  1. And a voice came from the heavens and said, "Quit circling the me damn wagons. How's that workin for you? Build thee a fort...a round fort"
  2. I haven't watched enough film to to make a fool proof case. But I believe our line has been much better since moving Wood back to his college postion. I think we haven't had that type of leader there since Kent Hull. So more props to Wood. <Who, BTW was labeled injury prone and got one playing defense after an interception...if I remember correctly.>
  3. Neither could John Murphy! I listened to the radio and Murph said the PAT just tied the game? WTF, I thought it put us up one. Kelso corrected him. Then I expected us to lose on the hail Mary and our DC blitzes Kiko...Yes! (read Marv Albert), Thanks Bill and posters for your comments and interpretations. And e-ball I now get the interpretation of the goal line due to your explanation...I just had to look at it differently. ;( ...
  4. I was in the Bills Backer nose bleed section Labor Day weekend in '98. A couple hooligans harrassed us big time. That being said SD is a great town and place to watch a game, Saw the blowout in '05 but didn't want to watch another beating a couple years ago.
  5. When I was 8 and 9 in '64 and '65 my family would go to Uncle Joe's for Sunday dinner in Bloomfield, NJ. While the rest of the family was doing the gathering around the dinner table Uncle Joe and I would go watch some football on the black and white. We would watch the Bills with that great cold weather defense. Uncle Joe would point out all the great players on those AFL championship teams. I remember the conservative offense with Jack Kemp, then bam, if we needed some instant offense the Bills would bring in the mad bomber. Great 1-2 punch. I was heartbroken when Lamonica went to Oakland. Back on the block I would play bulldog in the snow with my buddies all the while reliving those cold weather Bills games. I moved with my family to Oregon but never lost my love for cold weather football. My freshman year in college, 1973, I watched MNF with my college buddies while OJ and the Electric Company lit it up further cementing my fandom. I went back to Jersey my senior year. When I saw my Uncle Joe and told him, "You should be proud of me I'm still a Bills fan!" He said, "I was never a Bills fan. I'm a Giant's fan. I was just showing you how good they were." The Buffalo Bills - they had me in 1964.
  6. They're just trying to show support for Leodis. You know the peripheral vision exercise. One for all and all for one.
  7. Gotta love the English language. Do you think CJ will resign or resign?
  8. Joe Shipp Jerry's Craft Not so good boat names: Bill Bailey Roosevelt Leaks BOAT = Bring Out Another Thousand ...McDole's Hole
  9. Just win baby! That being said I like his upside, character and wholeheartily agree with MDH.
  10. +2. Watched the Sports Reporters this morning. Small segment on Buffalo and their heir apparent QB since Kelly. Two commented and both thought EJ was a reach at 14. Good to see you survived rounds 4 and 5
  11. Pretty much my sentiment. 41% of folks polled on billsdaily wanted a QB. We will see how EJ plays out. Robert Woods is a pick I like. Would have like Ertz then Woods but couldn't happen. After that we are back to wait and see. I hope Kiko pans out better then Shep. We don't need another ILB that gets pushed around. Marquise - wait and see.
  12. Yes he does. He took Ertz before we could.
  13. I live in Oregon also. He is not a big bruiser MLB and almost reminds me of a strong safety wearing #47. He would suck in Wanny's scheme (for lack of a better term). If Pettine moves him around I could see him being very effective. He's no Christopher Walken. Probably not even a wannabe if he tried.
  14. 2A) Ertz, Ertz, Ertz if available. 3 pick choice WR, TE, LB any combo
  15. When Barkley and USC beat the University of Oregon at Autzen in 2011 (38-35 4TDs) I thought he was the real deal. Last year not so much playing behind a suspect line (ala Kolb). I don't want him as the 8th pick. 2nd Round or later, Also, I wouldn't mind Ertz if he is available in the 2nd.
  16. Thanks for the reply and research. Rounds 4-7 was exactly what I was thinking. Also, I hear a lot of talk about waiting until the later rounds to acquire OL , RB and LB Then picks like Johnny White, Mark Asper, Wang and Tank Carder come to mind. Edit add reply to bold: Possibly coaching?
  17. Buddy Nix. Sorry I haven't done my homework but how many of his late round picks are still with the team and contribute?
  18. Point taken. We just need to find the talent in rounds 1-6 and UDFA.
  19. But then Seattle has an UFA corner in Brandon Browner. So it seems they may not need to be 1st or 2nd rounders.
  20. As of today so does WalterFootball.com mock draft (taking Patterson at 8).
  21. I understand and agree, but we did not draft Fitz.
