  1. Is anyone aware of a site or statistic which counts how many down linemen a team (Bills) used during games. The concensus seems to be that they switched D fronts often, more toward the middle or end of season. I would like to see what the 3 down and 4 down numbers were as the season went on how much of the time they actually spent in the different formations. P.S. Bills F.O., please draft a beast D lineman. Maybe two.
  2. Someone needs to get a clue and just tell Ralph, no more damn coach input until they start winning games period. You let some coaches get involved with personnel and you a cluster mess like you got with Jauron. That goes ditto for bring in a coach and letting him select another coach.
  3. Nice article, but it was about the Bills QB assessment.
  4. Right. The F.O. gets so carried away with "scheme" players, and end up getting guys that can't even get on the field not matter what scheme is being used. Besides, as another poster pointed out, the Bills use a hybrid anyhow and need all the help they can get.
  5. Q: Why do the Bills take a high 2nd round DT pick if they know he won't be getting playing time because he is behind your best D-lineman? It almost sounds like the Bills weren't sure what front ( 3-4 or 4-3 ) they would be playing this year. I'm still not sure what from they are playing.
  6. It isn't, but it IS unrealistic for PTR to be objective about personnel decisions and the draft.
  7. OY!
  8. LOL, and it's WORKING!
  9. It was much more interesting to watch the team with a QB who wasn't afraid to actually THROW the ball, however the real offensive production from 2009 to 2010 was about the same. 2009 ranked 30 in yards / game. 2010 ranked 25 in yards / game 2009 ranked 28 in poinst / game. 2010 ranked 28 in points / game.
  10. I seem to remember Bledsoe being pretty bad. Except when throwing to "the King".
  11. I like Florence and think he is one of the best players on the team. They must keep him IMO.
  12. I understand some the excuses, and explanations, personnel etc., however how do you explain giving up 169.6 rushing yards/game? Worst in the NFL, by quite a lot. You're tellimg me an NFL O.C. with NFL players can't stop the run even when they know it's comimg? And they didn't run the 3-4 front exclusively.
  13. Right. I hope after drafting 2 players in top 3 last year, and probably the same this year, the D improves. They did seem to improve for a short time after switching/adjusting to 4-3, not sure what happened after that.
  14. What if, IF, Luck is there at # 3 and Buffalo doesn't take him?
  15. Only the Bills/Ralph would have the 3rd overall pick in the draft, this year being "year of the QB", and take one.
  16. Doesn't it seem odd that the lack of talent on D became so much more pronounced AFTER Edwards took over?
  17. IMO, Chan really messed up in the first place by: 1. Not hiring an actual O.C., and calling the plays himself, which compounds the following: 2. Bringing in an inexperienced selection for D.C. 3. Forcing the switch to a system no body could coach/play. 4. Not sticking with a D scheme.
  18. + 1. LOL. It's really pretty funny, but you are going to get blasted! I think you're correct on everything. I do like Kyle Williams though possibly as LDE. Give me two fat slob DTs and the D line is good.
  19. Sorry, I stand corrected. For some reason I thought they were like 15th against the run They were not. Apologies. Bills D re: scoring went from # 16 in 2009 to # 27 in 2010.
  20. Sorry, I stand corrected. For some reason I thought they were like 15th against the run They were not.
  21. There is no viable reason. The run D was just as bad at the end of the season as the beginning, the worst in the league, not even close. You can bet Chan and Buddy are/will be trying to come with one however. The old "continuity" excuse come to mind? The Bills actually had a decent run D last year, and Edwards managed to turn that into the worst run D in the NFL.
  22. It states he's going to take an exit physical. Not sure what that means, but he took a physical before signing originally and they couldn't detect any issue. Then was IR'd with two hours of stepping on practice field?
  23. Trying to determine what people actually think about the signing. Health is a major concern.
  24. I guess. They're risking $2.5 Mil. They spent a lot more than that on Kelsay, so risk is a moot point. Someone should do a poll and ask what the chances are he: 1. Makes it through camp. 2. Sees the field. 3. Contributes at all. 4. Starts. 5. Has more sacks than say Kelsay. 6. Makes Pro Bowl. http://www.nfl.com/players/shawnemerriman/profile?id=MER568200
