  1. I always thought Kaep only cared about himself with the whole kiss my own bicep thing. Maybe he's changed... <sarcasm font>
  2. Thank you for your service! (Pun and no disrepect intended)
  3. Wow. RIP. I will definitely miss him on my weekly fix of the Sports Reporters.
  4. I'm feeling a generation gap here Good pick. Vince Lombardi would be my pick for Coach. Billy Shaw was one of my favorites watching the '64-65 Bills with my uncle Joe Good point re Jimbo. He was brash but his fortitude helped the Bills get those 4 straight championships. Life has since thrown him some tough challenges which has he meet with the same fortitude and humbled him as well. I always thought Boomer Easision was a little holier than thou. Then when I saw all his challenges with Gunnar I realized that his actions backed up his words. Changed my opinion of him. Oh, and I hate the Cowboys! But I do respect any good athlete with great character.
  5. After watching the 30 for 30 on OJ it made me ponder my feelings as a fan. I was a fan of OJ and the Electric Company in college but as history would have it my fandom of OJ diminished with his downfall. Then Sunday's thread brought me back to my inner question - who embodies not only a great athlete but a good human being. The list of great athletes with questionable character is quite long. So I will propose 2 best players with great character accomplishents - one Buffalo Bill, one any NFL team: Buffalo Bill - Jack Kemp NFL - Walter Peyton I am interested in seeing some other opinions.
  6. Hi, my moniker is Uncle Joe. I am a Bills fan and I appreciate Robert Woods.
  7. I was more intrigued by some of the visuals I saw than the sound bites. Looked like a helicopter blade out there a couple of times IIRC.
  8. Haven't read the book but I did see him on HBO Sports recently.
  9. I'd rather have Rambo on he roster than IK right now.
  10. Good luck Leodis! Plenty of talent who performed better after being coached up by Henderson. Lotsa heart and wanted to stay in Buffalo. Worked hard to come back from the broken foot and made the pick Fitz last year. He was in my doghouse for the Foxboro McFumble and totally lost his confidence returning kicks last year. Best wishes - just don't run one all the way back on us. On a side note: I know they are clearing cap space. But they just cut 2 decent depth guys that wanted to play in Buffalo. They cut the Gay guy mid-season last year and had to bring him back the next week or so. Now we have to wait until next fall to see if these moves are beneficial.
  11. Underrated Daryle Lamonica - because the Bills brass shuffled him off to Oakland Overrated JP Losman & EJ Manuel - because they were drafted in the 1st round and given the keys to the car.
  12. Ah the return of the x-files and conspiracy abounds. CIGARETTE-SMOKING MAN: I couldn't care less. What I don't want to see is the Bills winning the Super Bowl. As long as I'm alive, that doesn't happen. JONES: That'll be tough, sir. Buffalo wants it bad.
  13. Manning: "Marcia, Marcia, Marcia" (in best funny looking guy/Steve Buscemi voice)
  14. Not wanting to miss his opportunity to make this thread - last weekend Adam Jones in ESPN "Antonio Brown was not hurt. I know he was faking" article said, "He deserved a Grammy Award for that," he said. "I know if you just got knocked out, you ain't going to be able to wink and tell me you're OK."
  15. "He's beating him like a rented mule." "(And the ref is just tuning him out)" Budweiser commercial
  16. Both started their careers in the single A Northwest League. Griffey in '87. Piazza in '89.
  17. "The greatest accomplishment is not in never falling, but in rising again after you fall" - Vince Lombardi Sports related - "Don't give up. Don't ever give up" - Jim Valvano
  18. I would take him in the 3rd if he is available and we have a pick.
