Bills O gets off to hot start. -
Why is Shadys health a concern? He's played in 12 + games every year in his career! Since 09 he's never missed more than 4 games, as a #1 workhorse for a majority of those years. He's rare air. I think he can put up numbers close to his MVP year I know his age. But his running style is rare, unique and will allow him 2-3 elite years in his 30s, he rarely takes a big shot... Again, why would Shady get hurt other than bad luck? In his near decade in the league he hasn't missed more than 4 games. He avoids hits, he hasn't lost a step, maybe gained one

Shady Ivory and Murphy will be a huge part of this pass offense . Shady is talking about Dabol very highly, calling him a genius and makes me wonder what they got cooking for a top 10 playmaker that totally gets overlooked and disrespected when talking about this offense. I need no further proof than Week 17 @ Jax with Tentative Taylor doing nothing , and was a b.s holding call away from putting up 150+ from scrimmage. Shady is special, he can carry this offense. I think they use Shady in a special and innovative way. Murphy looks just phenomenal . The story of Beane tracking him since he returned a punt on Carolina is a great lil nugget. He has the potential to be a complete back and just looks like he has progressed leaps and bounds , he could really be a stud behind Shady. Expect 2 back sets. Quick, easy routes. Let Shady and Murphy beat your lb all day. Finally Ivory has looked very solid. Ultimate change of pace from Shady/Murphy and also underrated pass catcher. He's the battering ram but also allows versatility in the scheme. If these 3 can be the engine of this offense, we are fine. Daboll will have plenty of quick hitters to them, getting them in space. I'm very excited to see what Daboll has cooked up, I think many will be surprised

Does rain make this a winnable game?
JerseyBills replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think it's winnable regardless. Ravens are a bit overrated , Bills underrated. It will be a competitive game imo . Shady, Ivory and Murphy should have a big day for this game and the season. -
This looks like a lock for the cover. I just got it in getting 8 points... The public is all over Bal. which is a great sign. I see a competitive lower scoring game I agree. I see Shady going nuts , Murphy continuing to break out and alot of easy, quick reads for Peterman.

For the 2018 Bills, Mack = Mario

I agree . I'll be generous and say 3 seasons but after that he was horrible.. -
For the 2018 Bills, Mack = Mario
JerseyBills replied to george c's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He was a cornerstone for one of the best defenses in the league in 2014 , which got us 9 wins, at the time was the most wins in a decade , unfortunately we had a bad O with Orton. I agree his production and age caught up with him but he definitely could have taken us to the promised Land with a competent offense. His side of the ball , they handled bussiness # 1 in Sacks # 4 ovr D Yes, he was a cornerstone on a Championship level defense -

Followed by a 10 or 11 sack season, I believe . All while being dominant in the run game as well. He was a top DE in the league his first 3 years here. -
Good post. A very underrated move.. Hope him and Edmunds can become a solid duo

AJ gone and no vet QB, are your expectations lower?
JerseyBills replied to stuvian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My expectations are the same , maybe even a little higher . For them to flat out get rid of AJ means they are very comfortable with Allen and/or Peterman. I think Daboll is going to be a creative , effective play caller too. I'm excited. I want at least 9 Wins. No regression. -
Less concerned with O-line than most...
JerseyBills replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well let's hope Daboll learned a thing or 2 in NE and installed a scheme that makes them seem serviceable, week 1 will definitely be a great test -
Less concerned with O-line than most...
JerseyBills replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Absolutely. I'm just so tired of hearing about the worse OL in the league with a scrimmage as their evidence. If it happens at Baltimore , that's something to talk about. Just tired of hearing about a scrimmage -

JerseyBills replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I've been saying this , ppl are panicking because we got manhandled by a top 3, stud DT in his prime and 3 very good DL surrounding him, in a SCRIMMAGE ! Where it was obvious McD was using this scrimmage to evaluate the OL , rotating guys in between series and didn't scheme for one of the best fronts in the game. Am I concerned a little? Sure. But it's more about the uncertainty how they play as a unit, not because of a scrimmage and like you said , Dabol will scheme around it , and one of the best playmakers in football will make a huge difference come next Sunday. -
I understand and I get it . Especially with the cap space available next year , Beane and McD can build on the foundation and truly put their stamp on this roster. But in the same breath, you really never know in this league. It's a league of "what ifs" for almost every club. The standard was set at 9 wins last year, anything less is a failure
