  1. Dealing with the media and fans-really good, his approach is understated, matter of fact and not cliche driven. He is a little cloak and dagger with team information/injury updates--but I think he views this as competitive advantage. Motivational-I think he has won this team over big time. The guys like playing for him. He seems to have built up a lot of trust just by being honest--even when the message is difficult (like the one's he's had to deliver to Mike Williams, Drew and Travis). Strategy-Risk taking is good..scheming to beat an opponent with equal and/or better talent is much better--jury is still out here in my mind. Bum Phillips once said about Don Shula--he could take his'ins and beat your'ins and he could take your'ins and beat his'ins--Mularkey has to prove he is that kind of coach. Game management-I think he learned a ton last year and you will see it on the field this year.. So I am really glad he is our coach--much better choice for where the Bills were than Siefert , Coughlin, Jauron, and some of the others. It still would have been interesting to see what Fassell could have done--but the Giants apparently gave Ralph a bad personal recommendation (obviously firing him was not the best professional recommendation). Is he the next great coach--jury is still way out...
  2. Holy crap. JP just threw two ducks in row in seven on seven. He cussed loudly enough for Sister Mary Dogood sitting in the front row of the bleachers to hear him. He is done..he immediately went into the fetal position sucking his thumb and Dorenbos came over and peed on him..film at 11...
  3. Cliffhanger double episode....the definitive Retatta....it will be a sweeps week thing..our favorite Hoosier as special guest chef..
  4. You mean the $500 dollars and credit card numbers I just sent to Mr. Feelgood Jones in Lagos is part of a scam... oh sh--....I had such dreams for my share of the $54,000,000...
  5. Drew either needs a hug or a pee pee session with Rockpile....you know a pee pee session with the Rock is akin to the old father/son lifesavers commercials... Drew needs to take RESPONSIBILITY for his ACTIONS and face the CONSEQUENCES..like a MAN
  6. The majority opinion was get rid of Drew, get someone who is younger, more mobile, with more upside and more potential to take us to the playoffs on a regular basis and possibly beyond....well -- we got it...maybe we should take some time to watch and see if it happens rather than play Freud with every drive... Not aimed at you B--but when it comes to JP, TBD has paralysis by analysis...Just have fun with this.....
  7. How about shaken not stirred...someone else in the thread mentioned shattered... The only thing that will probably shatter is the paper thin positive image some folks have of JP the first time he !@#$s up in a regular season game.... What do: Jim Kelly Steve Young Joe Montana Bart Starr Peyton Manning Tom Brady John Elway Troy Aikman All have in common....they have all !@#$ed up and cost their teams games.... even in their primes..its the nature of the position--high risk/high potential for !@#$ up/high potential for adulation. The only way to evaluate JP's status as star or pretender is over time.....two seasons as a starter is a fair timeframe to me--others may have a much shorter or longer timeframes.
  8. God Bless JP. I think he will change the world and drop a few f-bombs along the way for good measure. I agree he is under pressure...but the life story is well chronicled...he has faced challenges at every step and hasn't cracked yet. He may be shaken a bit a various points during the season including now--but its very unlikely that he will ever be shattered...he's traveled too many miles of bad road in his life to be shattered by a game he loves to play.... I am looking forward to watching him learn...you know the mistakes will be aggressive ones--this will be a fun year --fun like a rollercoaster...
  9. A serious uptick for the pickle juice industry and thus to cucumber farmers everywhere...Let's make a market in cucumber futures..
  10. I'd rather the Bills beat TO's team than Ron Mexico's team in the Super Bowl..other than that three or four years in a row like this would be acceptable...
  11. I agree with your thinking Reed is the more likely to go. Coach Mularkey made the comment last night that Ritzman still needs work against the run.has the skill of a situational pass rusher right now..and both Gause and Ritzman have PS eligibility. These roster cuts are overall are going to be tough...We will put WR, LB, RB and D-Line talent out on the market that I bet will get scooped up by others.
  12. I took a leak with Jon Dorenbos. He pees real good. Rock, you're lucky he didn't make your unit disappear....he is the magic man after all. Thanks for the report. Glad you got to hang where you belong--with the upper crust...
  13. Mularkey interview from tonight is up on bb.com. Roscoe will miss the rest of the preseason is about the only nugget he would offer. When asked what type of wrist injury it was--break, sprain, strain..Mularkey said -- I am not a doctor--I can't remember the medical term...
  14. Dammit, where's that number to Ahr & Ahr & associates when I need it? I need intellectual property counsel now--anyone volunteering??? This thread brings back memories....and then TD goes and resigns Gash what a freakin assclown...
  15. I bet you Adrian........uh forget it....
  16. Mularkey and Clements will make a play out of this...just watch....it will be a direct snap to Shaud Williams or some crazy stuff...
  17. Great post Steve. Safety will never be a natural position for him. He has never crossed the "I instinctfully know what to do back here" line. He is consistently a step or two slow...folks who were at the game were commenting on the seam in the middle of the Bills D--guess why that happens and guess who was back there most of the night. You covered the tackling and angle things very well. One telling thing..he is decent on the blitz--but that is running toward a stationary/slow moving target in most cases..
  18. Happy birthday CL!! Have a great one.
  19. The season pass on NFL.com for field pass is on sale for $29.95--basically half price and it carries you through to the Super Bowl. I like listening to Murph and really like Alex when he is being a homer
  20. You are changing the world CL. I just entered my birthdate this morning because I am an attention hog...thanks so much for feeding my ego. An advance happy birthday to you...fellow Leo...
  21. Have a great one E and many, many more....
  22. You have exactly 47 years on me. I could benefit greatly from your wisdom. Happy Birthday E! I must be getting old...my mom hasn't called yet to remind me that 8 AM was my time of birth.
  23. See--I knew we should have hung on to Bledsoe until now...damn TD... We could have recouped that first round pick.. I wouldn't be too quick to slam the Bears on this topic..since durability is still a big question for JP...
  24. I think partying in Vegas with lots of food, alcohol and bikini models is a great training program. Every indication to me would seem that this would be an outstanding methodology to get in football shape.
  25. Miss Ellie deserves her own thread dammit.....AD is that you???? Miss Ellie is the Maddux of TV moms...don't diss her...
