I am sorry...I just can't believe it...I knew coming in today we were not a good football team...but Sage Frickin' Rosenfels shouldn't even have a job in the NFL. I saw a post comparing Sage Frickin' Rosenfels to Frank Reich..folks I knew Frank Reich, I saw him play and Sage Frickin' Rosenfels is no Frank Reich.... Oh well--four games left...and JP is becoming more and more fun to watch...there is absolutely no reason to get conservative now----let the kid sling...get some more on film of him throwing that beautiful deep ball of his..it will set a tone for next year.

About half the people on your list may be in resume building mode..that is strong motivation...
-
It might be a sage move to bring in Rosenfels.... I heard he looked good a couple of days in camp. He was stylishly dressed with hair nicely combed.
-
Okay--what offense put on our uniforms???....did the Colts travel plans get screwed up?
-
He does have a promising second career as a matador.....say what you want about Josh Reed, but the darn kid is a willing blocker... I read something once about a vision problem that was not correctable. This was supposedly impacting his ability to pick up the ball and causing drops. Here is something from footballguys.com that mentions it... Peerless is item #1 Price struggled to make an impact in Atlanta for a variety of reasons. He was not physical enough to be a true #1 WR, Vick often struggled with his accuracy as a passer, and there were reports that Price had vision problems which were affecting his play. Reuniting in Dallas could be a great fit for him as he's already had his best season with Bledsoe at QB, and players like Keyshawn Johnson and Jason Witten should draw most of the defensive attention so he won't have to face top CBs or many double teams. When he is given time, Bledsoe still throws one of the best deep balls in the league so Price and Terry Glenn should make inviting targets if the offensive line can hold up.

B-Dawgg 12--thank you for adding a shred of optimism to the board this evening. If it weren't for you and a couple of positive comments about JP's development, this board would be like the Michael Irvin fan web-site this evening...at least they are probably all getting high. I love your optimism--to you 3rd and 47 (to steal Bill Cosby's old routine) is just a challenge/an opportunity--or another chance to expose Nate Clements/Jeff Posey/Coy Wire (fill in the blank) if you are a Bills opponent..

I am starting to agree--we may stand a better chance of winning without MM... sorry Gray--had to do it

What channel is Extreme Team Makeover--Buffalo edition?
-
Yes--our toddler QB is starting to grow up...he possesses quite an arm (The laser beam outs, the touch on the pass to Reed in the 2nd Qtr)...as soon as the on the field brains catch up, we may have something here... He faced a relentless pass rush today--and will again next week...for that reason alone it may be too soon to take him out of diapers just yet..but real underwear is just around the corner...(can you tell what stage we are with our 3 year old)...

A big second of that motion from here....guts, resolve, smarts would also be on my list

How many more years until we reach the playoffs?

Nate Clements is up for player of the game
JoeF replied to Stl Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The waterboy showed more closing speed and displayed superior coverage skills. I don't know if anyone heard the Jim Kelly interview on WGR on Monday...Kelly said something like, "Nate picked a bad year to be asking for money. He has been horrible." Just last week I said pay Nate...call me stupid.... -
1) Give myself a raise 2) Hire a couple of ex-Panthers Cheerleaders as personal assistants 3) Make everyday "free wings and beer" for lunch day for the staff 4) Offer $20 Million a year and half of Ralph's art collection for Bill Belichick to coach the team 5) Make the same offer to Bill Polian to come back and replace me as GM 6) At the end of the day, demote myself to "Sr. Vice President of Hosting Parties" in Suites on game day (keeping my newly acquired staff) I know, a very busy day--but hey--you only get one chance.

MM has very little enjoyment from life right now Ramius....he probably relishes frustrating some folks by playing cloak and dagger with the QB position...lets let him have this little joy..... It is the holiday season--peace on earth, goodwill, all that crap...even for a heartless and gutless pro football team... Mularkey = Bob Cratchet (victim) TD = Ebeneezer Donahoe JP = Tiny Tim
-
Just listened to MM's press conference from today. He would not commit to naming a starter..its up on bb.com right now.

