I assume you've heard of "Bugs", though. Bugs Malone, Bugs Bunny (my personal favorite Bugs).

The only real downside I can see for this signing, is now the guys will have to listen to THIS in the locker room: Many hate Bug Music!

Reggie Gilliam officially listed as FB
The Dean replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think many, if not most, NFL players who aren't a roster lock would be happy with any designation that gives them a better shot at making the team. Still it's good to give an attaboy when someone happily does it. Attaboy, Reggie! Pretty much. But I wonder then, why bother? Maybe it's because they want Reggie to work with the backs in TC, because that's where he will learn the most this year. So his number and position fit right in. Honestly, dunno, But wondering if it doesn't matter (which it kinda doesn't it seems) why do it? Distracting noise for the press, opponents? Seems strange. -
Jim Kelly recovering from ankle replacement surgery
The Dean replied to buffaloaggie's topic in The Stadium Wall
Obviously I was thrilled when the Bills drafted Kelly. When he refused to come here, and chose Houston and the USFL, I was pissed. Screw you, was my take then. But when I saw how he played in Houston, while getting seriously abused due their horrible OL, I was back in the fold. "We NEED that guy, was my take" because he was probably going to be abused in Buffalo, too. There are few modern football players as tough as JK, IMO. 🤣 When I told my doctor (and lifelong friend) I was going to donate my body to science, we discussed what, if any, of my organs might be of use to anyone (other than for medical students to study). My doctor friend suggested this: "The Smithsonian might be interested in your liver." -
Josh Allen - A Glitch in the Matrix

Great find, Chevy. Thanks for posting it. Fresh as it gets, posted on Youtube today -
I prefer an even mix. They both have their charms, IMO. On flats? Quick twist and pull.

Jim Kelly recovering from ankle replacement surgery
The Dean replied to buffaloaggie's topic in The Stadium Wall
Wishing Jimbo a speedy recovery. But, damn, how many surgeries (counting all the cancer stuff) has he had? I can't even imagine what it must be like to go through that. I'm 64 and I've never had a surgery or even spent a night in a hospital. I fear that's all going to coming to a screaming halt one day soon. I admit, it scares me a bit. But Jim is a tough mofo.- 38 replies

Zach Wilson no show at Jets' camp UPDATE: SIGNED
The Dean replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He might be. Many highly intelligent people (genius?) aren't all that great at managing people. Perhaps using him as a resource for ideas, but without direct contact with players, will work. I doubt it, but it is possible, I suppose -
Yeech! Funny thing, the place that makes decent wings down here (but serves them whole, so you have to separate them yourself, which sucks) was supposed to have the absolute best blue cheese. When I finally went, I found their blue cheese to be sub ordinary. So I asked about it. The owner/manager/whatever told me it cost a lot to make an very few people gave a damn. So they just went cheap. On several occasions I questioned whether a restaurant actually gave me ranch, because there was no blue cheese taste, or chunks, to the dressing. "No, that's the blue cheese" they'd respond. Yeech! Exactly what I do, Simon. I may get a slightly better bottle from the dairy (Marzetti's for example) but definately add the crumbled blue cheese. But will use Kens or Kraft in a pinch. I actually like the big restaurant jugs of Kraft (can't remember which label). One of the reasons I never really liked Marie's is because it tasted like mayo with chunks of blue cheese. I like the dressing surrounding the blue cheese chunks to taste like blue cheese as well.

Wow! So they took a team that hadn't been to the playoffs (for how many years?) to the AFC Championship game in four years, but the only good move they made was QB. Right. Again, where is your NFL resume? I must have missed it. BTW, EVERY Single GM makes their share of mistakes. BTW, EVERY Single GM makes their share of mistakes. Actually, let me clarify that. IMO it isn't a mistake if you use the method that works for you, and it doesn't pan out. That's a "bad beat". It's only a "mistake" if the process wasn't sound. -

🤣🤣 Given what B&B have accomplished, I'll take their judgement over yours, or any poster, just about any day. The arrogance of some here just amazes me. -

I agree Allen is the big contract that needs to get done. But not everyone else is expendable if you want to continue to be in the mix, year in and year out, IMO. -
Their BASE is Franks. There are other ingredients, too. But the biggest mistake a place can make, IMO, is getting too "creative" with the sauce.
-
I'm confused. Have you had "Buffalo wings" before? Did you like them? Because if they were traditional Buffalo wings, they were most likely Frank's based, or perhaps with some other (lamer) hot sauce. What do you think is used in that sauce? Frank's has an interesting history. Remember when it was Durkee's Frank's? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frank's_RedHot

Keep in mind, not every team was in the same position when Covid hit. It impacted some teams worse than others when it came to dealing with the unexpected cap hit. -
Speaking of Bailey Ave, how about Annacones? Great Beef on Weck and terrific bar prices. Good jukebox, too! But I was never a fan of Bailo's beef. Overcooked covered with gravy. That's not my idea of a BOW. But their fries and gravy were good.

