  1. I don’t care what Boyd says, he will always be a Buffalo hero for the Dalton/Boyd TD to break the playoff drought.
  2. It is actually financially impossible to do this in today’s NFL. If you look at the teams with an elite QB and two #1 WR’s, two of the three players in that trio are on rookie deals (cincy, Miami, Philly). The Chiefs realized this and that’s why they jettisoned Hill and kept Kelce as their number 1. I think the chiefs model is the right one— pay your franchise QB and number 1, and then fill in the rest with complimentary high-pick rookies and modest short-term free agents. If you don’t do that, you won’t have enough money to field a good line or good defense.
  3. I have been asking the same thing. Total radio silence.
  4. Agreed; getting a serviceable starting CB in the 7th round is highway robbery.
  5. I did forget about Bridgewater. In that last season with Fangio, the Broncos played better with him and played hard right to the end and did some good things, but it wasn’t enough. Re the in-game mismanagement, I think that is par for the course for most NFL coaches, IMO.
  6. Welp, McDaniels will be joining Patricia and Judge soon enough back home. I can’t believe how these former pats assistants all have failed spectacularly. I don’t think Bellichick has a single successful assistant from his coaching tree (I don’t count Vrabel, who never coached under him).
  7. They literally just had the exact same type of coach in Fangio— who did an excellent job. They had no QB, and that did him in. But i would argue that had they kept Fangio and given him even a serviceable QB (like a Mayfield or Trubisky), that was a playoff team. Instead, he got Drew Lock for three years!
  8. I hope so. But I think they will need some good live reps (not zoom reps) this week. Just hope the weather cooperates here.
  9. Are these guys even practicing this week? Sounds like no one can move in Buffalo still.
  10. Was just thinking back to the Bengals/Bills games in the past 20 years— those were absolute dog games. Times sure have changed!
  11. The one thing we really need to clean up is our special teams. Two straight abysmal games in a row. I would like to see us just kick some touchbacks (and Not try to cover), and eliminate the penalties on the returns.
  12. There is that great quote from Benjamin Disraeli— which applies here: “there are lies, damn lies, and statistics.”
  13. If weather cooperates, this will be an absolute shoot out. Expect both QBs to be totally dialed in.
  14. I enjoy his fiery spirit, and wish him well for many years as the QB of the Patriots, under the guidance of Matt Patricia and Joe Judge.
  15. I should Copy and paste the text thread I had with my Broncos fan buddy when they hired Hackett. It started basically with me saying: “hackett, is by far, one of the worst offensive coaches in bills history.”
  16. Missed the second half. What happened?
  17. I have seen that same Hill catch a bunch of times this year. That’s why the Bills can’t won’t play single high against them. Tua just needs to put it out within a 10-yard area and Hill is wide open.
  18. This is some real astute investigative journalism by Glazer. #Pulitzer?
  19. This is a really great take. Makes Allen and his play make more sense to me. Couldn’t even get mad about it. Going into the game, I knew Cheffers would be pulling stunts like this. He doesn’t know what holds look like and he uses bad shortcut cheats to call penalties, rather than seeing them with his own eyes.
  20. And that would be a perfectly acceptable Christmas present.
  21. Agreed. I hurt for Knox on that play. Just think about jumping two feet in the air and landing on your back on concrete. That had to just kill.
  22. In terms of the criticisms of guys like Gabe not running hard and McKenzie not getting separation, I watched singletary’s press conference. He said the field felt like you were running on concrete, with very little traction. That sort of explains the more tentative running out there by the WRs.
  23. totally agree. I am fine with a pick on a bad throw or good play by the defender. The bad decision picks though are painful to live with.