Don't insult my 6 year old daughther like that Frez....she's tough as nails...

Solomon = Nostradammit

Let me figure the proper way to phrase this... Mr. Donahoe, please choose one of the following. The team played so bad today because: 1) Bad plane food 2) The players had a bus to Tijuana trip similar to a Vikings cruise last night 3) JP's mom made everyone her version of Rettata for the pre-Game meal 4) The coaches installed the game plan for a bye week 5) Choose your own...

Who called for the spike on first and goal
JoeF replied to realtruelove's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It didn't really matter at that point where the Chargers got the ball did it..they could have scored from Los Angeles if that was their drive start....I actually called for the onside kick.. -
However, according to nfl.com the Steelers have a helluva kicker... 4-9-PIT 19 (5:13) J.Reed 83 yard field goal is GOOD, Center-G.Warren, Holder-C.Gardocki. Running backs typically have a short shelf life--Curtis Martin/Bettis being exceptions...but 4-7 years at peak is usually it...we should keep that in mind when extending Willis..also in Jamal's case--well lets just say hard living is not a good base for a long NFL career..

FFS--I agree in concept here...but the biggest thing keeping TD around for another year or two may not be TD's performance or even Ralph's evaluation but may be Ralph's advanced age. Bringing in a new staff would probably take 3 or 4 years of adjustment and Ralph may not have 3 or 4 years to wait to see if another GM can put together a personnel strategy and coaching staff that can lead this team to the Super Bowl. He's kind of stuck with TD and Mularkey as probably the last GM and coach of his ownership and so are we...You may say he should bring in someone to prepare the franchise for sale and increase its value--but my sense is the extra $50 or $100M in value that may create means nothing to Ralph (he will already net 20,000 times what he paid for the franchise fee ($25,000))--another shot at the Lombardi is what he wants and he may have convinced himself that status quo is the best way to get there. At the post season meeting in Palm Beach -- TD better have a plan that upgrades both lines through a mix of Free Agency and draft and revitalizes the defense and also begins to weed out some of the aging veterans without a drop in quality. If Ralph doesn't see that -- TD should be gone. Right now we may be looking at Posey, Adams and Big Mike getting the axe outright. Moulds, Milloy, Vincent or Fletcher (one year left on his deal--so extend at a cap friendly deal) being asked to take pay cuts/restructures or getting the axe at some point in the off-season. You have to retain Clements either through franchise or extension. You have a solid edge with McGee and Clements--you don't want to kill that--so many teams struggle with this. McGee signed an extension that still pays him like a #2 corner--you should pay Clements stopper money and move on. Bottom line, this may be a radically different team next year. One correction -- probably a keying error ---but TD's record sans the 3-13 year is 27-30... I am probably one of the few that is still a TD apologist. I really like the guy--but 27-30 is not acceptable..hopefully tomorrow starts a turnaround that leads to the division title and playoffs but I am not holding my breath.

I think we highlight Shelton and the fake QB sneak...and a healthy dose of the Right Tackle eligible, Right Tackle option pass, Right Tackle reverse...

Moving from Florida but where to go????
JoeF replied to Bills/Sabresfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Even though I live in Raleigh, I would concur with Asheville and Western North Carolina...Asheville is becoming a tech and bio tech hub as well. It really is the town I think that Richard Florida had in mind when he defined the creative class. I was out there 4 months ago and met with about 12 entrepreneurs. Each company that pitched had a viable idea and 6 that were less than a year old were cash flow positive. Ideas as diverse as the latest antenna technologies, a drug development app that can speed the process of development by 30-40% (This one is really taking off); and companies spurring up around data mining the information in NOAA's National Climatic Data Center (which basically houses the entire history of US and world (since late 1800's) Weather) located in Asheville are all sprouting up...in addition to the Biltmore empire, etc. Lots of opportunity. -
