  1. Thats all well an good if that's all he's doing, then his W and L should not suffer from his helping Dareus. I take exception with his "even if it meant losing" statement. That is the antithesis of what a head coach is supposed to do. He should NEVER say that. I'll give him a pass, as TX stated earlier, its probably a product of Marrone talking for PR purposes. If it becomes a constant, where he says he would rather lose for something, that is an issue that needs correcting.
  2. I dont think anyone is forgetting Woods. If anything, Bills fans are satisfied with Woods and are penciling him in to have a great year, so they don't feel the need to rehash his position. Then of course, he's not a flashy new toy either. Woods will be intregal to this offense, and I can't wait to see what he does this year in the slot. As to your EJ point, totally agree. His next big step this year should be to hold onto the ball a second longer to let routes develop which would = more targets to more recievers.
  3. In my profession, and my degree, I know all about this stuff, but it should not be Marrone donig the counceling. That's the point.
  4. Well you could be right with what the national pundits are saying and his college film, but listening to EJ from yesterday, he seems to think that Watkins is a pretty fine route runner. Saying he can count on Sammy always being where he should be. So maybe he's more polished than we are led to believe.
  5. I've gotta admit, with that picture that you have, I figured you would go in a totally different direction with your response. IE more left, sympathetic, and all feelings driven. I agree with this, his "personal issues" does not put him behind a wheel to knowingly race. How is that a personal issue?
  6. I thought one of his strengths is his ability to run a polished route and do all of the route tree? Am I wrong?
  7. Agree with this. The job of a head coach is to WIN #1, no matter what. That's not to say Marcel shouldn't be getting help, there are likely councelors with the team that can help out. Saying something quick to the effect of, "how are you doing Marcel" to make Marcel feel like he cares is fine, but no need to get into feelings and meat of the problem. Thats energy put in the wrong place for a coach. Focus on winning because you're a coach, let councelors councel because thats what their job. I also agree with this, he said it because it's Dareus, but if its a player that doesn't mean much now, he could care less. He's just trying to play the PR game, and doing a very bad job at it. Just like sitting down and playing the "feelings" game with Stevie Johnson last year? Those achieved the goals he was intending right? 6-10 apparently was the goal
  8. I found it shocking that he said the whole, even if it meant losing, thing also. A head coach's job is to win, not to councel players like Stevie Johnson or Marcel. It's a grown man's sport, man up Marcel! If Marcel needs counceling, then the team should have councelors to help out, Marrone should be focusing on football. That's just my opinion on the subject.
  9. Hated how he would light our D's up with surgical precision, but he certainly understands that was just a game, this is real life. I have a new respect for Marino. I like him, he's a good guy.
  10. I guess...I dont think I would be worried as much for an MLB, a QB ok, but any advantage is unfair I guess.
  11. Its because of Dougy M that I don't have more material to talk about. If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't have made that oversight! He's ruined my life! ATTICA!!!
  12. WHY THAT DOUG MARRONE!!! I OUTTA GIVE HIM A PIECE OF MY MIND! Waking up today thinking the guys will be at it today and have updates throughout the day. FIRE HIM!!! ATTICA!!!
  13. Sadly, you're probably right.
  14. Have they begun again yet? F5 F5 F5
  15. Ouch Wonder why? Those things would be awesome in game.
  16. Oh great, ready for the flaming then lol
  17. I didn't see this posted, so sorry if its already posted. Either this picture captures the team logo on his visor that is reflected from somewhere on the field or this is a hologram of the logo on the visor. If its the later, thats pretty bad arse! I've never seen that before if true. Maybe I'm behind the times? http://www.buffalobills.com/news/article-1/5-things-we-learned-about-the-Bills-defense-this-week/720c3c24-b19b-4056-b04b-b27e412d133d
  18. I wholeheartedly disagree with this. Vick is in the twilight of his career, I don't think he has much left in the tank. I really don't think he'll be decidedly better than Geno at this point, and thats saying something. I guess we'll see.
  19. I agree that this is a littl e premature but I think there is ample reason for optimism, as is stated in the article.
  20. Welcome! Yes, over pursuit may have been an issue from their inherent aggressive scheme. In fact, I think it was stated by players many times, they needed to fill holes better and not over pursue. Unfortunately, they did not seem to get any better at it as the season progressed. Thus we got gashed a lot (last pats game). I think Spikes will be a big help here. Yea, I would have ranked them in the top 3, but that could be my bias showing.
  21. Seriously, what's wrong with that guy who's showing the crew around? He sounds like he's about to croak with the way he breaths.
  22. There's nothing wrong with a little disciplining. He comes from a military backround, he chose the path to discipline based on this backround. I don't get how this is a punishable offense in court? Unless there is something missing in the story. Someone said it earlier, the US is becoming more and more pussified. Pretty soon, any type of disciplining will be outlawed.
