Do you know anyone that doesn’t like pizza?
The Dean replied to Another Fan's topic in Off the Wall Archives
n I grew up cooking beside my grandmothers. At one point, I learned to make ricotta gnocchi (which I love). In my earlier years I made it very successfully a couple times. But i haven't been able to figure it out as I got older. I watched a ton of those videos. The last time I attempted it, it was like an episode of Lucy. All I needed was Ethel to be there. Dough all over everything: Counter, Faucet, Floor, you name it. An epic disaster. I guess the mistake wasn't using the volcano I learned with. But I think the real issue is, I have no feel for the dough. -
WOW. But why do people with iPhones always seem to shoot in portrait mode in situations where landscape seems so much more useful? OK, maybe it's not just iPhone people. And yes I know he is shooting mostly through windows. So this guy gets a pass. But my point remains.

I can't make dough to save my life. I try to make it by hand, like my grandmothers did and I SUCK at it. I have to get a Kitchen Aid Machine one of these days. I also used to make a lot of Italian sausage, but my meat grinder broke. The KA should be fine for that, too, given the limited amount I make. -
1 (tie): Home. Watching by myself 1 (tie): Home. Watching with a very few close friends/Bills fans who want to WATCH THE GAME and keep the discussion limited and focused on the game. If I can't get that, then any decent bar when I can get a piece of turf to keep my drink. Once in a while I don't mind hanging with a bunch of rabid Bills fans, but there are typically too many distractions for my taste. Like blasting terrible music during time outs and such.

Honestly, that's pretty fabulous stuff, right there. I almost always like it better when the musicians just play/sing and forgo the dancing/show. But also, these are just better songs, IMO. Lot of old school here.

Are you MAD? I can't go screwing around and trying new things at a time like this.
-
See? You did just fine. Sometimes all it takes is a bit of time and reflection.

Cornmeal on the stone/brick makes a great surface for baking the pizza!

Great song. Good stuff. Thankfully I'm not "from" Florida. I'm just stuck here.

I'm not reading through this entire thread. But the crust is essential. A Brown is correct, if the crust sucks the toppings don't really matter. But I don't believe a pizza HAS to have an outer, unsauced crust. I've had some that have huge outer crusts and were great. Some sauced all the way to the edge, that were great. But putting tons of toppings on a pizza has never appealed to me.

Riverside Jacksonville? Ever to to Pattaya Thai on King Street? I almost went there for lunch last Wednesday but couldn't get there before they closed until dinner. Russell is a great guy and makes terrific Thai Food---at least for this area. He's not afraid to go for it with the heat, either, if you ask him to.

If any store near you has this, try it. Great flatbread crust. Far better than any other I've tried: https://brooklynbred.com/pizza-crusts/] The pizza I made yesterday was with these. https://www.stonefire.com/products/artisan-thin-pizza-crust/ OK, but the Brooklyn Bred is better. They also have thin crusts, I see, but I have yet to find them in a store down here: -
I have friends in World Golf Village (where I've spend the past two hurricanes). I may go there tomorrow, if it looks dicey.

QB Davis Webb - Meet Bills New #3 QB
The Dean replied to StHustle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not a bad PS pickup, IMO. Just for giggles, here's a piece on Davis from pre-draft 2017. Enjoy! (Or don't. What do I care? ) https://www.cbssports.com/g00/nfl/news/how-davis-webb-has-become-the-most-intriguing-qb-prospect-in-the-nfl-draft/?i10c.ua=1&i10c.encReferrer=&i10c.dv=13 -
Beautiful. Last I read it was moving forward at 1 MPH

I don't know. But apparently it has a Johnson.

I can understand someone thinking Hoyer is better than Barkley (though at this point in their careers, and for the 2019 Bills, I don't agree). But you clearly don't want to use their salaries as any sort of proof, do you? Are you prepared to argue every player making X is better than every player making less than X? This didn't help your case at all.

Skin Flutie? Me too! And, while I can do without "performances" and while this isn't really my kind of music, Lizzo is OK by me. Certainly has some talent. Gave a nice interview to Terry Gross on Fresh Air.

We're under a mandatory evacuation starting sometime today. I still haven't quite figured out if I'm staying or going. I definately prefer to stick around, if possible. If I leave it will be at the last minute.

Signed by the Colts

Who do you want on the Practice Squad?
The Dean replied to ChevyVanMiller's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Indeed. Because I don't think he was ever under center during college. Then again, it might be a bit tougher to take a snap from center when you are that tall. Just sayin. And how often did this year's #1 draft pick take a snap under center. And yes, I understand they operate from two different offenses. But again, just sayin. And while still obviously still very raw, I thought he should progress in every game. The 4th Q finish in PS game 4 was fairly impressive. But that wasn't all. He demonstrated a seriously quick release, which some QBs NEVER learn to do With that said, if there were a more "versatile" QB (as Hapless puts it) for practice purposes AND has good ability and upside to be an NFL QB, then I'd say "sign that guy". But until they sign that guy, Ty is fine for the Bills PS, I think. -
I don't believe, in 2019, that Hoyer is better than Barkley. Better career? No doubt. But for the 2019 Buffalo Bills I'd lean toward Barkley. Barkley seems to be aging in the league very nicely. And for the record (though I think it means very little) Barkley's QBR was better than Hoyer's last year.

Conor McDermott must have pictures of Uncle Sean

And done well, to boot.
