  1. Actually VA is correct in this case eball. Plus it was apparent to most at the time that Shaw wasn't reading hot route situations correctly at the time...
  2. I would agree with that. As long as he doesn't have an axe to grind (which I suppose it's possible he still might), he atleast knows x's and o's well and uses them in discussion.
  3. Stache me in your suitcase, mmmkay?
  4. Good luck to you my friend...
  5. Once again, exactly.... Notice how the relevant praise and positivity was completely left out , as if it wasn't even metioned. It's no different than using statistics
  6. I agree with that my friend. It's just that sometimes it seems more PC to be negative if you want to be considered a "true fan" and not a homer. It's all about being balanced to me but I suppose it takes all kinds.
  7. So true. Some posters seem to feel it is their duty to assume any positive posts are "homer" posts. They feel that always pointing out the negative, as obvious as it may already be, is "keeping it real".
  8. That would be more interesting if he indeed had a penchant for "staring at a single receiver"..
  9. It's his ability vs. the run that holds him back on the chart right now. That came right from Mularkey's mouth last week at camp.
  10. dude, the Bills use a TON of zone blitz in their scheme (probably second only to Pitt) and it has increased each year since Gray's arrival.
  11. You can rest assured that the Bill's staff saw him hold on for those two timely third down conversions. Both solid grabs with one including dragging the man for an extra yard or two to get the FD. Like you guys said, his blocking at the position is second to none on the team.
  12. Nice read Simon, thanks. I have been surprised thus far at the O-line's ability to pass protect. They're well ahead of where I had them figured for at this point and as you say even held up well on a few plays where JP could have stayed home longer. Anderson did make a very nice kickout on Willis's TD but you are right overall about him, and he should be more dominant in the run game than he is right now.
  13. There were three almost consecutive plays in which he .. 1- Blew up a run play in the backfield for a 2 yard loss. 2- Flushed the QB out to the right, destroying the play design and forcing an incompletion. 3- Persued latterally from a left side rush all the way over to the right to meet the ball carrier for a modest 2 yard gain. If you have the game broadcast these plays were all highlighted in slo-mo and discussed by Levy and Tasker. Making 3 great plays when you're only in the game for @ 10-15 is pretty impressive to me. BTW, Nobody in a Bill's uni was "pushed off the ball" in the Colts game. Not once.
  14. AKC, I saw the same thing you did re: Edwards in the GB game and I totally agree on your assessment of his play in that game , but I won't go as far as you and say unimpressive preseason because 1- he had a literal highlight reel in the Colts game. 2- He also played solid in the GB scrimmage, and 3- has looked good against our own line in camp.
  15. The defense on that drive was working strictly on zone techniques, as was pointed out several times by Levy during and after the drive. They didn't bring any extra rushers except for on one play where they brought Milloy. They were using a live situation as a drill basically.
  16. I've had many a disagreement with mr. VA. Sometimes he's been right, sometimes I have turned out to be the same. I have come to appreciate him in this twisted football family even considering his strange, Ray-Finkle-like affection for billboarding a player and throwing darts at his head up in the spare bedroom at Mom's house. It must be nice for Travis H now that he doesn't wake up late every night with a sudden sharp, needle like pain in his hand.
  17. I DEMAND to know, as a PAYING Bills customer, just exactly what he said to himself just after he scored the touchdown tonight! ... oh and how many times did he pee today?
  18. A fair question... None of the catches I saw were made spectacularly until George Wilson's catch of a Holcomb throw. Though many of the catches by Losman's receivers were solid because they were made tight in traffic. All the completed balls I saw were in the right vicinity and at times he led them well enough for them to continue and get some YAC.
  19. That was one of the "drops" because though difficult, it was catchable. FYI, Reed made another nice 3rd down grab a few moments ago...
  20. I saw 2 drops, one throw away that was a wise choice outside the pocket, one that was a bad route by Aiken, and 2 that JP threw too hard and high. I forget the other.
  21. Euhus caught one early, and one of the deep backups caught one here in the third.
  22. No problem. I share your concern about him and he's got to do it in the next two games as well to have a hope. He's certainly the type of guy you want to root for but he is indeed on the end of his rope.
  23. Lindell 54 YARD FG!!!!
  24. He looked fine tonight. Two overheated balls were his fault. 1 throw away. One where he threw to the spot on sight adjust but Aiken didn't shorten his route. Had some very crisp passes in traffic and a real nice tight out on 3rd down.
