shuster (injured?) and Devante Parker contribute some. Damario Douglas the speedster rookie seems to get some burn and seems to be the most dangerous option (10-143). RBs - the hammers…Rhamondre and Elliot…are averaging 3.0 and 3.7 YPC respectively. I fully expect to hold this team in check. More on the defensive side of the ball to come.

WanDale Robinson was a guy that I came away impressed with. His short area quickness and ability to get vertical with the ball reminded me of Beasley in his prime. Posted a 8-62 line….which is what I think Dorsey was hoping he could get from Kincaid. A sure handed, security blanket who can move the chains and get the tough yards when needed.

Is that former Buffalo Bill great Deane Marlow?

Gabe Davis vs. Expected #2 WR Capabilities
EmotionallyUnstable replied to PBF81's topic in The Stadium Wall
The best way to have a great #2 WR is to have two #1 WRs…. Really the only way to do this in the modern era is to pay for one and draft another on a cost controlled, rookie deal. There are some exceptions (Jax, Bucs, etc) but those teams don’t pay a franchise QB. When you have money tied up like us, you can’t afford more than a #1 WR, so you have to get one on the cheap. That being said, Gabe is a nice player for us. He won’t be here next year. Can’t afford paying a #2, even if he’s earned it. If he isn’t WR1 caliber, you have to let him go and replace with a cheaper, higher ceiling option. They should have already started this process, but they have went a different route. I fully expect it this draft -
Again: the future HOFer gets the benefit of the doubt from me. He is (hopefully) not to his true state. While he heals, he should be playing a rotational role behind Floyd AJE and Groot. That contract is, and was always, going to be a killer unless we make it to the promised land. 32 mil guaranteed still after this season…you could designate a post June 1 cut and spread it out down the line…Beane has already stretched the cap down the line about as far as he can go. They’re going to have to eat most of it. Youre much more likely to see it AFTER next season (15 mil dead remaining) which they could spread out and wouldn’t be such a burden in future years.

Surprised no one has brought up the balance of the work load at RB snaps. From the opening bell, it was Murray > Cook. Have to wonder if this had something to do with pass pro. Surprised he got so much work…12 carries to cooks 14…most of which came in the first half. What’s up with that? P.S. I love Latavius Murray (he’s a freak bulldozer) but that doesn’t mean I want him being a feature back in this offense

Why was Kingsly Jonathan in on the 4th down throw to waller ending up as DPI? It was right after a TO. No epinessa or Rousseau or Floyd?

Thing is: being under center isn’t just for sneaking the fb. It forces gap integrity and limits exactly what happened to us getting sliced through into the back field -

It was literally the only passing option on the play. Knox and Diggs were entirely running clear outs/picks -

Only Dorsey runs a pass play where your WR2 Gabe Davis is the primary blocker against a DE
