When the University of Texas at Austin used to have a basketball team...Blue Devils by 30....

Oh sh----guess what we are going to see on fourth and 1 this week...thanks for nothing They will secretly not list Moulds as inactive -- have him lay in wait in the Jim Kelly suite--then 4th quarter--down 2 points--last 2 minutes- 4th and 1-on the NE 10--Mularkey will run this play with Eric lining up as QB--handing the ball to #71 and rolling the other way on a circle route as primary receiver...its the element of surprise baby...
-
The meaning of taking care of Eric could be letting him go to a contender and letting the Bills gain a lot of cap room......after 10 years of football Purgatory...
-
This is the best indication yet that TD is a goner...wonder if Lenny is charging him for being his personal search firm....Can you say suck buddies???
-
yeah but when CTM is right he usually says it in one line not three self indulgent, nonsensical paragraphs....

I wouldn't be surprised at all if something like this happened PIA. When we got crosswise with my mom before my dad came home from work, my dad would arrive as the enforcer..most times he would come into my room, close the door..yell (with a wry smile on his face) and bang the desk a couple of times--I would give the obligatory squeal of pain....and we would both go on our merry way--knowing the world still made sense. Years later when we admitted this to mom -- she admitted most times her banishments and punishments were overreactions... Give me all the stuff about team discipline you want--Mularkey handled this poorly..the coach is supposed to be the best communicator on the team and the peacemaker when players and position coaches argue (which happens ALL the time)..Mularkey should have been the final enforcer in this case and instead he escalated it to a level that appears to be far above the worthiness of the situation. Ralph has to be wondering if Mularkey is a capable leader for this franchise. There is no question in mind that retaining Mularkey will not be a requirement of the new General Manager...

Tedy Bruschi's heart and brain....

God bless you for being right in your prediction. If only Ralph had been reading the board at the time, we all could have been spared this hurtful Old Whitey experience. You could have changed the world for us.......damn the Internet, damn Ralph Wilson for not being on this board, damn, damn, damn...

Kelsay Replaces Posey At OLB, Willis Traded

This may fit in somewhere around #7... Jerry Gray returns to active player status, joining club house lawyer Vincent, the real Lawyer, Coy Wire, Nate Clements as the savvy and intelligent secondary that can't cover anyone.... -
Your dad sounds like Sister Mary Battleaxe of Our Lady of Perpetual Kid Torture in NT...The nuns at school always took care of dad's dirty work for him in our family...he actually felt sorry for us some days...
-
One thing I left out -- he did say--Hopefully we will play better than we have....when referring to the last three games comment....
-
It was very brief Dean.. He said: 1) He met with Eric for about a half hour 2) He considers Eric a friend that has played for the team for 10 years 3) He heard Eric's side and MM's side 4) He feels like Solomon trying to divide the baby 5) Eric would not be ready to play on Sunday because of missing practice Wed and Thursday 6) His decision is to suspend him without pay for one game and then let Eric back on the team for the final three games. There were no questions allowed.
-
Well the Mularkey and Donahoe joke is ongoing.....but he said there was a camera crew waiting for him at the airport and he snuck away--he said they are probably still waiting for him...
-
One game suspension without pay.....and our owner has not lost his sense of humor..

The adopted home team--the Panthers...who I predict will represent the NFC in Detroit.... -
Simon hit it...for most families going out is having fun. Paper football, straw wrappers, peek a boo with the little ones are all part of that. Parents need to make smarter choices about where they go... For example--I know that a Chop House or Morton's or other fine dining establishment is not the place for my three year old terror. It would not be good for him--he hasn't learned how to control his temper or manage his boundless energy yet and I don't want to have to constantly discipline him...(by the way--my girls actually did fine at fine dining establishments during their early years). I was the same way at his age... My social commentary on this is a couple of things... 1) We didn't go out a lot when I was young--because we couldn't afford it....we didn't eat dinner together as often as I would like to think we did. My pop worked his ass off--to put food on the table and for our education...my mom worked to help. 2) Our values and our family life were a whole lot different..dad was in his mid teens to twenties during the depression--families still had generations living together--families struggled just to make ends meet--today we struggle to get the flat screen or the video ipod...are we less demanding of kids--maybe/maybe not--I know I am not--basic rules are treat others as you want to be treated and work hard at whatever you do. As I look back, our parents are the ones mostly who instilled the value of doing everything you can to provide a "better life" for your kids than you had--the "better life" part is a lot different today than it was 35 years ago... As to this specific sign in the Chicago restaurant...more power to him..not much different than a sign that says no shirt, no shoes no service...he's not discriminating on the basis race, gender, color, creed, sexual orientation, baldness, etc...just on unattentive parents...

