  1. It’s only the rookies and probably conditioning drills and some basic classroom time. Not really a big deal. The team starts like pretty much everyone else.
  2. Haack and Ford. Maybe Ford to get to the PS, but e already know we have nothing with him, so take a shot developing another gem in the rough. I’ve seen all I need from Ford.
  3. Augster, did you just throw one two many dumbbells in the gym with all that ovaltone rage? 😇🦬🏋️‍♂️👹 Literally! Don’t steal his bench or weights in the gym? Don’t get me mad! You wouldn’t like me when I’m mad!
  4. You mean…. Between the hair and the voice, well.
  5. Do I hear 35, 40? We’ll played Augster. By all means, please keep driving insane salaries so they have to purge or go bankrupt.
  6. Ben in his prime which is a long time ago was an unorthodox QB in that he would just shed LB’s and Safeties off of him, but not on his best day is he as good and dynamic as JA17. Ben deserves the HOF, and won’t be surprised if he even gets it in the first bout, but will be timely after some of the other 1st ballot guys in years prior like Brees. He’s a slam dunk.
  7. 9-10 wins? So you’re expecting 7-8 losses. Have you not watched this team in 2020 and 21. A winning game until 13 seconds and now we’re mediocre? We will be anywhere from 11 at the VERY worst to 14-3. I’m giving a range as you can’t predict critical injuries to key players.
  8. As usual Chans with you’re inflammatory persona, I said it was a bonehead move and Daboll tried to get too cute on THAT PLAY. I did not indicate Daboll was not an excellent OC and was deserving of his HC position at the Giants. This is you blowing a comment on ONE PLAY, and extrapolating to stating Daboll is a joke. I’m also confident Dorsey will have his bumps in his first OC job, but happy it’s him where Allen feels comfortable with him. I’m sure it’s all going to work out, and no I don’t freak out when a run play goes for five yards. I’m not a reactionist.
  9. Alpha, you and I are like the Borg with a hive mind on this thread. The reason why slow as heck Brady is so darn good at the sneak as he’d tell the OC to go to hell and wouldn’t do some Tom foolery tactic, but knows how to get small and low. Morse if he knows what’s coming needs along with the Guards to bow up the defenders and like a wrestling move where you shoot on the legs get looowwwww. Allen has demonstrated this tactic on more than one occasion so don’t mess with what works. So I guess on that one play Allen needs to grow in telling Daboll to pound salt and he’s going for it quick. I think what we saw in Allen in the last quarter of the year and what reports have come out is he will in the future. The bottom line for me is keep the run, it just be smart about it. If Devin can’t handle the load up the middle with maybe a sprinkle of 3rd and 1 with Moss as a bowling ball, and Cook to the outside then get more guys, but Allen is not the solution. To ignore Allen as a scrambler, and some creative runs along with him running when the play breaks down is not going to change. Like I said, around 400-450 per season or maybe a little more is doable.
  10. No worries brother. I agree with you’re support FWIW. There has been this never ending argument we won’t have the $ to pay them all who comes due. I’m not sure I buy it as next year the capologists projects in the mid 220’s, but the year after the mid 250’s, and goes up from there. Id love a Knox deal early, but the three positions to tag as the tag is low is Safety, TE, and RB. WR is now ridiculous, but if Gabe has a breakout year, they can work out some deal if they see worth it. We need Knox though in personnel as it’s so dam difficult to find TE’s.
  11. Augster, both have value, but first the Hawks aren’t trading him, and they are both dynamic. Why give stuff up when you have to pay either one? I say you stay with the daily you know than…
  12. Well written and as long as the sneaks are still in then I agree other creative runs and especially his ability to be mobile and make a decision when scrambling either there is a hole deeper to the WR, or left open for JA17 to take off and slide or run to the sidelines where he can avoid hits. As long as he runs smart and remembers always live for another play, I’m fine with his running. The crap up the middle needs to go to Devin. Cook is now a weapon to the outside and was watching at the gym some stupid thing on ESPN (I know I always purport I hate them, but it was on so well). My point is they showed several Kamara clips and mostly his swing passes, etc. if he could be 60% of Kamara wow would we be dynamic. I am frothing at the mouth to think what we were and now add the Cook swing factor, and then changed up for 12 personnel with Knox and Howard for a small % of the time. Neither of the last two options am i saying our bread and butter. We still need Devin up the middle, and most importantly our 3 wide sets, with Knox and Devin where we can be most deadly.
  13. So the avg then is 550 yards per yr over 4 yrs. Running is not going away and thankfully he’s protected better now than in 18 when he went out for four weeks. The running into going away, but controlled to around 400-50 makes sense enough to keep defenses honest. Whats surprising a few years ago before the leg injury of all people Alex Smith used to avg in some years around the 500 mark. He also was a master at getting rid of the ball before hit. The game manager comment was always negative but the guy kept moving the chains. Allen will continue to be dynamic, but also know when to throw away.
  14. Quite honestly with his frame at 6’2”, and if what someone just wrote he was 216 and growing, then I like a fast solid route runner who has the strength to deal with contested catches. I thought Metcalf was around that size. I’m not saying Davis is Metcalf yet, but let’s hope this year.
  15. Thats different. If he was 216 and you noticed he gained a couple then that means he only put on 7-8 lbs. this off season. That’s normal with the right training and nutrition.
  16. Which is more reasonable. Lean guys (not O Linemen) if clean guys can gain 7 lbs. and makes sense. 17 in a few months is unrealistic. Made sense Stampede and thanks for the clarification. He was clocked at 238 lbs. last year. I’m hopeful he’s still around 240-45 as he’s still lean and his speed is what we need not girth.
