Why? If he isn’t 100%, he didn’t need to come off of PUP. Nothing against Von, as you’ll see I’m with patience here. This is more about his long term recovery. I personally don’t think game reps are going to benefit him any more than rest and practice might have. If that’s the case he shouldn’t be playing Classic Von This is key. He doesn’t need to be an all-pro right now. We just need him to be in January. Still think they rushed this thing along. Again classic wide 9. Really puts the tackle in a pinch, forcing them to gain depth/width with their kick. Opens up the inside mode and get a little more umph with your hands due to the running start.

That’s the kind of play from Allen that just can’t happen. Totally unnecessary. Doesn’t matter if a guy was off sides. You don’t need it. 2nd and 1 to 3rd and forever. We will laugh it off now because they’re in control and he’s been great, but those are the kinds of plays that have plagued this team. He has to be smarter in situational ball.

Looking for Allen to be elite. Here is my recipe: When Allen is pressured, which he absolutely will be tonight, he HAS to be wiser about when to take the hot route and when to be Superman. I am not advocating for more or less of one of these options, but instead for him to be more heady of down and distance, circumstances, yard line, game flow, etc. Those clamoring for Allen to run more, I’m with you. Thise arguing that Allen needs to take the easy throws and be surgical with quick hitters. I’m with you, too! The most elite version of Allen would be that which can hurt teams in multiple facets depending on the situation

I agree it’s the right thing to do. That being said it can’t ALWAYS be the right thing to do. For all the data that might support deferring, I have to imagine specific data exists that would support certain teams, or certain scenarios (weather) would point to otherwise. I love getting the second half kick, because it really gives you an opportunity to adjust what you’ve seen in-game at the half and come out swinging. if you can weather the storm of the opening script in the first half after deferring, you undoubtedly get the upper hand in the 2nd.

I understand the metric but maybe you have a more wholesome comprehension of how this could weigh into what we’ve seen vs. why we are losing? Many non-statheads would say, “what does is matter if we lose?” I am not one of those guys, as I do think metrics play SOME roll in helping us see a more complete picture. That being said, I do wonder if some of the circumstances the Bills are finding themselves in (turnovers, penalties, etc) and the overcompensation of our team to adjust to those can partial explain why we have such a good composite EPA but are still losing games.

To me, having a tough defense and having a difficult time against a defense are two different things. I think the Tampa D is legitimately a solid team, where as the Giants D isn’t actually a good defense, but we had trouble.

Hopefully not hospital food! Our son (baby #2) was born earlier this morning. Hoping to be home by kickoff. We have a ton of frozen dishes (casseroles, soups, chili’s, etc) that we made in preparation.