Got it now....thanks CTM...TD deserves a raise and a promotion to supreme prince of the dark side.. -
You are really Vince McMahon -- aren't you Tigre??? No if you were Vince--the legends would be mixed into the regular brakcet--and 60 year old men would be beating the pants off of 20 year old studs--like that could really happen...

I think MM's track record with player interfaces in difficult situations has been okay...the Mike Williams situation in camp last year was handled as well as can be expected and it ended up being the best year of a disappointing career; while I was suspect of the JP benching--he has been a better QB since he was reinserted in the line-up. Look at the two players in the most current cases: 1) Sam Adams--has had to be kicked in the ass his entire career. He wants to be a gap shooter and the system requires him to be a run stopper. Maybe he and his agent should have thought about that three years ago--but I don't remember a lot of demand for him at that time. He is enormously talented but aging. Last year the benching led him to the pro bowl--this year--another year older--a tough year for the team..its looking a lot like a guy who doesn't fit in the future plans and this probably bothers him greatly....leading to more whining... 2) E Moulds-There is no one on this team that I respect more. He has been through Kelly, Collins, AVP, Flutie, RJ, Drew, Holcomb, Billy Jo Holbert, JP--9 QB's in 10 years..without a doubt this has hurt his stats--but not his earning potential. He is still performing at a high level but has lost some of the ability to separate and beat the double. He can take one of two paths--be the elder statesman and cede #1 status to the new generation of receivers on the Bills or force a cut and try to be a #1 somewhere else...right now he is in that transition and players do not normally handle that transition well...MM is basically taking a hardline because of what he has seen regarding Eric's effort or how he interprets Eric's effort. I think from MM's perspective--its a lot more damaging to the team to let someone get away with less than maximum output than to confront it. If he allows laziness on the field--it sends a stronger message of mediocrity than the negatives of confronting Eric. Bottom line: I think too much is being made regarding the impact these two situations could have on MM's future employment status. His employment status will be determined by the quality of the effort and the results of these next four games and the other 56 guys on the team could care little about 2 aging vets on the downside of their careers who are collecting millions but feel they are being shafted and putting out less than maximum effort because of it.

If TD was really the son of satan--where is our temptation?...I mean isn't the goal of the Son of Satan to turn us all to the dark side? If he was really the Son of Satan--TD should be delivering wins and championships to force us all to sell our souls for a Super Bowl..if he is really the Son of Satan he's doing a !@#$ing sh------- job.... -
I think we should set up a bracket....Sam has to get through Jerry Gray; Mularkey and Tom Clements in the coaches bracket; Russ Brandon and Donahoe in the team administration bracket; JP versus Eric in the player bracket. Donahoe/Brandon winner faces Adams/Gray Winner JP/Eric Winner faces Mularkey/Clements winner Prediction--Adams versus Mularkey for the belt... Jim Kelly, Darryl Talley as special guest referees... This might be more compelling than Sunday's game....definitely higher revenue potential...

Settle it like men..don't have an 87 year old tennis player mediate...spearing contest at high noon in the practice facility--loser leaves town and retires from their profession...either way it will do wonders for team morale...
-
Sherman The only Sherman I want associated with the Bills is the nerdy kid who used to hang out with Mr. Peabody....oh wait--I forgot--he's our head coach and TD is Mr. Peabody... Maybe TD is an idiot savant--they just forgot the savant part...
