For one year-and it turned into the Alex Van Pelt year-but he wasn't the guy who spent a first and a fourth on him.

He's more devious...

I listened to all three PC's as well Buf--your observations are pretty on target in my opinion. This is a new Mike Mularkey...you can tell he feels more comfortable in the role of Head Coach this year. Very rarely did he call out a player last year--he's not Parcells--but he is ratcheting up the pressure a bit..he thinks these guys are good but he knows there were a lot of shortcomings on Sunday and he isn't going to hide his, his staff's or the player's mistakes. Time will tell if his new style motivates or falls flat. It sounded from JP and Willis that MM didn't say anything to the media that he hadn't already told them on Monday and Tuesday. Willis has a little bit of punk in him..serious chip on his shoulder..just enough where it makes you think he will come out and kick some ass this week. Not sure I liked his answer about film study though--he basically said I run based on game day instinct not what I see in the film room--almost like scouting the opponent meant didly squat..maybe that was part of MM's conversation with him. JP is pissed at himself--you heard the security blanket that Wyche has drummed into his head with the young QB comment. You heard how JP really feels when he said--"this team is ready to win now--a young QB is no excuse." These are all excellent listens...if you have 15 minutes to spare.

we can blame a lot of TD but it was JB (God rest his soul) and Ralph that fell in love with Rob. TD fell in love with Drew watching warm-ups at the Ralph.... I know when you get to be older the years go very quickly especially when you are calculating revenue from ticket sales

There are some players that cause me every Sunday to say...I am really glad he is on our team...#36 is one of those....only because I know scenarios like this may become reality...

What do you know more about than anyone here?

It doesn't matter unless you are in the B.Harami98 posse....only then are you held to a standard of gridiron expertise. As you have seen, the OT board is probably more popular than the football board.. -
Mularkey mentioned this today during his post practice press conference. Said he could play with the cast padded. "That's Crumpler down on the play....he looks to be out cold"

Mike Tice is showing something in Minnesota as well...or maybe exposing something...

That is one scary satellite image....

Galveston and up the ship channel to Houston...if it goes 75 miles further north on the coast... 3 day cone I lived in the area around the Astrodome, south of the Med Center in Houston 20 years ago--back then a serious thunderstorm would cause street flooding....

Both are probably on heavy doses of penicillin

Given that today has been deemed Know it all Tuesday.....I know that we have some unfathomable expertise on this board....so--what is your claim to fame? On what subject matter are you the all-knowing, all seeing, Karnak the magnificent... I am a renowned expert at starting stupid threads on message boards...and getting overly emotional about my kids accomplishments...

Thank you for expanding my vocabulary..... would synonyms be ass-kisser, brown nose...etc...

Ken Whisenhunt former TE Coach is the Steeler OC. Stuck--you made me want to stop at a Starbuck's on the way home..yeah baby.. What's a toadie???? BTW--Do we call current VA Tech QB Marcus Vick--Baby Mexico now...or maybe New Mexico....

6 for 6 with 2 40 yarders to....MVP at the 1/8th pole--Rian Lindell....

The kid grew up in a heavy gang area and didn't really fit in with anyone. He went to his hometown school, but transfered to get away from getting babied by his family. He had no line to speak of his last two years at Tulane yet performed well. He is very resilient because of all this life experience. He played like horseshit today. If nothing else, listen to JP, he's a realist. He knows he sucked today. Pulling him and putting him back in isn't going to do sh-- to his confidence. He's not Ryan Leaf----he will find the one or two positive things he did..and build on them...so will his yoda-Sam Wyche. As to the goal line situation...running the ball and kicking it away would have been great--but at some point in time--JP is going to face that situation in the 4th quarter, down 2, 2 minutes left and we will have to pass..its probably the most difficult on-field situation a QB has to face...these are the reps that you can't create in practice--he needs to experience them on the field. I have no problem taking some risks if it quickens JP's development. Did anyone think we would go 16-0 with a first year starter at QB? Today was the first of many growing pains. The roller coaster has started--

Next week--drug suspension for too much NyQuil and too many Halls lozenges

Changing the team name to the Liberaces...only if we add sequins Ross Verba has been hired as road trip "fun" coordinator--destined to be 0 -8 on the road this season but lots of bikini and bubbly to drown the sorrows...

Remember the old dashboard special...leave 6 tickets on your dashboard with the window open at the grocery store and when you get back there will be 12 tickets... UB tickets are a dashboard special..

That's okay--they just wanted Charlie's first home game to be memorable.... come on boys..hold em....Hail Mary full of grace the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary mother of God pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death amen Oh and let the Bills win tomorrow to...

One other note for Theisman haters...he holds the ND record for passing yards in a game at 526...Brady Quinn is at 431 net yards right now....Get Joe out of the record book

NC State is not a bad football team, in fact they have one of the more highly regarded D's in the country. It was a really good game..Tech was fortunate to get out of Raleigh with a win. Little Mexico is amazing....very quick to tuck and run and some extraordinary shiftiness...he will be an excellent returner in the NFL... As for the Irish--there's no quit in Charlie's team....

Thanks Lori. Your usual high standard of research and posting raises even further. And to think--we had 20+ Straight games without a safety interception..Milloy and Troy; the President (of the NFL PA) and his Counsel...weakness into a strength..
