  1. Awesome write up! I remember I was watching the game, and we got so far behind and I was so dejected, my mom and dad made me go with them to the mall to pick out a washer and dryer at Sears. I wasn't happy about it, but I had no say being an adolescent at the time. I had largely written the game off at that point as 'game over'. Then, to my happy surprise, I hear over the radios in the electronics department that the Bills were within striking distance...the rest is history. What a crazy day that was!
  2. I thought it was pretty cool when Marrone read him the text from EJ. That was a cool moment
  3. Well thought out write up, I agree with most of this. The run defense should be a lot better, and EJ has no excuse when looking at this offense on paper. Lets hope it all translates!
  4. Love me some rookie wage scale. Makes for a much less anxiety filled off season/pre season!
  5. Could be that too, I just thought it was a little early. Isn't there usually a little gap between the draft and signing? We shall find out...
  6. Yeah, I've about chalked it up to being in front of a camera at this point.
  7. Do we know his jersey number yet? Maybe unveiling that?
  8. I don't think that word means what you think it does...or I am misenterpritying it
  9. I think you misremembered how to spell "unpossible", its umpossible
  10. May I ask why you're not going to be drinking?
  11. I agree, I think that's the prevailing thought. I personally think he stutters and looks for words more often than most, but it seems I'm mostly in the minority on this one. I shall digress. I wish this thread could have been hijacked long ago, I'm a bit embarrassed by my inquisitive nature. Sometimes it gets me in awkward situations. Perhaps I "thread stutter" causing me to seem less intelligent! Wholeheartedly agree! I think he's intelligent as I've said many times. I was just wondering if others noticed the same things about his speech patterns as I.
  12. DROY - Kiko Alanso...and everyone here after until he retires
  13. Again, I think he's a very intelligent man. That was never in question, but yes, to an outside observer, he could be construed as less intelligent if they hear what I'm hearing. Then again, it seems as I'm mostly just hearing things, judging by the posts on this thread lol. This sounds like another good topic. One question, would it be an "off the wall" or "PPP" thread?
  14. Yeah, I would probably had been better served by starting this thread a couple week ago vs today lol. Before the draft and a couple weeks after FA is probably the best time for threads like this.
  15. He was that, the year before. What changed? Oh yes, the entire coaching staff and most of the front office. You're right about missing some holes, but why he missed them is a mystery. It could very well be a systemic problem. Not ready to blame it all on CJ. Side Note: this is not a condemnation of the new regime, by and large I like what they've done. For some reason, CJ was not getting the cues he was the year before.
  16. He needs to enunciate a little more. Of course, I can't say much, its hard not to mumble when you're cramming a hamsandwhich down your throat.
  17. I live in NC myself, I thought he had a very fluent way in his own dialect. That's just a difference of opinion I guess. I've only been here for about 4 years though.
  18. I think Nix was better, as far as, free flowing thoughts coming out seamlessly. Granted, he was tough to listen to for us northerners. What you're probably referring to is his drawl or his dialect, which is different from what I'm talking about.
  19. That's cool, I had thought about going into SLP field myself, instead, went Psychology. Big mistake, unless I take it a step past the Bachelors and into a Masters or above. To your point, actors like Bruce Willis, or even James Earl Jones who is a narrator a lot of times, amazingly!
  20. I really like CJ, but I guess he isn't fitting their plans. Ideal for Marrone seems to be a big strong durable RB that can take a lickin' and keep on tickin'
  21. Yeah, good point, that was another thought I had. Can't be easy being in front of a camera in a football crazed town, being grilled for inside info. Again, I think he is a very intelligent person,
