Honestly, the Bills F.O. has been SO horrible at bringing on O-line free agents.

Are you kidding me? I would trade Whitner away for a legit. starting O-lineman every day of the week and twice on Sunday. He doesn't seem suited for either safety position.

Looking at the experience of each player currently on the O-line depth chart. That averages out to approx. 1 + 1/2 years experience at each position. I think the interior of the line may be OK by the end of the season, but what about on the ends? Could this be the least experienced O-line in the NFL? Even if Edwards starts the season, he will go down to injury again, and that will be enough for # 2 or # 3 to step in. Didn't Ryan Fitzpatrick outplay Edwards down the stretch last year?

Why are you so adamant about defending Modrak? You make it sound like he does nothing other than receive reports from scouts and then send them across the hall or something.

Good points, however we are on a chat board. If I were a coach in my 1st year with team, I'd be looking for an underachieving, 1st round pick, DT entering his 5th season with 1 career start to cut the first chance I get. Send a message and set the tone: get going or get out. Good thing I'm not an NFL coach!

Having started 2 and another player who never took an NFL snap, all the injuries and players playing new positions, the line was really a mess. They must be improved over last year, and I'm interested to see how much.

This may be one of the most SteveStojan'd posts I've read.

1. I would say NFL scouts and front office types probably concurred that it was a weak draft class for QBs, as only 2 were taken in 1st round, only 1 taken in top 20. Tebow was a huge reach in my opinion. 2. The Bills don't/haven't draft well in years, while San Diego has drafted 2 Pro Bowl QB in recent years. They don't seem to have the personnel in front office to evaluate pro level QBs. IMHO.

I agree. Just to contrast and compare, D.J. appeared to have no problem with McLuvin and even said he supported his decision. Can you imagine if that was a Parcells' team how that little sequence of events would have gone? Just saying.

How many teams did Jauron et. al. defeat that had winning records over 4 years? The last I counted there were like 3?

I guess. One thing I do know, Jauron is never again going to even SEE the inside of a draft war room ever again. I hope he works out at OLB. I don't even hold out hope for Kelsay.

Kelsay must be confusing actual achievement, with his HUGE contract. I just don't see him playing OLB. On the rare occasion when he has made it it into the backfield, I've seen him look like he was on roller skates trying to change direction. Hope I'm wrong.

Jauron sucked so bad, along with the O, having 3 OCs in 4 years.

Maybe someone will go down in training camp and they can get a 2nd in the 2011 draft?
