Josh has been hurt before. Twice actually. Miami is going to come out hot today. It makes sense to not put your best players in harms way for a semi meaningless game. Especially when home field means almost nothing.

So beat up our starters against the Dolphins so we can most likely play them again the very next week and do it again? It’s not a good plan.

We need to win or for pitt to lose. And then what happens if that doesn’t happen? We might not get a home divisional round game? Only if the Steelers win their wild card. So basically for us to actually be hurt by any of this our backups need to lose to Miami and pitts backups need to beat Cleveland and pitt needs to win their wildcard game. I’ll take those chances and not start our starters.

So basically by putting our starters in, we’re gambling and saying Pittsburgh’s backups will beat the Browns, our backups won’t beat Miami and Pittsburgh will win their playoff game as well. That’s a lot of ifs to expose your team to injury before a potential Super Bowl run.

Great but he still needs reps regardless. His first game can’t be a full speed playoff.

Sit the starters. Pittsburgh is starting their backups. It’s not worth it.

Another week of rest and some limited snaps next week for a full workload in the playoffs. It’ll be nice having a rested wr.

I’m still trying to figure out why this game continues to be billed as a coin toss? Everyone picking or preview articles are couching it this way. They’re 5-6 and we’re 8-3. Do people still not respect us or is this a way to hype up a kind of mediocre matchup?
