  1. Well put. But I'm a hopeless romantic.
  2. Agreed. In no way do I find "McBeane" an insult. It's a shorthand way to talk about this management team (GM and HC) as they seem to be completely in step with each other. (At least so far.) Perhaps some use it differently, but I haven't noticed it. McClappy or McClappity could be considered fairly insulting, and I suppose some use it that way. Nothing too major, though. I simply couldn't care less about whether a coach claps, says "obviously" too much, or whatever. Those are just low level BS insults used by those that those not capable of commenting intelligently about the football aspects of the head coach.
  3. When I was younger the answer would be a definite YES! But I've dated a few of these crazy actress/models/dancers/whatever and I've made a vow to not do it again. With that said, probably. I'm old enough where it really doesn't matter if it's a bad breakup. Just gotta make sure she doesn't kill me in my sleep.
  4. Ha, that's what I meant. Dunno how the decimal point got in there. D'Oh!
  5. Just a tip. Historically TSW threads like this begin with: "Hear me out..."
  6. Yolo on the spot! Seriously, who's better than you? I know I haven't thanked you for all you do in quite some time. So let me take the opportunity in this thread, where you once again nearly instantly supplied information pertinent to the topic. Bravo Yolo!
  7. And? Nothing at all to contribute? 27 posts, and this is one? Fortunately the game start time was unaffected. But I'm not a fan of pregame/in game pyrotechnics on the field. Wait until the game is over. Then go nuts!
  8. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2019/09/15/colts-hope-to-talk-adam-vinatieri-out-of-retirement/ And I don't think Vinatieri is retiring simply because he missed a couple kicks. It's probably physical or at least psychological. And if a player believes he is hurting the team and will continue to do so, I'd prefer he step down (yes, even mid season) than continuing to hurt the team going forward. It isn't as if he quit at halftime.
  9. This is the kind of thinking that keeps bad organizations bad. A great kicker is an incredible asset. Every play a kicker is involved with is either a scoring play or a play that results in a big change in field position. No intelligent modern football fan dismisses this part of the game so casually.

  11. I definately feel for them. Tough breaks.
  12. I like Natalie's Tangerine Juice.
  13. He and Bradshaw are criminally underrated. Of those two, Young was better, IMO. But how can a guy that led his team to 4 Super Bowls be as overlooked as Bradshaw?
  14. One thing about Steve Young, I can't recall him ever making a bad running decision. When he ran, it was the right thing to do. Can't say that about many other QBs. Allen is starting to look a lot like that. If/When he can throw as accurately as Young, things will go to another level. But the level he's playing at right now, in his 2nd year, is pretty freaking good, IMO.
  15. Well, two bad games, two weeks in a row. Just for clarification. But I also have to believe he realizes he simply doesn't have it to play to the level he expects. Otherwise, I agree it would be weak. Given his career, I doubt it's a weak excuse.
  16. Agreed. But he did it an a clever, but matter of fact, manner. I saw no real cockiness at all.
  17. Allen certainly show class. But I'm not sure how telling a reporter Buffalo is not only A NY ream, but the ONLY NY team could possibly be thought of as classless or cocky. Just correcting a misconception.
  18. Saw/heard the same thing. First thing i thought: I'm glad I didn't draft him for my fantasy team. Yes, I think he holds himself to a high standard and he simply can't meet it anymore. I expect he will retire tomorrow. But I could be wrong.
  19. While you would typically be correct, in this instance "that's a thing here" is the best way for me to respond. Inside comment to DC Tom. Same as when SOME (but not all) say a guy was resigned, when they really mean re-signed. It's hard to tell which commenters are playing and which are really stupid, though.
  20. MMmmmm! A wall of made of bacon and ribs. I'll bring the sauce!
  21. Not sure why one would make this political, but since it's on" If they are white skinned hogs, nothing will be done. But if they are dark skinned hogs, we MUST stop them from crossing the border. NEW WALL!! That's what they do with feral hogs in Italy. Cook em up! White or dark skinned. I like to say, if a pig didn't die, it isn't dinner.
  22. Nice work, Doggy. I expect nothing less from you.
  23. Obviously I'm not Gase fan. But I think "throwing them under the bus" is a clickbait headline. I'd like to think we are better than that.
