  1. Ya, he hits hard, but while I was watching he didn't tackle much. Most of the time he was trying to take the guys down with a shoulder hit instead of wrapping up and the guys bounced off of it. He did nail that wr (and his own guy), although helmet to helmet.
  2. The 2009 Buffalo Bills: You'll wish Heidi would interrupt The 2009 Buffalo Bills: Get to know your family again! The 2009 Buffalo Bills: Hoping for a bailout
  3. Can we get both Reid and McNabb?
  4. Count me in, let's see what he's got.
  5. I'd probably switch to the 49ers. I think Singeltary has got them playing better, and Frank Gore plays hard every down. Plus the defense with Patrick Willis.....just a monster.
  6. No kidding, my teams' just stink. The Giants have good starting pitching and then throw 120 million at Zito, meanwhile they can't hit anything out of the infield. Sabean will continue to "do due diligence" in looking at bats that can help. I never realized due diligence meant dumpster diving. The Clippers: sign Baron Davis thinking that that will keep Elton Brand in LA, nope. Two whole wins for the season. At least they got rid of Elgin. The Buffalo teams......no need to say anything there. It all comes down to smart moves and spending money by the front offices. Where and how did I go SO wrong!
  7. This game just made me sick. Hadn't the coaches watched 49er games? Shaun Hill will pick you apart if you don't have pressure on him. Put pressure on him, and he'll start throwing YOU the ball. The 49ers have been averaging giving up 28 points per game. The Bills had 2 drives of 15 plays with no points! 1st and 10 at the 25, late in the game, and you get no points. Losman throws a terrible 5 yard pass on 4th and 12 to end any hope. I sure know how to choose the most frustrating pro sports teams to root for. You'd think that sooner or later the Bills, SF Giants, Sabres, or Clippers would do SOMETHING good!
  8. Wow, go figure, the 49ers placed Jonas Jennings on IR today. That was not a good signing for them.
  9. I think I've got you all: Bills, SF Giants, Sabres, and.........LA Clippers!!!! Season's change, but the results are usually the same!
  10. Yep, the Bills are most likely to see many more naked bootlegs until they stop it. If Corner had blasted Quinn instead of whiffing..I still can't believe that play. Trent needs more work, but I like the way he takes control. They should let him open up a bit. Even another dump off to Lynch would have been better than just running in to the line when they were trying to go ahead late. I had a BAD feeling about a kick from that distance.
  11. While listening to the game last night, I thought Jaws made some great points. Lynch needing to stop the dancing and go for the 4 yards; Trent needing to be coached better in his throws, etc. As a former player, why hasn't Jaws been in any coaching discussions? Is he making too much money without the worries now?
  12. We still play pick-up flag games every Sunday morning. You are right, there are some good hits and blocks even for flag. I've been out for 6 weeks with a broken foot and heel. I didn't think it was that bad when it happened, so I continued to play for a good hour and a half. When I took the cleat off when we were done, I knew it was bad.
  13. No helmets at all would even be better! Only a few broken noses and chipped teeth when we used to play on weekends. Rugby doesn't have helmets right?
  14. SF may be more trouble than given credit for. If Hill gets time to throw, he produces. Nate & Takeo will fire up the defense.
  15. I don't see Cowher coming to Buffalo, and it's sad that so many know DJ isn't going away with time left on his contract. Wade's issues with Ralph and being fired/resigned demonstrate this beyond a reasonable doubt. Ralph would just need to get in contact with Al Davis. Now how do you fire for "cause"?
  16. I have Bills stuff all over my cubicle and truck and kept getting congratulated early on on how good the Bills were. I've responded that the Bills are barely winning games over Oakland & St. Louis, and have had a weak schedule early on. They are ok, but I didn't think they deserved the accolades they were getting. Now they are showing how good they really are, maybe a bit over a .500 team. Injuries have hurt, but I think their bad play goes beyond that excuse. Until we get lines that can dominate both sides of the ball, we'll continue to just coast along. All that being said, for 35 years I've been a Bills fan, and NOTHING will change that.
  17. I had it too. I heard and felt a pop in the bottom of my foot while playing football. It hurt like h@ll for weeks. Surgery was on the table.
  18. I heard that it was the Chargers that did it so they could sleep in. Nice Pitts/Cinci game we were stuck with!
  19. I think we used to go there in the late 60's while living in Fredonia. The old Brady Bunch station wagon had a stain on top of the ceiling area in the back, from a cone that got too close as we were jumping in. It seems like the favorite for us was a pink ice cream, maybe peppermint or cinnamon or something like that. Oh, the good ole days.
  20. If the Bills were in need of a RB, Thomas Clayton would be a very good choice. The San Francisco 49ers made their final cuts Saturday, waiving 21 players and placing one player on injured reserve to reach the 53-man roster limit. The 49ers waived first-year players RB Thomas Clayton
  21. I'd have to say an autographed (Peace to you, OJ) picture of OJ. Got it in the mail from the Bills when I was just a kid. Had a great poster of him in my room too. Took a lot of grief for that in CA.
  22. *%^#$ Can't make it to the draft, so I won't sign up. 12-2 Little League team game at 5:30PDT.
  23. I'd join. Let me know the details.
  24. Al Cowlings OJ Simpson Travis Henry
  25. Wow, some good responses. Let me add to a few: 1) Regarding commercials: stop the double commercials on a score/kickoff. Get the commercials in after the score, and then go to the offensive play after the kickoff, not another commercial!!! 2) Regarding salary: Set a maximum salary per position. Bonuses are then won when the team wins. 3) Allow the networks to show more than one game at a time, even if the local team is playing. You know how bad it is to have to watch the Raiders or 49ers on a Sunday afternoon without another game to switch too? 4) No moving of franchises if the team is selling out their stadium! 5) A fumble is a fumble. If the ball carrier doesn't have the ball when the play is ruled dead, it's a fumble. 6) Celebrating a standard tackle, especially after a large gain, should be penalized. 7) I like the laser used for out of bounds and for first downs. Too much chance for error with the sticks. 8) The net for field goals is ONLY lifted between the goal posts. Give the endzone fans that much more chance to get a ball, and laser up from the top of the posts for calling the field goals correctly.
