+ 1 They've missed the playoffs 1 year I think since Brady and Belachick. They even went to the playoffs the 1 year with Cassel when Brady injured. Bills haven't sniffed the playoffs in 15? Hopefully they get a look this year if they can get anything out of the rent-a-vet approach.

What you say does make a lot of sense, however when the Jets had those good years, they had a number of 1st round draft picks on that O line as I recall. They may have had one of the best O lines in the league? Buffalo's O line was horrible and they just traded for a running back? I really hope somebody on that staff staff knows something about the O line that nobody else seems to, and it better not just be R. Incog.

Stupid trade IMO. How much can you get out of RB entering his 7th season? Kiko was a star in the making. Doug Whaley seems to like trading.... If this doesn't pan out, Houston, we have a problem.....

I do agree with that. Problem is and has been, Buffalo simply wouldn't take a shot with Buddy here. Bills had not drafted a QB prior to EJ for six (6) years I think, and now are almost certainly going another two years into the hole with drafting another. This of course remains to be seen re: this years apparently depleted QB prospects.

How wrong can a GM be, drafting EJ so high, him showing no progress and then not even being a capable backup QB? On a team that doesn't even have a QB or backup QB? How seriously bad of a 1st round pick might this turn out to be?

They need warm bodies at QB going in camp, and right now they have basically 1, E.J. I don't think it's going to be a shock to see him not make it out of camp, but how much risk or cap hit issue would there be to keeping him. You CAN NOT have ANOTHER situation where you have basically no viable NFL QBs going into the season like two years ago with E.J, Tuel and the other guy I can't remember his name now.

I agree, however E.J. is the backup certainly.
