  1. Say what you will about the defense, but almost 100% of snaps were played with all 11 guys out there!
  2. But I thought Byrd ruined the New Orleans D?
  3. Wow a whole 3 minutes of highlights!
  4. It is certainly possible. I'll take the guy with more athleticism and better work ethic personally. This is a two-year patch unless the landscape changes drastically. Can't see a better prospect in free agency or the draft right now.
  5. Was gonna post this one yesterday but someone threw it in another TT thread. I thought it raised some interesting points about how he has the ability to come from behind, citing of course the Miami game, but didn't point out that he has failed to do so many more times in his two years here. I do believe in his abilities though, and think he is our best shot for short-mid term success, but also worry that he can endup a Culter-esque tease, giving usjust enough reason for hope but never following through all the way.
  6. Good question. Lorax strikes me as a guy that can do a lot. He did play some ILB in Washington. We could see him in a lot of positions if our DC wants to utilize all of his talents. Of course, hoping that his age doesn't catch up to him too quickly.
  7. Well if he gets this last one knocked out and has plenty of time to rest up, no biggie.
  8. We all wanted to believe that EJ could become something. Oh well. Yesterday was even worse than the Jags game.
  9. Was just coming around to post this.
  10. I was looking forward to seeing him play this year before the injury, but sadly his legacy remains catching a ball standing out of bounds
  11. Darby used to be so good with the curls. He got a lot of PD's coming back to the ball on those routes. Don't know what happened to him. It is indeed a concern going into next year. I hope we find a way to keep Gilmore but we'll see if we can afford him.
  12. Kyle has one more year on his contract. I hope he gives us that one last year and then hangs em up.
  13. I can't remember if the Broncos needed to lose today or not, but the Ravens lost and that was one of the big ones.
  14. Never mind, just saw it. Wow.
  15. Can somebody tell me what happened on that kickoff TD? I didn't watch it or hear any explanation.
  16. Indeed, and a relief after today's game.
  17. That may have been the decision, but after today, why would they not un-decide that, or at least revisit?
  18. No idea what the compensation for PB would be anyway. But the Brown Bros' play definitely fell off after the early weeks.
  19. The drought is a dark cloud looming over us. Get rid of that first.
  20. I don't hate the idea of him getting things rolling for the next guy if there if they are prepared for the transition, but that's obviously a question with no answer at this time. For now I'd prefer getting a younger guy who could theoretically stick around for a long time. Granted, hitting on a coach would be a miracle in and of itself.
  21. Honestly, how many years of coaching does Coughlin have left in him?
  22. Cordy would be the highest paid RT in the league, which I agree would be low-value unless he is unstoppable at the position. However, there was a lot of talk a few years back that he would be an elite RT vs. a solid LT, which may still be true. I would think moving Cordy to RT next year as a one-year solution for the entire line - and a trial run for Kujo - would be the prudent thing to do. Maybe think about moving Cordy in 2018 if Kujo impresses and we want to dedicate our money to him.
  23. What pick would you accept for Cordy? Would it be better than long term stability on both ends of the line? BTW when KW's contract is up, he is done.
  24. I don't necessarily think that's true. The fifth year option is probably more than he would command in free agency and they might think they can get him on a cheaper prove it type of deal.
  25. Good points all around. Though if we are using the term "blitz" to mean send more than the usual ~4 guys, I don't know how often that was true. I think in total the usual 3-4 guys actually rushed but from different positions. Rex's defenses never really generated sacks, but they forced mistakes vis a vis incompletions, interceptions, etc. Either way, that's not what we saw here. I remember watching those defenses in NY and being kind of enthralled with the looks and then being kind of puzzled with how uninteresting and, more importantly, weak our defenses looked here. I remember seeing the classic Rex D in that MNF game against New England though. And the boys executed it very well. If they could do it against the Pats, why wouldn't we be doing that every week? I really have no idea what to make of it. That being said, I
