    Yeah. Unfortunately we did allow a healthy return in situationally the worst possible time (end of Miami game), but otherwise you're right.

    We had Tate, Lorax, Humber, etc. this year who can also be called "elite" teams guys. I get the feeling, a little, that the coverage units suffered on account of poor kicking and punting. But then even with Gay back we had some issues with coverage. I still feel as though last year's issues were an outlier for Crossman in his time here so we can give him another shot.

    Last year was the outlier for Crossman. Our units were pretty good in the previous years. Carp and Schmidt both had awful years and I don't think we can pin that on Crossman.

    Yeah, it's kind of shocking how many people are expecting a decision on TT at this point. Just got a coach, still have no OC.

    Yeah, the ST units were not bad before last year. Schmidt and Carp probably had a lot to do with it.

    Yellow journalism is back, unfortunately. Half these guys are looking for sensasionalist articles and hot takes instead of boring but useful information.

    Special Teams were seen as a strength in years prior under Crossman. I think we had performance issues but Crossman may not be the one to fault for the down year.

    Good resume overall as OC. Also consider his offenses in SD had weak OL talent and last year they lost their top receivers and he was able to get a lot of production from guys like Tyrell Williams. Bad HC for sure, but good OC.

    I would miss Lorax, Woods, Tate, Felton most. Hunter, Humbar, Gilmore after that. Gilmore could leave and be great or leave and be merely serviceable but the way we'll look at it will always come back to the money. Not sure if his skill set meshes with McD's zone but wouldn't hate to keep him for the right price.

    I wonder if Schmidt was having an off year or coached poorly? He seemed to have a booming leg and good directional punts before last year.
