  1. i just got back from a neil young show. believe me the man can play guitar.
  2. i don't believe dickey will be joining them anytime soon. i don't think he and gregg are on speaking terms. but of course they're not the same band without him. to their credit, they are not trying to be either.
  3. i think he knew how well she sang and knew how she would be perceived this guy is beyond a marketing genius, and look at the stir this has caused
  4. anyone else think that cowell might have been in on this from the beginning?
  5. did everyone forget that TG vetoed a mid-season trade to Buffalo last season?
  6. > Do we really need to sign a RB for 3 games? probably worried about what we'd have left if something happens to freddy during TC or the (endless) preseason
  7. since it hit the ground, it would actually be a meteorite
  8. not exactly a credible nfl source but the first line of his wikipedia page is rather interesting http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laveranues_Coles
  9. the wynkoop in downtown denver is one of the best brewpubs in the country. try the railyard ale while you are playing pool on one of their 20+ tables. with your itinerary in only one week, you're going to be spending a lot of time driving. watch those passes going to/fro telluride.
  10. I actually did get a rock. It's actually petrified dinosaur poop that my dad got me as a kind of gag gift - but it makes a pretty cool addition to my rock collection Also got a 1TB external hard drive, and the 'Perrault said to Rico' book someone else mentioned - very good reading so far
  11. it's nice and sunny here in denver too okay, so it's like 15 degrees but hey it IS sunny!
  12. > Nothing justifies owning a cat! I don't care how many mice you have. That's because the cat owns you, not the other way around
  13. coming out of lurk mode to agree wholeheartedly with this thread +1
  14. we are absolutely giddy here in colorado at the prospect of our game being flexed. we've already got a late game start, which means solid tailgating time no matter what. we have tons of things planned including a big party at lodos bar and grill (across from coors field) saturday before the game, and an even bigger tailgate the day of at the game at the VQ Hotel parking lot directly next to the stadium. would love to see / meet some stadium wallers this december! coloradobills.com, check the forum for more details oh and lots of bills fans have their tickets in sections 119 and 120 so pay particular attention to those sections when buying tickets if you want to sit near a lot of bills supporters
  15. i've been there twice now, had a great tailgating experience each time. since the nfl won't let you into the lots until 3 hours before kickoff, chief fans literally start their tailgating while driving into the stadium. no kidding, we saw numerous grills and smokers being fired up in the back of open bed pickups while idling in the lines waiting for the gates to open. i lived in KC for a year - would not really recommend downtown as this is a city that defines midwest urban sprawl... there is frankly not a lot of action right downtown unless you like overpriced shopping at crown center or on the plaza (which is actually several miles from the big buildings) gates barbecue, however, is well worth the trip to main street in downtown (best working class bbq in the city). also the negro league baseball HOF and the jazz museum at 18th and vine are good to visit (one ticket gets you into both) if you get into town early and have time to kill on saturday
  16. my sister had pony my cousin had pony so what's wrong with that?

  19. spelling the future hall of famer's name wrong in the title and twice in the post (sorry could not resist)
  20. i've been there twice for games in full bills gear you will be heckled, but only verbally. they are good folks in KC. the tailgating experience is great. i once remarked to a KC fan how there were absolutely NO cops or security guards to be found anywhere except at crosswalks near the stadium. he responded 'this is the midwest man!' later he explained that there are cops there but they choose to patrol in street clothes to keep the paranoia to a minimum. 'worst' thing that ever happened to me was getting caught near the stadium for their 'war dance' : about a dozen indians (native americans) surrounded my friend and i in a circle and began chanting and singing. it's apparently a ritual of theirs because nfl films showed up. we danced around while they put their 'hex' on us, then at the end the indian 'chief' threw a smoke bomb which enveloped us all and when it cleared they were all gone! good clean american fun, their tailgate smelled GREAT with all the sweet wood smoke, and i wouldn't hesitate to go back again this year.
