  1. The big one I had was in college 35 years ago. i had 2 incidents happen over about a 1 months time at college …. incident 1….in my dorm I was at a hall party. I walked downstairs to run back to the dorm room. On my way doen someone going upstairs du,ped beer on me. I didn’t know these people nor did anything to provoke this. After an argument one of the guys cold clocked me snd I feel to the floor. Witnesses said i was kicked. incident 2 … a few weeks later I was playing a hard touch football game ( you had to obviously touch the player like grabbing their arms or waist) with dorm mates on the college astroturf field. Me and another player collided heads on a play. didn’t think of any of these things….I wasn’t having anything like a long drawn out headache. Over the following months I noticed something was off with my learning skills. The only subject I seemed to do well in was math. for a few year in college I had problems with colleges. Thrn it improved and went back to normal. about 15 years later I had brain surgery planned to treat a form of epilepsy I had. I had a bunch of texts. One of these was a CT scan. the CT scan showed a spot in the front lobe on the right side of my brain in the front and a corresponding spot on the left side of my brain in the back of my head. ehrn I saw it it had to be consultant because that was the point of impact with both things I mentioned above. i was likely still young enough for my brain to re-wire itself and recover. as for the brain surgery…. I had two forms of epilepsy. the form I had as a infant was always controlled with a small amount of meds. Drs say I grow out of it. I go off meds and in 2 weeks I have a seizure. These seizures was classic form. the second type came out post puberty. This was more of an absence seizure. I had 25-30 sec spells you might not realize I was having a seizure. I had medications added over the years but I’d have break thru seizures because it woukd adapt to the drugs. i had my brain surgery in DC. Prior to the surgery I had the following tests 1 ct scan 2 mri 3 neuropsychology test 4 wada test 5 a 5-7 day inpatient epilepsy study 2,3,5 were done post surgery i had a second opinion done out of univ of Virginia pre surgery. the neuropsych test is a long 5+ hr test thst focus on different memory and learning tests believed to be done in different areas of the brain. Post op text only focused that are in the surgical area so it was shorter. the MRI clearly showed a problem area. The amygdola in an mri looks like an oval nut. You have one on each side. The one on my left side looked weird shaped not a normal shape, the Wada test gave me a new perspective on vegetative states. In the test they send a catheter up your main arteries into the brain. They first go up my right side of my brain. They inject a hot chemical that simulates a stroke. Thrn I’m tested on the left side only operating. I could hear fine. I saw objects shown and recognize them. I could not speak or recall the words.when they reversed sides I was full functional. the surgery was a success with very minimal long term problems. It got rid of the second seizures. I still take meds for the first type I had as a infant. in my post neuropsych test there was nothing different. the problems I do have are 1. I can have problems on some short term memory like memorizing a list of 5 items. My recall memory processing is slower. I can blank on peoples names. Along with this is a form of dysleksia that cause word and spelling changes. Sonet8nes I can change words that start the same but have different endings. 2. my jaw is affected because of muscles getting cut in surgery. I can’t open my mouth as wide as I could before. It was worse after the surgery. I could get a small burger in my mouth from mcd/bk but couldn’t eat a whopper/quarter pounder 3. some peripheral vision was affected. This nerves go thru the surgical area.
  2. No…they take the clock prior to that last play…they shoot for the end zone at the 15… not over the middle plays.
  3. it’s not much of a stretch. The moved the ball about the same distance down the field that they did on the final drive would have put them inside the15 with end zone shots.
  4. Weather update…. the outer band of the hurricane will be over washington-Baltimore Friday evening snd overnight into Saturday am. thr system is forecast to go inland over West Virginia. the rest of Saturday- Tuesday morning it will be on an off rain showers. Some heavier bands. winds are expected to be 20 mph+ During this period. thr temps are expected to be highs in the low to mid 60s
  5. If he lived in Cecil county MD he should get both Baltimore and Philadelphia tv channels on cable
  6. We still haven’t gotten Nantz-Romo we will at KC
  7. i live in DC… thevtiming and track are the isdue. Saturday looks to be an all day rain. Sunday during the day can be rain too…but it depends greatly on the storm track. thr closer the center is the more windy it will be where there can be 25 mph+ winds.