  17. Except Opposite world with women.
  18. Always good to hear from you bud.
  19. Nucci, no disagreement but one problem. The CBA. As you know this has to be negotiated and there are leverage points on either side. Ill bet a plug nickel ( kidding as I don’t bet) this doesn’t see daylight until 2031. The union will just fight it until they get something they want. I’d love what I mentioned to happen next year, but I do t see it happening until the CBA. The next question is who is the 18th partner. Right now it’s the opposite conference same previous year seeding. I guess they could go to two NFC teams in our case with #1 seeding as would be easy. The nice thing is we get 9 home games every year vs. every other. IDCbut trust me Nuccman, I want it happening as soon as possible. I just don’t see how you can’t have 1 without the other 2 in 18 games, 2 byes, 2 preseason games. It’s too logical. The last point is when do you start the season or when do you finish? Do we actually cross the barrier which to me would be preferred and start on Labor Day which they have been dead set against it forever, or do we deal with the season bleeding another week into February.
  20. Hey bud, by the league or players or coaches or former inset etc. almost every year. What keeps coming up between the league and the union in. Serious reports is the notion of an 18 game season will be negotiated going to 2 byes, and 2 preseason games. It makes sense to lump the three together from a player safety, and business sense. It’s not expected from what reports keep coming out, and no I didn’t save the articles so just do a google search and you’ll find a lot of stuff. I’m all for it where 1 bye is in the first 8 and the next bye on the next 4. More television time, and more time for the guys to heal. I’ve also heard about a rec. to have at least 1 inter conference or maybe 2 competitive practice weeks for 2-3 days. You’ll often hear coaches say they get as much from these practices as they do preseason games and can control the play better. Anyway, good topic brother, but I wouldn’t expect until the next CBA. I believe the current CBA ends in 2030, so maybe you get you’re wish in 2031. Its all in the negotiation tactics.
  21. Bud I looked it up. Just do a google search. The announced was 2/10/21. I honestly don’t remember when and how, but unless a news announcement is wrong and you’re right, it was 2/10/21. Does it really matter? The point is that the whole argument “needs to make the SB, deep in the playoffs is irrelevant as the votes are tabulated after week 18. It’s what happens in the regular season that the voters use as info for their selection. My thought of one area McD can do is commandingly winning against playoff opponents or speculated during the season like GB or CN or KC, and securing the #1 seed. Those are two areas he can control and could maybe influence voters. Most of the time the voters like the guy from nowhere like Stephanski over McD in 2020 where McD was Robbed (IMO) as McD was 13-3, beat some impressive opponent like the Rams and at the time of defeat the Hawks before they imploded. The problem is McD did it right. He and Beane as a tandem slowly and methodically built this team up from the ashes the right way purging crap contracts, taking lumps, really changing culture, developing players, making shrewd decisions in trades and FA acquisitions with few splashes, but solid pick ups. Thats how you build a team for long term success and until this year remaining fiscally disciplined to not pay the piper down the road. Even now though, they placed their metaphoric chips all in on 21 Red, and went for it on Miller and other decisions. What I love about it is they are structuring things to coincide with the explosion of salary cap over the next 7 years. It’s visionary and not short sighted like other teams. So voters get enamored with the Stephanski type guy even though he walked into a highly talented roster. McD had heavy lifting with Beane. He’s been COY in my book as I don’t analyze a body of work in 13 seconds. I look at the big picture. Too many not pickers. With that said, I doubt even if we beat as an example GB by 10 and others and have the #1 seed do I think he’ll get it. They’ll give it to a guy like McDaniel on Miami if they win 11 games, but Tua looks better (even though we’ll smoke them by 17 if they make it past the wildcard), because we are THE BILLS! GO BILLS!!
  22. I felt the same new era. Chandman, stop giving us a heart attack! You're a salty dog at times, but we still luvya.
  23. I like the idea of expanding markets, but some cities mentioned I don’t know if ever would Fly. Some excellent cities where you can go from like to love that makes sense is Mexico City, even Rio, and of course Toronto, and the main Germany cities. Australia is a logistical nightmare like anywhere in China or Japan. Other places may never generate that interest. The other idea I selfishly love as I hate getting up at 4-5 am Monday when the SB is on Sunday night. It keeps me from going to SB parties often as they can be a lot of fun, but they also lead to a midnight getting home as half the party is having fun talking to you’re friends and making it an enjoyable evening. I’s love a Saturday SB party where you can sleep in, make a wonderful breakfast for you’re significant other and if kids still at home with them. No worries about staying out late (Uber of course) and reverse it. I bet a lot more people when they’re a little tired Sunday would stay home and watch all the awards on Sunday night and heck given the other thread could even announce GMOY and COY. How fun would that be? I’m certainly not young. A middle aged guy, but we still love having fun just more judicious about it than our 20 and 30 yr old Bills fans. Granted the old timers would stick to their motto this must be payed on Sunday, but would come around eventually. The other ideas just my opinion are moronic. In what world does a billionaire owner of a franchise be forced to give up his own business which is a cash cow because they don’t win a championship. Obviously this person needs a lesson on free markets, capitalism, and socialism. ######ed. Yes on Saturday! Yes on expansion. As far as the 18 game thing, that’s inevitable whether you like it or not with the new CBA. Nothing will happen until then no matter how much conjecture goes on, and the compromise as I like to play Carnac the Magnificent is two byes, 2 preseason, and probably encouraged inter conference practices maybe one or two to accomplish football wise what the preseason games can do. The difference is they go head to head for three days. I dont even worry about that point as nothing happens until the CBA (I think that’s 2032).
  24. It’s an insurance company. Highmark sounding better?
