  1. If the 49ers can do what they are doing, then why not the Bills? Here's what their 2010 draft looked like: Anthony Davis, Mike Iupati (both starting OL now), Taylor Mays (whoops, missed on this one), Navorro Bowman (great third round pick)starting lb. That year they also brought in as a free agent LeGarrette Blount (what if they would have kept him?). Then this year they added Aldon Smith & Kendall Hunter (Kaepernick is still a ?). They re-signed Alex Smith to the fans dismay until Harbaugh got to him. It's not out of the question to turn it around with a few key picks.
  2. I wouldn't be surprised if either the 49ers or Raiders make an offer. The 49ers have practically clinched their division already, and have lost Josh Morgan. The team doesn't have the same make-up that they did when he was first there. Harbaugh, ya I could see him picking up an outspoken player. The Raiders have a lot of young receivers, I can't remember, did Palmer and T.O. get along???
  3. I agree, it was way too much to give up for Palmer, but they were desperate. As anyone could see yesterday, Boller is not the answer. They tried Garrard, but he was hurt. Some of his throws were off, but I'm not sure they were off because of him or the receivers. On a couple of outs, Palmer threw to the first down marker, but the receiver took the out deeper. On one interception the receiver stopped his in route and the ball went right to the Chiefs guy. He's rusty, but he'll improve. Neither of the West divisions are strong, so the Raiders still have a shot.
  4. A 3X for me please. I will have to have it shipped to Northern CA. Just let me know the amount and an address & I'll send it in.
  5. I thought you were talking about why the 49ers brought back Alex Smith.
  6. So sorry to hear this Scott, our prayers are with your family.
  7. Wow, it was the late 60's when I became a fan. Lived in Fredonia at the time. The parents moved us out to CA in 1970. Back then, Monday night football half time highlights were the only time I got to see the Bills on tv. I used to ask my grandmother in Fredonia to mail me Bills articles from the newspaper. Had to rely on The Sporting News, Pro Football Weekly, and the Bills Digest after that. ESPN, the internet, The Redzone, etc. have made it so much easier to keep up with what is going on. TBD is the BEST, I visit this site every day to get caught up.
  8. Exactly, and then what is their move next year? All three first rounders for the #1 pick, Andrew Luck.
  9. I just want the Bills to get players that make a difference on and off the field. I don't watch enough college football to know who projects well to the NFL. I don't think I've stressed about the draft, but I sure enjoy watching it and reading about it afterwards. Yes, there's the moments of nervousness, especially when there is a player you think would be good that you have one more teams' pick to get through (Patrick Willis a few years back). I'll be interested in the draft, but will leave the stress to: my wife's cancer treatments; going to my best friends' mom's funeral tomorrow; understanding my elderly, mostly disabled by knee operations, parents' desire to move back to Western NY from California; increased prices with decreased income; and the job losses that could wreak havoc in our office.
  10. Would it? it would better since winning the SB but there are hundred option there too OH YA, MUCH better! Bills winning Superbowl, SF Giants winning World Series, who cares what happens until a few years down the line!
  11. I know, I'm getting a headache reading all of this stuff and trying to determine who is best. It would be much easier if we were picking 32nd!
  12. Sorry, due to the air quality, Leif burning will be prohibited today.
  13. It truly is a fight. My wife just completed her 8 sessions of chemo and will be having surgery in one week to have a mastectomy. Hers is the more aggressive inflamatory breast cancer. We're hoping that she caught it in time. Inflamatory is different because it doesn't necessarily have a lump associated with it. Redness, warmth, swelling, and an orange like texture to the skin are some of the symptoms. It is very important to catch it early, and not wait thinking it's an infection. By the time the symptoms above are found, it's already stage 3. It's very aggressive and can turn to stage 4 and metastasize very quickly. Please make sure all of the women in your life are aware of these symptoms. Thank you!
  14. 2nd is obvious: Anyone playing the Fins, Pats or Jets 3rd & 4th would be the 49ers & Pack
  15. Another band of misfits just won the World Series. There's just something about pulling together as a TEAM.
  16. So far the 49er fans are much too worried about their own team, and the SF Giants are still making news. For those that do say anything, its mostly out of pity.
  17. The problem with him going to SF is that they are already complaining about Alex Smith looking at his first option, then immediately going to his check down rb.
  18. I'm going to the grocery store tonight, I'll see if I see any potential in the baggers. Oh wait, I'm in CA, the Bills don't want to go there again!
  19. Maybe he thought he could fix him, but finally gave up.
  20. And they will not trade or release him if Alex Smith continues to play like he did today.
  21. Wait...who do you think the Bills will beat?
  22. I used to have that bumper sticker on my truck here in Northern California...."You're in Bills Country". Probably confused a lot of 49er fans!
  23. Hmmm...Patrick Willis for Lynch sounds good. Seriously though, with Gore, Robinson & Dixon, the 49ers will probably just pick up someone cut later.