  8. just saw this on my local area forecast in DC Early forecasts having a constant rain from Saturday night thru Sunday. the center of it around game time could be near the DC area which woukd be within 50 miles of the stadium. rain fall could be 5+ inches with winds in strong cells.
  9. I thought it was cow dung?
  10. there are scenarios where the game is rescheduled…..such as moved to Saturday evening or played on Tuesday. a potential track is hitting tampa, following I-4 over the Atlantic on Friday, restrength snd on Sunday still be a tropicalstotmsityingnover the Chesapeake bay ehivh puts the stadium into a flood evacuation zone
  11. New Pro Bowl competitions… 1. competitive eating 2. pool splash competition 3. how many women numbers can the players get
  12. The weather will be an issue for this game what Ian does is the factor. Sunday coukd be a heavy rain game fed from Ian moisture. when a hurricane is small and gets strong category 3 or 4 it’s common for them to get weaker but spread in its radialdistance. That rain is likely Ian-related rain so expect downpours if it occurs
  13. No Taylor swift….the outrage……
  14. Post loss …it’s like the rooster was given a weekend home pass from the hen house….
  15. Interesting to see…. how many Steelers fans get tickets this year. during SB years I was at the bills- Steelers blow out of something like 58-31 final score. There was about 2/3 of the fans were Sterler fans. In the 4th fights started to break out so many fans in the stands were watching the fights.
  16. to be fair…… there are many buffalo area transplants that live elsewhere in the USA but were raised in WNY. I realized this 30 yrs ago. along the 95 corridor you have a good number from Boston to dc. their are large numbers in Raleigh area, Nashville, Atlanta, LA, Phoenix, vegas, and other major cities. It would be an interesting map to see Native Bills fans transplants. it’s not so much WNY peop,e going to road games but others who now live in the road areas traveling 3-4 hrs to the games.
  17. Reminds me of last year going to nashville. On my plan I had a few other obvious bills fandps wearing stuff. peop,e near me were “ clueless” and in conversation isaid aloud…” bills fans say hi”… most of the plane screams “ hi”. The FA standing near me rolls his eyes
  18. Not a hill to die on….
  19. this is Josh—- I shave the Gillette stadium field just so close and smooth….”
  20. it’s tied to the issue of jet lag stuff. most east coast teams play at 1 or 4. It’s not a big deal if they play out west with a 1 pm local stsrt (4 on their clocks) for w east coast teams going east a 2 pm kick off is a 10am start on their body clocks. uou run into the problem on return trip for east teams. It messes their schedule if they fly on Monday. in baseball you will never have a west coast site game on one day and the next day the team is playing a game n eastern time. It’s always a travel/ off day fir the team. Under scheduling rules, the farthest the teams playing on the west coast can go the next day are to crntral time zone citues with the game an afternoon game. if a team played in Seattle with a 1230 start, game over by4, teams shower et all and thry are on a plane by 530 pm thry can travel to central time zone cities snd land before 1am. Play next day in the evening at 7 pm local time.
  21. i can’t re all who it was but I recall that. then there was the New England game at buffalo. Just under 2 and nNE out of time outs. We were down by 2, near the goal line. Kneeling just to burn the clock and kick a FG to win . The patricheats players tried to push him into the end zone and got a unsportsmanlike/ personal foul. Buffalo won 33-30 a FG with clock expiring. there are a few games every year where the offensive team is down 2, 1, tied, or is up by 1 and the D is letting them score but the player goes down.
  22. Cbs has just one game. Their team is playing in the early slot on fox. They take the late 4 pm cbs game to not go against the home team. cbs local woukd lose a ton of money for ad revenue airing a 1 pm game.
  23. Let’s say Buffalo is in a 3 WR set… D needs to double Diggs and have 2 very good man on man corners to cover the other 2. they need a player on Josh running/ underneath crossing routes/ short dumps. 4 rush the passer. that leave 2 Dmen to handle Knox., RB, and help contain Josh.
  24. In Miami they could have a bunch of bikini babes distracting the players…..
  25. they played 2 teams who have very strong DLs.
