  1. These guys and Bucky and Buscaglia are so smart that they could see things almost 20/20 after the games. Brilliant football minds all.
  2. Yeah right. You just missed them. They are celebrating at the Bastille.
  3. I could not disagree more and I defended that piece of you know what. He was a charlatan who quit on Syracuse, quit on the Bills, collected millions for doing nothing, and has a great agent who acts as the puppet master to get LaCanfora and others to claim that he is such a hot candidate etc. You can have him. Ugh. it kind of helps when you have a full compliment of players at your disposal . . . and would have if we had them available throughout these past two seasons.
  4. Follow the money or in this case who kept their job and who is leading the HC search.
  5. You can have that quitter every day of the week and twice on Sundays.
  6. That is funny. The TBN guys already have started ripping him apart. Poor Doug thought that his problems were solved by throwing Rex under the bus. Little did he know that they are going to go after his jugular.
  7. Shhh. Doug Whaley does not want the Pegulas to know all this. He wants to blame the 17 year drought on Rex.
  8. This should be posted in every thread in which someone links a Bucky article. Thank you.
  9. God forbid that anyone should have some personality. Some of you guys seem almost wistful of St. Doug's personality.
  10. If EJ starts as reported, has anyone heard that TT would be inactive. If reports true, I would expect that they would deactivate him altogether.
  11. It is hard to believe that he has not won the Pulitzer yet or been stolen away by the New York Times or even Bleacher Report. I also agree with your take but I suspect that that it was more than sporting wood and his keyboard probably is a bit sticky now.
  12. I have a hard time believing that (what I believe to be revisionist history) that Whaley was not in favor of hiring Rex. Sorry.
  13. Interesting. Until someone convinces me that Doug presented Rex with an option at QB better than TT, what were we to do but play the cards dealt and make the best of a fairly mediocre situation (at best).
  14. It is either going to be someone who is going to be beholden to Whaley or someone who will lead to Whaley's diminished influence or leaving the organization.
  15. Apparently, Doug Whaley was caught running away from a truck with a big Buffalo logo that had been keyed and the tires taken.
  16. If you cannot tackle in before you come to the NFL, you may want to consider something other than playing defense. Let's not pretend this is a scheme issue. There were three TDs on which there were egregious missed tackles. There were two PI calls that should have been called that were blatant and impossible to miss - except of course for these refs.
  17. The first three guys you list on the O publicly wanted Rex back. Same with number 1. How many games did the following miss the past two years: Shady Sammy Wood Woods Harvin Marcell Kyle Ragland Aaron Williams (his back up, and the back up to his back up) Darby Gilmore Lawson What does it say about the quality of your QB when other teams PUBLICLY state that their strategy was to force him to be a QB?
  18. How much talent do we really have? (Have you seen some of the tackling?) How much talent was available to play given injuries and suspensions? What does it say about the talent of your QB when more than one opposing team says that their strategy was to make TT have to be a QB. Ugh. I respect your opinion. You are not part of the pitchfork crowd. We just disagree. How many TDs were directly caused by the failure to tackle by Bills defenders? This is not a scheme issue. How many TDs were taken away from the Bills because of the failure to call obvious pass interference? The game should not even have gone to OT given the above.
  19. I am saying that Rex was the best coach that we have had for the past 17 years despite the depth of injuries, suspensions, and lack of a top half passing game. He deserved more time than less than two years. He deserved more than leaks minutes before a huge game against Pittsburgh completely undermining his position as HC. I honestly believe (and realize I may be in minority of those who actively post here) but I believe that, if he had a fair amount of time, he could have been a very successful coach for the Bills for a long time.
  20. Keep in mind that notwithstanding all the crap surrounding this team, in Rex's last game, we lost in OT by just 3 points to a very good team after fighting back from a deficit. Rex never lost the team. And, oh by the way, Rex was the one who promoted Lynn after two games despite all of the initial negativity and questioning surrounding the move.
  21. If the equivalent of guys like you had gotten their way, Sir Alex would have lost his job after the first few years. (No, I am not saying Rex is Sir Alex) As much as you try, Rex will always have the winningest record as a Bills HC for the past 17 years with the injuries and without an elite QB. We should now judge Doug Whaley with the same latitude (none) as we (collectively and as the team) did with Rex.
  22. Not really. Who times a leak to come out minutes before the Pittsburgh game other than someone who is trying to further an agenda. Who kept his job? Who is going to lead the HC search?
  23. Yeah, he just had the best record since Wade. Firing Wade was not a bright move either. I remember how people were so up in arms that Wade did not wear headphones on this board . . . .
  24. In a sense, he was. It did not help that he got suspended and hurt and missed so many games . . . all while Rex had his back. Et tu Brutus?
  25. Spend some time reading the reaction around the league today and going forward about this move. The ultimate question is how do you fire the guy who was the most successful Bills coach in the past 17 years after LESS than two years with all of the injuries etc. The second question will be: how did the guys who have been around the longest during this playoff drought and more responsible for it manage to keep their jobs? Hmmm. I wonder how Doug et al managed to keep their jobs?
