  1. OK, then. First of all, I don't think his preseason numbers are bad at all. Second, as a research/data guy, I would never make an evaluation solely based on stats, without knowing more about context. And didn't he only have 5 punts this preseason. But more importantly, to dismiss a very good career based on a handful of preseason kicks seems a bit crazy to me. But to each his own, I guess. His age doesn't concern me at all, at this stage. He's a freaking punter.
  2. Seriously? I mean I don't want to be dismissive. Did he come off a bit injury from last year? Because then I'd be concerned. But a career good punter having an off preseason doesn't even register with me, if there are no extenuating circumstances.
  3. A puzzler, for sure. Clearly there is SOMETHING they like about this guy. I just can't figure out what it is.
  4. What exactly turned you off about his numbers? 83 punts total, 32 inside the 20, last year. His net avg wasn't spectacular, but I suspect those strategic punts had a lot to do with it. And, you know, the Browns.
  5. I don't see Pitts on that list, but he HAS to be PS eligible, no?
  6. Great video. I see no ashtrays on the bar. I assume they were vaping. While I can't be sure of how I would react in this particular case, the gunman was of no particular threat to the guy just sitting at the bar. He was far more forceful with the guy on the floor next to him. Now, I've had a gun pointed at my head at least twice. (I only remember two instances. Would I forget having a gun pointed at me?) According to one guy (who became my friend, drug dealer after the incident) claimed I laughed at him. I'm sure it was a nervous, "how do I deflate the air in this situation?" kind of thing, but I acted calm. Inside I was a bit of a wreck. But I didn't believe he was actually going to shoot me. The second time was a bit less intense with a guy threatening everyone, but didn't seem to have much conviction. I more or less did what this guy did, and just tried to keep things calm. The reason I say I'm not sure what I'd do in this situation is, I can't hear the guy's voice or know exactly what was going on. I suspect I might just sit on the floor to avoid the personal attention. But sitting at the bar worked for this guy. With all that said, if the guy pointed a gun at me and demanded my wallet, I'd just give it to him. Money isn't that important.
  7. Sure. Think only of yourself. We've had our share the past few years.
  8. Yes, that's the normal progression
  9. That's where the explanations get a bit murky, for me at least. I'd think he'd have to stay on the roster past week 1. Otherwise the process seems like a bit of a sham.
  10. Just for the record , PS signings start at 1pm tomorrow
  11. Again , another team can claim him, but he must be placed on the 53. If nobody claims him, Bills can either: Put him in the PS as an extra player, but can't be called up during the year. OR Put him on the regular PS, where he becomes just another PS player subject to normal rules. Of course they can put him on the 53, too..
  12. Ah, if it were only so easy.
  13. Again, Croom is on IR
  14. You're smarter than that, Kay. At least your appear to be on TV
  15. Consistency is Corey's issue
  16. He certainly had a good presaeson. I wouldn't mind seeing him re signed . Why not give him a year to, you know, learn to play football? Agreed. Neal has versatility.
  17. Deja vu? Love the Ramjet avatar.
  18. I don't understand the fascination with Croom and Kelly Pegula. Hasn't that nonsense played itself out yet? Look, I doubt they love Croom. But it costs them nothing to do this. It saves them from having Coleman's salary guaranteed for the entire year. And they have a guy in IR who knows the system and has worked with the team. Nothing great, but no downside that I can see.
  19. Every year the Pats* have a FB on the roster. Do you notice him making any plays? Makes sense when you say it that way.
  20. Good. I like the kid's versatility. Oy, this is getting a bit tedious, but it's because it is so confusing. He has to pass through waivers BEFORE the Bills can give him that 11th spot.
  21. Obviously. That's my real question. Can they keep him on the roster for one week, then tuck him on their PS (after waivers, of course)?
  22. At one point I got 26 and Yolo mixed up, as they performed similar tasks here: Keeping us very up-to-date on breaking Bills news. And they seemed to coordinate pretty well (not putting up duplicate posts, for example.) I just assumed, given the volume and regularity of their posts, they were being paid some compensation by SDS. At one time I thought they might be bot accounts, they are so on the ball. Anyway, I once mentioned I thought they were basically the same guy, and got quite the reaction from one of the guys. Can't remember which one responded. But it was clear he didn't appreciate being mistaken for the other one.
  23. Of course. Just sayin, if anyone really coveted him for the future, they could pull that move and lose little (one PS spot). But I don't expect it to happen. He'll be the Bills 11th PS guy.
