  1. Don't care about that division rival and defending super bowl champ that we play twice a year and have a 5-33 record against in the last 18 years? The team that we have to beat to win the AFC East? You don't care about that team? They're basically what stands in our way of ever winning our division. Look at the QBs this guy has played with. He caught 50 balls with the Jets. He's young, tall, solid and athletic. They'll put him in position to make plays.
  2. AFCN: Browns AFCS: Colts AFCW: KC AFCE: Bills (Brady's retiring after the draft)

  4. Between March and early February, tbd should be the Ellis Island of threads. Bring us your poor, your tired, your petty posts yearning to be universally panned.
  5. It’s a Friday in early April. Take a deep breath.
  6. Would you agree that when he retires he will do it after the draft to help the patriots?
  7. Correct. I was leaning more toward moving up in the draft than Rosen.
  8. And then Brady retires or Rosen plays behind him for a year?
  9. The occasional five or six IPAs.
  10. I figured that would clear it up. Some people don’t understand what theory means. When have the patriots telegraphed any of their moves? They’re not going to ruin their draft by paying a premium to move up because everyone knows they need a QB.
  11. Hear me out. I was just in the gym. And I was in between sets and my brain was like let’s think about the Patriots for a second. And he made a lot of good points and we put two and two together and came up with this bulletproof theory. Also Brady’s 43.
  12. This is way more shoutbox material, but I’d love to get it in writing. Why would Brady immediately announce his retirement after the Suoer Bowl and make it harder for the Pats to trade down and go after a future QB. I’m saying we witnessed Brady’s last season, and he will announce his retirement after the draft.
  13. congratulations, you're an arena team.
  14. Away Browns. Get them before they gel as a team and get Hunt back.
  15. Remember that time an anamolous thing happened? Let’s make future football decisions based on that.
  16. That's great that you think he really just wants to spend time with his faith and family. The real story will be out soon and the Pats will distance themselves from him when it does. Guessing he got caught cheating on his wife.
  17. Don't fire Housley. Stop giving these players excuses for not showing up every night. This has plagued the Sabres for years, well before Phil. They're treated like royalty. They get paid. Excuses are made for them. Coaches are blamed. They turn in a losing season and coaches are blamed.
  18. Again, if we trade back, I could see it being a possibility if there's a good talent on board. Look at Michel. 1st rd. pick for the Pats. The dude's a beast, and the reason the Pats moved the chains when Brady turned into Father Time at the end of the season.
  19. There's a difference between putting your kicking team out there and trying to bounce a football correctly and having your team recover it vs. putting your offense on the field and running a set play.
  20. Last year, onside kick recoveries were at 8%. A 4th and 15 has a much higher % of conversion than recovering an onside kick. Questions: Why are we rewarded the losing team with another possession? What if the defense intercepts it and takes it in for a TD? Does that count? What if there is an illegal hands penalty? Are they awarded a first down? What if the offense takes a penalty? The defense can just decline and take the ball on the 35? Here's Slate's take on the rule. PS they mention on the team's own 30, not 35. https://slate.com/culture/2018/12/nfl-kickoff-rule-change-4th-and-15-play.html
  21. so much for that new members starting posts protocol.
  22. Need defense now. Line penetration and run stopping.
  23. We all didn't just come to the conclusion one day. A memo wasn't put out that we should hate Rodak. Just go look at his coverage. It's pretty easy to see. Maybe he's tried to steer to unbiased coverage recently, but for the last few years he made no bones about being a Pats homer.
  24. Bills can recruit FAs when we're not competing against other teams for those FAs. Simple. You never see '5 teams in talks with [player]" and the Bills come out winning that FA.
  25. he's a pretty good pass catcher! that could be nice for goal line situations.