Who knows what schemes the coaches have devised to close that gap? Who knows how much better Edmunds will be if he plays the entire year injury free? Who knows how much better Oliver, AJ, etc. will be this year? I think you mean, the Bills didn't make the major personnel changes you would have liked, to better compete with the Chiefs. That's only one part of what makes teams great. And given the very unexpected weirdness of the past couple years and it's impact on the Cap, the didn't have a lot of wiggle room this year, to have continuity yet add major difference makers. And with that said, do we KNOW the Chiefs will be better this year? They signed some names on the OL, that's true. They have yet to play together, so we really have no idea. With all that said, I don't think building a team to beat one specific team is typically a good idea. Maybe when the other team is dominant and in your division and you KNOW you will play them twice ever year, you might consider it. But what if the Chiefs don't make the playoffs and the Bills have to contend with a the Ravens or Titans in the playoffs. A team built specifically to "beat the Chiefs" may not be your best option. I'm not saying what they have done is enough. How the hell do we know? But I'm happy they didn't trash the current team to sign some big names, given their current position. B&B are playing the long, and short, game. Indeed -
Love the "Buffalo Special". Mister Dees used to have a similar offering. That's what I would get most of the time.
-
Wow, even the pictures of wings on their site are terrible.
-
Good call on Judi's. An overlooked gem of a bar. Great prices, too. But not necessarily the place to go if you like your wings HOT!!!! Still, I almost always stop there when I'm in town. 😄

Eat in? On the order of Buffalo Wild Wings?

Is Wing Stop an actual physical location, or just a delivery service? I think there's one company that isn't associated with any particular restaurant. They get the wings where they get the wings. This is what it's become? Yes, some will want to go to the "famous" place and show off online. I prefer to go to the best place, especially if it's only well known by locals. I despise most bar/restaurants that are glorified souvenir shops (Hard Rock Cafe, for example). But I get it. When people would come to SF (for example) and want to go to the Hard Rock, I'd tell them to go get their souvenir and then meet them at place that is actually good. With that said, I always had fun at the Anchor bar. OK wings and pizza and other food. They used to have jazz on the weekend. Just a fun place. I can understand people wanting to go there. But I'd never wait in line to get in.

You do know the Chiefs beat TB during the season last year? And you do know New Orleans beat them TWICE? Then, according to some, there is NO POSSIBLE WAY the Bucs could turn around and win during the playoffs unless they make changes to their team. Am I getting this right? Teams split games within their division on a regular basis, year in and year out, with no major changes in their personnel. One reason is, a team with the same players is never the SAME, week in and week out, year in and year out. Schemes can be changed. Players get better and get worse. Get injured and get really healthy. Players can get more comfortable in the scheme and working together, etc. Now I'm not suggesting the Bills wouldn't have benefited from being a bit more aggressive in some areas. But given what McBeen have accomplished so far, don't you think they deserve the benefit of the doubt here? I mean if you have a more impressive NFL resume, then feel free to present it. So far, I'd say this FO is doing pretty well. But ever year is a brand new season. -
If you find yourself in the Falls again, try La Hacienda Pizza on Pine Ave. Still one of my favorites in the country. (No relation to the Buffalo area La Hacienda.) If you find yourself in the Falls again, try La Hacienda Pizza on Pine Ave. Still one of my favorites in the country. (No relation to the Buffalo area La Hacienda.) Two foods I always order "Crispy" are wings and pizza. My brother in law (and some others) regularly complain their pizza or wings are undercooked. My first question is usually, did you order them well done/crispy? I just can't leave it to chance anymore.

Deep fried. Bone-in un-breaded/non-coated wings. Sauced with a Frank's based sauce or other comparable Louisiana hot sauce. IMO there's a big difference between Franks and Crystal (for example} and other similar sauces, but I suppose they count, too . Minor variations are acceptable and what differentiate the various places being discussed. Some use butter, some margarine. Some use a touch of other spices and ingredients. I'd say Anchor is grandfathered as they are the "original", but I'm not sure they use Franks, to be honest. But I don't think anyone would consider grilled raspberry sauced wings "Buffalo Wings". Do you? When you look at the list of the best known, and highest rated wings in Buffalo, they all pretty much follow these rules, wouldn't you say? 😄 Now I have to edit my list above.
