Breaking News: Rex Ryan and Rob Ryan Fired
Peter replied to Mike in Horseheads's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The other thing that I have learned in the past few days (from someone else) is that it also is too much to expect an NFL defensive player to know how to tackle. I guess I may be too demanding as a coach. -
No. He was too lazy to pick up the gun.

Tyrod omitted from season-ending hype video
Peter replied to bobobonators's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We will see TT on the field about as much as in that video. I wonder what his teammates think of that. -
Didn't Mario get selected for the Pro Bowl now that he is playing in that scheme he said was made for him at the beginning of the year?

Breaking News: Rex Ryan and Rob Ryan Fired

Ok guys. Whatever. I guess it is just me. For some reason, I think that it would be nice to have players that have some football smarts and are not so eager to admit just how stupid they are to the media or are so stupid they did not realize they admitted this to Ty Dunne. -
No worries. I am tired too. Search we definitely miss, but wasn't he a salary cap issue and he wanted more money than we could pay. I also would be good to still have that kid that we let go for some reason and now starts for Pittsburgh (Ross Cockerel). I always heard from people who follow Duke football how the kid was very smart and a team leader - together with having great instincts.
-
Who are you missing or going to miss? I loved Leodis but he seemed to get trashed here about as much as any player. Same pretty much with Bradham. Mario is done. Stick a fork in him. Gilmore has been trashed here maybe even more than Leodis. He has a ton of talent, but I have no interest in a CB who is not going to try, point at other players while slowing down instead of chasing a WR, refusing to even try to tackle . . . . Kyle Williams - I love Kyle and he has missed substantial time these past two years. Unfortunately, he has not played a full season in the past couple of years. The defense is better when we have a healthy Kyle Williams. Aaron Williams - I love the guy and he was missed big time. I do not know what the future holds. Seantrel Henderson - I like him too. I am not sure what the future holds with the medical and marijuana issues. Sammy - will he ever have a healthy season while still a Buffalo Bills player? I do not know. We gave up too much for him, but we are a better team with a healthy Sammy. Z. Brown - I wish we had put in a team option when we signed him. L. Alexander - see Z. Brown. Woods - I like him. He also has had his detractors here. I suspect we can re-sign him or sign someone that could fill his role.

Breaking News: Rex Ryan and Rob Ryan Fired
Peter replied to Mike in Horseheads's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
In this case, so dumb that they cannot run a defense that other dumb football players were able to run and so dumb that they did not even realize that they admitted just how stupid they are to Ty Dunne. -
As I said earlier about Mario: Never was so much given to someone for so little. I judge people by a simple measure. Is this guy someone on whom I can rely in a bar fight? Will this person be by my side or will he quit and run away? Neither Mario nor Doug Marrone pass my test. Rex left us with a pile of poo? We still have many of the players that supposedly were the 85 Bears when Schwartz was the DC . . . except now they have admitted to Ty Dunne that they are stupid.

Sully: Bills' bozos leave Lynn to twist on his own
Peter replied to Rico's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Both Sullen and Bucky used to be @TBN_____ Have you noticed that they did away with the TBN bit. I wonder if this means anything. Could be nothing, but odd that they both would change. -
Breaking News: Rex Ryan and Rob Ryan Fired
Peter replied to Mike in Horseheads's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You guys got what you wanted. Rex is gone. Sadly, we still have players that are so dumb they are even admitting it to the media. We are still stuck with these guys . . . as is whoever is our next HC. -
Don't be revisionists like Whaley. He was pissed that he had to drop into coverage. All he wanted to do was rush the passer without any other responsibilities. He ultimately embarrassed himself by playing patty cake with a series of offensive tackles and then showed he was full of BS when he has produced nothing with a scheme that he claimed at the beginning of the season was made for him . . . . Real team guy whatever you think of Rex's scheme. Your arguments become less credible if you are going to rely on Mario for support. If you get your binoculars out at the Dolphins last game and point them at the bench, you might be able to see Mario.
-
I am here and still prefer to be fair rather than be part of the mob. Good for you. I think it was Whaley. He is suspect number one and there really are not any other suspects other than people close to him who leaked with his consent. We have read about how he has been whispering in ownership's ear and we all know who benefits by throwing the head coach under the bus by leaking to the media.
-
What was he right about? He complained as if he was forced to become a defensive back. Someone here (I forgot who) ultimately found a stat site that enumerated just how few times he had to cover and it was a handful of time of the year. It was also humorous to consider Mario's complaints when watching the Denver Broncos last year and when they won the Super Bowl and to watch Von Miller drop into coverage and not B word and moan about Wade Philips.
-
Once Rex stopped completing his sentences, Whaley got jealous . . . .
-
Churchill once said: Never was so much owed by so many to so few. In Mario's case: Never was so little given by someone for so much.
-
Funny that you should mention Whaley given that I am convinced that it was Whaley or people close to him (with his consent) who undermined Rex anonymously with people like LaCanfora etc. Hmmmm.

Breaking News: Rex Ryan and Rob Ryan Fired
Peter replied to Mike in Horseheads's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Whatever you think of Rex, (certain) players basically admitting that they are not smart enough is not a good look for them or the team. -
This would maybe mean something if these guys went on the record or Ty Dunne asked them how they explain not tackling.

MMQB: Rex told team playoffs were out of reach on 12/11
Peter replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How does this make any sense whatsoever given what he said in press conferences?!? Even leading up to the Miami game, Rex said the Bills had a puncher's chance. Whoever is trying to trash Rex after the fact with stories like this really needs to come up with something that passes the smell test. Is the guy who once said he and Rex used to complete each other's sentences putting this BS out? -

They have a job that most of us would love. Many on this board spend more time and are more thoughtful in their posts than they are in what they get paid to do. I do not feel sorry for them. If they do not like being Buffalo sports reporters, they should get a job with the New York Times or even Bleacher Report (like Ty Dunne) . . . oh wait, who am I kidding. No one better than TBN is hiring them and they are not going anywhere. -
12-28: Media Day - Anthony Lynn's Presser as HC
Peter replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The only people who really care may be EJ and AL. Beyond that, I do not know. If Gilmore is out of concussion protocol, I expect him to give even less effort than he did on some of those plays this past week. -
John Murphy Yells at 11 Year Old for Criticizing Whaley
Peter replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well said on both counts. When the Bills lose, I am miserable enough. I try to avoid Sullen, the others, and WGR. Negativity breeds negativity. I choose to stay away. As someone else said, it is porn for Sully and Bucky (and some of the others). -
Bills Announce Whaley to Lead the Head Coaching Search

When did Doug and Rex stop completing each other's sentences? That is funny. Well done. -

As a side note: 1) it is going to be interesting to see how the rest of the players approach this game given that the starting QB has been pulled for non football reasons. Will they put in little to no effort? Will certain players find a way not to play the game or treat it like a preseason game and do everything possible to not get hurt. 2) I feel sorry for EJ. He may be the only one putting in 100% effort and may end up getting killed.
