  1. Yeldon? Alpha excellent effort. I agre with most (as they are fairly obviously). I also think, as others have pointed out, the numbers are a bit skewed to the D. I also think it is quite unlikely that both ST standouts will get cut. Perhaps if a couple players are realling killing it at ST it's possible. Still a really good attempt at this point dealing with the available info. What do you guys think of today's depth chart? Is Harrison really on the bubble, or could this be a motivational move?
  2. Me too! Well, looking up dado blades anyway. Was nowhere near the weirdest thing I looked up today. 🤪 No kidding. One of the Google "Questions" that pops up when you do a search is something like "are dado blades illegal". So obviously I had to delve a bit further. A regular table saw is far too dangerous an item for me to be around on a regular basis. I'll pass on the dado, dado.
  3. I have never seen her pick games, but that doesn't mean she hasn't picked them. I have seen her report on what team her MODEL picks. Two completely different things. As a guy who spend most of his career in research, I was bound by duty to report what the research data suggested. But that wasn't always MY opinion. Fortunately my bosses and colleagues typically asked what I personally believed. Sometimes it matched the data, but often enough it did not. I would have liked her cohosts to ask her, at least once in a while, "But what do YOU think, Cynthia?" Anyway, I see no downside here. She's bright and having more quality content is a good thing.
  4. It's a Bills centric show. They are both associated and involved with the Bills. One would think when they pass along factually verifiable information, they have the correct information. I didn't hear what they said (I'm in Florida) so I don't know if they blew it or not. But if they did, then shame on them. Now if they come back tomorrow and talk about their mistake, then good for them. People make mistakes. Admitting them does wonders for the reputation, IMO. As for the individuals, I don't care that much for Brown, but he is the company flack. It's Tasker that really bothers me, because I think he could be fairly good, if he worked at it.
  5. So what? He's being paid to do a job and his is shirking his duties. That's why. Can you imagine if he approached playing football with the attitude you suggest? He isn't a football player anymore, he is a broadcaster. His contributions on the field are a completely different matter. I have mad respect for what he did as a Bill. But as a broadcaster, he is cringeworthy. With that said, I think there may be bonus payments that can be spread into later years, if they aren't due until future years. But I'm not positive about that.
  6. 🤣 Fair enough! Cribs was a terrific player. Both the Bills and his agent are to blame for the contract BS that went on. But mostly the Bills. That wouldn't happen under this regime, IMO.
  7. You are correct, the MVP vote is taken BEFORE the playoff begins. It is a regular season award. And wins and losses are absolutely NOT an official stat for QBs. Sports writers, broadcasters and ill informed fans use it as one all the time. But it's not an official stat.
  8. THIS is my biggest issue with Tasker as a broadcaster. I'm certain he didn't become an ace ST player by phoning it in. But virtually every time I see/hear him doing game commentary, it's clear that's exactly what he is doing in his new job. It's an insult to broadcast professionals who take the job seriously and to the audience.
  9. While not a major move how is any increase with FOUR YEARS left on the contract not be considered an unequivocal victory for him?
  10. I agree, for MENS volleyball. Obviously I'm talking bikinis here, Hap. Thought that was obvioius
  11. The kiss of death for a thread. Honestly Hap, if this thread was from most posters, I'd have stopped reading there. But you deserve some leeway, IMO And I agree, TEAMS, successful teams, are far more than a sum of their parts. Like a cake is far more than the sum of its ingredients. I only wish people would take this into account when they propose some trades/FA signings. And I think everyone thinks Beach Volleyball becuse it is the best one to watch
  12. Seems about right. Thanks Simon. How ya doin? I didn't even realize the Bills had that much to spend, this year.
  13. Well, yes it does. Thanks. That gives me a bit of confidence on 2022. I'd love to get a definitive answer on this year? I would think, when reporting the structure and its impact on the cap, a good reporter (who specializes in this sort of thing) might have (and share) this information. But they haven't so far, as far as I can tell. I see comments that now the Bills are in cap hell. I know the contract is structured pretty well going forward to avoid that. But I wonder, what has it done to this year's cap? How much cap room did the Bills have before he signed? How much do they have now? Should be simple, right?
  14. No problem. You answered my question on the other thread. But this is the kind of stuff I'm seeing, as well as a few others. Just looking for the year by year breakdown. But thanks for the effort.
  15. Very nice exercise, IMO. Did Hapless start a thread on this earlier tonight? I swore I read it, but now can't find it.
  16. Some of the best football fans I've ever encountered were Steeler fans. Went there to watch Bills game several times, always had a blast with the fans. Of course, some fans of every team are idiots. Yes, even Bills fans. Some fans just take things too seriously. I've also had really good experiences at away games with Raider fans. They are funny.
  17. I admit I haven't read every message, so perhaps the info I'm looking for is buried in this thread. If so, just let me know. But I googled a bit and still can't find precisely what I'm looking for. What was Josh's cap hit for 2021 and 2022 BEFORE the new contract. And with the new contract what are the salary cap hits now. I've heard he saved us money in 2022, but I haven't seen the before and after numbers for both years. I'm completely stoked with the contract no matter what, but I'm curious. Thanks in advance.
  18. So you're suggesting that if Palmer (a QB coach) was Josh's agent, Josh would be as successful as a QB as he is now, AND Palmer (not an agent) could negotiate as good of a contract? Even though I'm sure this was a joke, it falls flat on every level. Palmer is far better off in his current arrangement with Josh.
  19. My very first thought. Perhaps there is something in the contract between Palmer and Allen that takes care of this. The "Archer" in me is thinking, "HJ?"
  20. And don't forget the ever popular "Every team does it". I was never a Riveron fan. Blandino was pretty good in the role, though. With that said, I wish the NFL would go to overturning only OBVIOUS blown calls. If they have to look at super slow motion on several different angles, the call was good enough, IMO. Let them play. But there are instances where most everyone saw what happened except the official who made the bad call. These should be reversed, or upheld, in about 30 seconds, IMO, of course.
  21. Really? Cousins had NOTHING another QB could learn from? I suggest you take a lesson from Mahomes. Respect, and learn, from ALL of your competitors.
  22. I mean, you know there aren't camera all over the place as there would be in a real game, right? This looks like something someone caught on their cell phone. Are you suggesting the Bills know what play is coming and then tell people with camera to get in poor positions to get lousy angles? Pretty sure this is just the luck of the draw, given what someone captures at practice. But never dismiss the conspiracy theory. I will never understand why people do this. Turn the freaking phone!
