So they weren’t selling out for the pass the other 51 plays? That makes no sense. When you have a balanced run/pass, the defense has to guess more. When you throw 51 times, every play is selling out for the pass, regardless of the score. Running would’ve been effective in any quarter. And if their front 7 stacked the box then you throw. That’s 101. -

You have to actually run the ball for anyone to be fooled by the play action. I agree…that he did that…last year. This is a new year and the league has 19 more games of tape on us.

We averaged 21 carries last season. Just give them all to the back and have Josh on 3rd/4th and 1.

He averaged 6.5 yards on 11 carries. How much does another 14 carries change the game? Personally, Josh throwing 51 times isn’t sustainable, and we did him zero favors by not establishing the run.

Cam is the all time qb rushing td leader with 70 TDs. The next highest is Young with 43. He’s also second all time in qb rushing yards behind Vick. It’s pretty simple: on defense, we thought we could zone scheme kelce and hill, and not pressure Mahomes and somehow...win? on offense, they blitzed relentlessly, our WRs were manhandled, so Josh had no one to throw to. Didn’t help that we had zero run game to threaten them with.

It happens to me too. Sometimes. I get my neck bent backwards against hard turf by a 200-lb db and I go limp and can’t stand and have a dazed look. But I usually get right back up and finish loading the dishwasher.
